General Information

The Dura-Comfort 'no boil' dental night guard has been developed to help prevent TMJD and protect teeth from clenching and grinding. The design has two bite pads that comfortably fit between upper and lower molars to re-establish the natural freeway space featuring self-adjusting technology to fit all shapes and sizes of regular to large mouths.

Warnings

The Australian Dental Association recommends toothbrushing should be done twice per day. It should be done in the morning and again at night for two minutes each time. Brushing your teeth at night should be the last thing you do before bed, with no food or drink after brushing. Brushing for two minutes means brushing the teeth in each section of the mouth for approximately 30 seconds.

My dentist indicated that I need one at a cost of $500. This product does the job and does it cheaply. I don't use it every night only when my jaw joint starts to ache. This product supports the jawline and reduces the impact of teeth clenching/grinding whilst asleep.

I never realized I was grinding/clenching my teeth in my sleep. Since I suing it, I haven’t woken up with a headache/migraine and my jaw soreness has decreased dramatically. It took a week or so to get used to, but works well. I couldn’t afford the $450 guard the dentist recommended. So this is perfect in the meantime.

Does result in less damage to teeth and less jaw pain but doesn't stop the grinding action of the jaw. I am finding it a little more uncomfortable now that it has stretched and looser across the front strap, which prevents me from closing my lips fully. Although I think it defintely helps.

One swears by it, and the other two are still getting used to it and are somewhat undecided. The design is a very different approach to the problem and worth trying. I think it takes getting used to.
