I used it for the first time around 6 months ago and have been using it at least once a fortnight since. It cleans my pores and leaves my skin so smooth and mattified. I especially like to use it before events as it helps when I apply my makeup and prevents oiliness for a few hours. I have always found it a little difficult to put on, but I don’t mind it being a little off as I usually lay down and relax while it’s on anyway. I always massage the excess serum into my face and neck after removing the mask to prevent wastage, it takes a while to dry but I don’t mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydrating and easy to use! I LOVE this product! I pick it up from Priceline whenever it is on 50% sale (Love that it comes in a 5 pack) and use it at least once per week. I typically cut slits around the eyes and nose so it fits well. I put it on and go to bed (It also stays on your face really well if you have other things to do). My face is much clearer, more hydrated with less visible pores and my overall skin texture is completely different. I would highly recommend this product.

Amid my weekly grocery shop I saw Garnier masks 1/2 price and couldn't resist picking a few up! The Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae is definitely a stand out piece - a gorgeous black sheet as opposed to the typical white, a fresh clean scent and a serum that is so light and hydrating! This mask instructs you to leave it on for 15 minutes - and this is definitely plenty of time to get hydrating results. While applied this sat on the face easily, with the perfect amount of serum that it wasn't too wet and didn't slide down easily. It felt cool and calming on the skin during application, and my skin felt hydrated and refreshed once taken off! My skin was GLOWING - will definitely repurchase!

I like to use sheet masks like this before bed, then let the residue sink in as I sleep. The tissue sheet is black, but the mask's liquid is thick & clear. (I envisioned black gunk getting everywhere & staining my pillowcase. Not so!) I detect a mild herby scent, but it's barely noticeable. I noticed a dramatic difference after using this mask just once. My oily, blemish-prone complexion looked clear & glowing; my pores especially seem to have vanished. By the next day, the improvements were not as obvious, but my skin still looked better than usual. REPURCHASE? Yes, definitely! Made in China. I picked this one because I was intrigued with the black mask but also because I am familiar with charcoal being great for oily skin and hyalauronic acid being great for dehydrated skin. The mask wasn't too thick or too thin and was very easy and comfortable to apply. It stayed on nicely and didn't budge. There was quite a lot of serum included in the sachet, so before put the mask on, I squeezed the excess serum onto the mask. I removed the mask after 30 mins and couldn't believe how bright my skin looked. I would definitely buy this again and recommend to anyone who wants brighter- looking skin.

I've always had big pores in my cheek, nose, and chin, so this mask is the one I'm most excited about from the 4 I was sent for review. I haven't heard much about algae, but I used an algae-containing toner for a few months with no side effect, so at least I know I'd have no reaction. Not unlike other Garnier masks, the packaging size for this sheet mask is relatively large, which can be cumbersome if you're used to storing your sheet mask in a pouch. The mask is a nice size for me, enough to cover the sides of my round face. Afterwards, my face did feel smoother and cleaner, with some reduction in pores visibility. As it contains Hyaluronic acid, the mask also provides help with skin hydration, which means you get 2 functions in one mask; unlike some charcoal masks that can leave your skin too dry as it draws out the impurities from the skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So rejuvenating I got to try the Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae, thanx to the Beauty Heaven team. The mask comes in a single pack. It was quite easy to remove the black mask sheet from the pack and I felt that it was quite thick in comparison to the other masks I have used. It was fully soaked in serum and fit my face very well. I used the remaining serum on my neck and décolletage. I also loved the light scent which lingered for a long time even after I removed the mask. The mask felt very cool on my skin. After keeping the mask for 15 mins, my skin felt fresh and looked rejuvenated. My pores looked refined though not a major difference. My skin felt well hydrated and plump too. I would definitely buy this mask again and fit it into my skin care routine.

I love how all you have to do is fold the satchel in 3rds squeeze the serum and it pops up into the mask area. Opened up the packet removed mask carefully and applied to my face, took a bit of rearraging of the mask as it didn't quite fit my face frame well. I love them smell, no overpowering chemical smell at all which made is an ease to breath with the mask on. The serum is rather soothing on the skin, leaving mask on for the estimated time frame of 15 minutes i removed the mask and deffinatly could feel a difference straight away, my skin feel cleansed clean and fresh. I rubbed the remaining serum into my face and neck leaving for another few minutes before wiping off with a face pad.

This mask has to be my favourite of them all. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. Apply to face and let the mask work it’s magic. I had no irritations or bad reactions from this mask. It was gentle on the skin and I could see the results as soon as I took it off! I felt so smooth and fresh! My skin looked like I had had a professional facial done without the harsh redness that I would normally get from a Salon treatment! I would love to add this mask to my regular beauty routine too keep my skin feeling rejuvenated. It’s an affordable way to have a facial done and all in the comfort of your own home!

After having it on for fifteen minutes, I could see that my pores on my nose and cheeks had shrunk and were much less visible. It also hydrated my face very well. It became more plump and soft. I had a few spots on my face when I used the face and on the morning after, there were less angry and red. The mask did a good job of calming them which I was very happy about. My pores were still smaller the morning after. I had not previously used a charcoal sheet mask but this has got me intrigued. I will definitely be repurchasing this mask as well as looking into other charcoal masks on the market. Thank you to BH and Garnier for letting me trial this mask!

I used the Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Alage as part of a trial team where we tried the whole range. This was the second one i tried, a week after one of the Hydra Bomb skeet masks. This one was lovely. The sheet was sturdy and there was so much serum in the packet! It smelt super nice. After 15 minutes, my skin felt so soft and super hydrated. I noticed that my pores looked a little bit smaller and i felt like my skin was fresh, as if it had truly drawn out the impurities. Big pores are a big insecurity of mine so i this is a mask I am really keen on adding to my routine when i'm feeling boujie. The best bit was, even though it wasn't a specifically hydrating mask, i still felt hydrated with my dry skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from loved the mask I had high expectations for this mask as I have visible pores on my skin. Loved the concept of mixing the serum into the sheet when you need to use it. Mixing both the things is quite easy if you follow the instructions properly. Just need to squeeze the serum side of the pouch to break open the inside seal and let the serum go into the sheet side to give it a nice mix. Gently open the pack to apply the mask on the face and relax. The mask actually is quite big and enough to cover all the areas on the face properly. The mask sat really well on my face and the sheet absorbed all the serum easily so no dripping. I found that the serum sank into my skin really well and gave me a nice glow and my skin felt really clean and smooth the next day and ofcourse the pores appeared almost invisible. Overall its a great product specially for holidays.

It went on easily and there was little to no mess so it is a fuss free product that can easily fit into the tightest of any schedules, we need to make time for our skin so we can feel refreshed and youthful. This product did just that! I was refreshed and my skin had a zing after I used it I could really tell the difference after using it and I know it was a deep down into the pores clean. It was simple yet effective, I will defiantly be adding this to my weekly beauty regime as I already use a mask weekly so a simple sheet over the face at the end of a long week leaves my skin refreshed and rejuvenated.

It was greatly appreciated. Attempting to remove this product from its packaging was a little bit difficult and then having to unfold it was also hard too as it would stick together. After applying it to my face it was cold and refreshing to the skin. After 15 minutes had passed I removed the tissue mask and I washed the excess residue off my face with water as there was a lot left over. My skin was a lot more hydrated and was feeling very refreshed. I would recommend this to anyone with dry/dehydrated skin and is in need of a quick, refreshing tissue mask of hydration. This tissue mask also gives a really pretty luminous glow to the skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poreless Skin Upon opening the Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask, there was a slight but pleasant scent which was very mild. The tissue mask which was black in colour due to the Charcoal was drenched in a thick layer of the serum which is always a good sign of a great mask. The mask had a cooling effect on the skin and was not at all irritating to my sensitive skin. After taking the mask off after 15 minutes, I felt that my skin was truly hydrated and dry areas of my skin, such as my cheeks, were left feeling soft and moisturised. While the immediate effects of the mask were amazing, after a few hours, my skin felt a little bit tight and I could feel that the moisturising effects were slowly wearing off. Nonetheless, this mask lived up to its claims of refining the pores, as after the use of the mask, there was a visible difference of how bright my skin looked and my pores seemed as though they had gotten smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favourite Mask! I absolutely loved this mask, from the scent to the way it felt and made my skin look! The mask itself comes in dark packaging and is large enough to fit most face shapes. The mask was a little big on my face but with a little bit of fiddling around I got it to sit on the face nicely so it didn't slip or slide around whilst I did other things. The mask had a fresh, clean scent similar to charcoal soaps but it was not overpowering. I left the mask on as directed and when I took the mask off my skin was glowing. My pores looked smaller and the dry patches on my skin had disappeared. My skin wasn't left feeling sticky and I was able to notice a clear difference in my skin as the serum absorbed really easily. Even the next day, my skin looked fresh like I just had a facial which I was really surprised with. Since there is so much serum remaining in the package, I think it is great value for money, as the remaining serum can be stored and used again. Overall, I'll definitely be repurchasing this mask and it will be a part of my regular skin routine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smoothing black algae sheet mask I was very excited to trial this mask, thanks to BH for including me in this trial! 23 years old, still breaking out, with a tonne of blackheads on my nose - did i forget i have dehydrated but oily skin and acne scarring? It’s no wonder im always on the lookout for skincare products that will help in all those departments, and most importantly - not irritate my sensitive red-ness prone skin. The Garnier Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae is interesting as it claims to purify, refine pores and refine skin texture whilst being hydrating. Its got Black Algae extract, LHA, and Hyaluroinc Acid to purify and refine pores. Products which claim to be purifying are typically rough on sensitive skin as they have charcoal and other drying ingredients which help purify skin and remove oils. However this is a sheet mask and my sensitive skin felt calmed when i wore this, so no aggravation at all from the Black Algae or Charcoal. After leaving this mask on 30 minutes, i smoothed the remaining serum into my face and neck, and immediately felt my skin was smoother, more hydrated and brighter. Whilst i didn’t feel like my skin was particularly purified, it certainly felt clean and soft.

It's not often I find a sheet mask for my skin concerns - oily, acne prone skin so when I was generously gifted one of these from the trial team I was super stoked and saved this one till last to try. The masks gives off a super cooling sensation which is especially nice on those hot sticky summer days. It was very gentle on my acne scarred skin and left it feeling smooth and soft. I sometimes worry that some sheet masks might hinder the treatment of my pimples but it's good to know there are ones out there formulated specially for my skin. The back of the packet also suggest these go well with the Garnier Skin Active 3 in 1 cleansers which are part of my daily routine so I think I might even purchase a few to add to my weekly routine. Also, I found the mask to be a little on the big side, I guess that's how (Garnier like to make their masks better too big than small) but not that a little overlap will do any harm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hydrating, refreshing and no more pores This mask is full of active charcoal which is great for clogged pores and another super ingredient i've never heard of before called black algae so I was very keen to see how the two worked together to leave skin hydrating and my pores less noticeable. I was a bit dubious at first, reduced pores, as if, I find products that say that are just a big gimick to get the buyer sucked in but in I went. The mask has no noticeable scent and doesn't drip when pulled out of the package like many others. At first I did notice a bit of a sting around my nose and chin, that disappeared very quick. When I took the mask off after the recommended 15 minutes I noticed my pores were more refined and my skin had a lovely glow, like all impurities were drawn out. It's no miracle treatment, I can still see my pores but it's an improvement.

It is easy to apply onto the face and stays in place. This mask helps to clear up the skin. I noticed a visible difference in the appearance of my skin from using this mask. After using this sheet mask my skin felt nice and smooth. The mask completely hydrated my skin. I found that it worked really well on my skin and would recommend if for people who want to improve their complexion. I liked that there was no mess using this sheet mask and that it was so convenient to leave on my face for a few minutes in the evening. This mask is a really good price so perfect as a treat or even as part of a gift for someone who enjoys using sheet masks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderfully hydrating! The Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae looked fantastic; the packaging instantly intrigued & captivated me. It was so easy to apply, I left on for 15 minutes and afterwards my skin felt hydrated, moisturised and pampered. Before applying the mask my skin was very dull & dry but the benefits of this lasted a long time after using it. The mask itself is black and instantly when put onto the skin felt refreshing and luxurious, was amazing. I have very sensitive skin and was a little concerned at first but I am now so confident in this product and the effectiveness it provides. The texture of my skin was much smoother after and there was a naturally beautiful, radiant glow. Upon removing the mask I massaged the excess formula into skin; I would happily use again and recommend to others, I can't wait to purchase for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean, clear, matte and pores disappeared I was looking forward to trialing this mask. My skin is oily, i have noticeable blackheads and pores so I an forever trying to keep my skin under control. The product was easy to prepare and apply, same as the other masks. The scent was refreshing and 'clean' smelling. I kept the mask on for the recommended 15 minutes and when I removed the mask my face felt smoother and pores were less obvious. My skin also had a glow to it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected....Skin feels great I didn't know what to expect with the Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae when i got sent it to trial but i am pleased to say i was pleasantly surprised with the results. To start the packaging was bright and informative and gave very clear directions as to how to use the mask. The packaging states to leave the mask on for 15 mins. Usually when i leave masks on for this long they start to slip off and my face becomes all slimey. Not with the Skin Active Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae. throughout the 15 mins my skin felt fresh and that it was being nourished. After the allotted time i took the mask off and massaged in the leftover product from the mask. When i woke up in the morning i was amazed how fresh and plump my skin felt and look , after just one application. I definitely saw a difference and would use the mask again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from loved this! i really love all of the original garnier face masks so when they came out with the charcoal ones, i was so excited to try them. this mask made my skin feel so refreshed, soft, hydrated and my pores were so much smaller! i love how generous garnier is with serum in their masks! and this one adsorbed so much quicker than other face masks i’ve used and my skin still feels hydrated the next evening! it hasn’t irritated or broken out my skin which is a big plus for me, i will definitely be repurchasing this one!

The product was extremely enjoyable to use and it did not feel intense or irritating to my skin. The mask was easy to apply to the skin and felt cooling against my skin. I loved the moisture that my skin got from this mask. The mask feels really nice on and is simply to remove. I massaged the excess mask liquid into my skin once I removed the mask.\nThe mask left my skin looking fresh and bright. The size of my pores were not reduced and I found the mask to bring breakouts to the surface. I would not recommend the day before an event or on the event as the mask brought the toxins and blemishes to the surface of my skin.\nMy pores were not reduced in size however my skin was refreshed and hydrated. I would definitely buy this mask again but I would not use right before a big event.\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I'm a fan of this sheet mask range, so when they released new charcoal types, I was all for it. First I tried the other one, the black tea mask. It broke me out which was a huge disappointment. I was nervous to try this one as I didn't want to get the same results. I was worried for nothing, because this mask is absolutely amazing. It's so hydrating, it gives my skin what it needs to look fresh and beautiful. My redness is gone, and it didn't break me out. Would definitely repurchase!
