General Information

Kativa Straightening Without Iron With Technology NICTECH.

At-home no-iron straightening treatment. Free of formaldehyde and guanidine, thanks to the mechanism of its exclusive technology NICTECH (No-Iron hair Control Technology), it straightens hair fast and with a professional result, for about 4 weeks.

Directions

1. Divide recently washed and shampooed, unconditioned, completely dry and untangled hair into 2 parts. Using the plastic gloves, apply the Straightening Mask (A) lock by lock to one part, leaving 1-2cm from the root. Distribute the mask evenly and continue with the other part until the hair is covered completely.

2. Leave the product on for 15 minutes. After, with a thin comb, only remove the excess mask to make the drying process easier.

3. Use a hairdryer at its highest temperature with a concentrator nozzle and a flat brush to dry the hair in a downward direction, lock by lock, and straighten until it is completely dry and straight. Important: A better drying session guarantees an optimal outcome.

4. Wash hair with the Post-Straightening SHampoo (B) 2 to 3 times, to remove the mask residue completely. Rinse with water and apply the Post-Straightening Conditioner (C). Leave it on for 3 minutes and rinse.

5. Dry hair naturally or with a hair dryer. Do not forget this product has a memory effect which is activated with the hairdryer, allowing a better straightening result.

USAGE ADVICE

1. This product may cause a variation of colour in colour-treated hair. It is recommended to do the straightening treatment prior to the next colour treatment.

2. In case you dye your hair after, remove all of the mask residue with the shampoo and do not use the conditioner. The colour treatment process can be affected if the hair is not properly and thoroughly washed in order to remove any straightening mask residue.

3. Do not apply the mask on the scalp.

It’s been more than a month now and still great. For that price it’s worth putting in the time and effort to apply it properly. It’s not difficult to do at all and smells quite nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic It’s time consuming but my hair is now silky soft and more straight with a lot less frizz. I used one box and it was enough for my waist length hair. Was hard brushing and blow drying with the product in, but also flat ironed it 5-6 times. 2-3 hours to do by myself. Recommend using sulphate free shampoo at start. There is a slight chemical smell post wash but i used sulphate free pantene nutrient blend in the yellow color which smelled like citrus after post wash and has reduced that weird smell :) . Will be buying more if i can be motivated to put in the arm work :’)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Salon Quality - tamed my frizz! The El Nina weather over Summer did no favours for my frizz and I over did it on the heat styling in an attempt to tame it. I came across the Kativa kit after reading online reviews and decided to try it myself - IMPRESSIVE. For reference my hair is balayage with blonde ends and fine to medium texture, mostly straight but a few kinks/cowlicks around my face which I normally straighten. I stuck to the instructions 100% and the results are amazing - zero frizz, my irritating cowlick is gone (meaning I can now wear a centre part!!!) and my hair feels silky smooth. A few key takeaways - it is a loooong process. Very long. Especially when blowdrying after applying the straightening mask itself. My arms got a reeeal workout. The smell? Didn’t phase me, nowhere near as “chemically” as what some people have said. Smelt no more offensive than an at-home dye kit. I did this in my bathroom with the window open and afterward there was no lingering scent in the room or my hair. The wash off process - this was the only part I felt uncertain over. I washed my hair three times and applied the conditioner as stated, but when I rinsed it off my hair didn’t feel particularly soft…no need to worry though, some type of keratin wizardry occurred when I blow dried it - it has never been softer! After the blow dry there is no need to reach for my straightener. The day after I completed the process we had another rainy, humid day, and my hair was perfect the entire time. I couldn’t reccomend this product more, will absolutely be repurchasing!

Have used a few times now and it really does leave my hair straighter and frizz free for about 6-8 weeks. Treatment process isn't exactly quick but i think worth it for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer My hair is curly, frizzy and big. This product worked wonders on my hair. The frizz is very tame, a faster blowdry but I still have some volume which is ideal. I buy many many expensive products and they do well. But don't keep my hair controlled in bad weather or over night. I woke up after the first night with manageable hair. There are some bad reviews but I think It depends on your hair to begin with. Mine is a lion's main. So the improvement was definitely noticeable.

I am a person who gets my hair straightened once in 6 months and with the Keune hair straightening product each time I have to repeat it after 3 days for the proper straight look. What made me so surprised and very impressed is how did my very stubborn hair appear dead straight and shiny in just under 2 hours. Usually the salon hair straightening process with the chemical takes about 7 hours and this was such an easy job without any professional hands. I did follow all the instructions given and instead of just blow drying I did a thorough iron after the blow dry too and washed off. I’m really in love with the product will definitely recommend it, because I really have very thick frizzy hair and if it has done such a miracle for me it would do wonders for wavy hair. I did worry a lot regarding the reviews as most reviewers had mentioned about the offensive smell, but it’s not so bad at all for me and I’ve actually asked few people to smell my hair and no one has said it smells bad. If you are looking for straight shiny hair, go for it. It has saved 500 $ for me and spent only 17$ which I purchased when on special.

I cannot blow dry my hair without it turning into an actual trolls head but with this product it leaves my hair sooooo straight and silky!! Deffs will buy again! Any weather (rain, wind, humidity) used to immediately undo my hairstyle. This stuff keeps my hair straight, frizz free and only needs a rough blowdry - no more damaging heat styling! My hair used to clog up the drain every time I washed it but I barely lose a strand now, so for me it's a godsend. I've had professional permanent hair straightening a few times but none of them have given these amazing results. Truly life changing for me and my hair!

Takes a bit of elbow work if you’ve got thick hair but hair is left smooth straight and shiny. Wash it out well or else yes your hair will smell of the product but only till next wash. Love this and for less than $30.00 it’s been a life saver for me. I use it inbetween professional hair straightening . I have Thick corse frizz and this just makes me look ‘ normal’ !

It does not damage your hair and leaves it silky and shiny. Great value for money and I got 2 treatments out of this kit. $12.50 per treatment against $150+ in salons. It's really easy to use as well. I'll definitely be buying again. Will save me $'00s throughout the year

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me $$$ Saves me $$$. I don’t have to go to salon now to get my hair straightened. The first time i used it, i did put too much so I had trouble blowdrying it. But my next application, was just enough and it was easier to blow dry and i got even better results. My hair is really long and thick and costs me $250 now its just $24 winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me. I'll use again. Didn't follow directions exactly. Had washed and condtioned my hair days before. Just applied mask. Until full contents of bottle was applied. Probably could have gotten away with using half the product. Combed it all through with wide tooth comb. To straighten. Took about 20mins to comb it through my hair. Blow dried it after 15mins. Just with the wide tooth comb and my fingers. Until crispy. Washed it out with supplied shampoo and conditioner. Ended up washing a few more times as it did leave too much product in. Next time I'll use less product. Just on the ends. (Dealing with half perm half straight hair). After 5 days it's still straight. I just brush it daily now. (Couldn't do that with a perm ends). Didn't alter my hair colour. Would use again. Not as good as ghd straightening. More conventional and cost effective than a salon visit.

I did wash my hair with normal shampoo before starting make sure you don't use conditioner. I kept product on for an additional 10 minutes before drying using hottest setting of the hair-dryer and then I used the hair straightener to ensure my curls were gone. Use the after care products provided as it has a heat memory. My hair is soft shiny and straight. Great product and it does not smell like some people claim.
