I received a vibrant purple shade, which was an exact colour match to canister packaging. The applicator was fantastic - easy to apply, smooth & a great shape especially for the top lip. My favourite aspect of the product was how you could control the amount of vibrancy. For a more subtle, casual look, I only popped a little in the middle of my lip & blended it with my finger. It lasted for hours and I didn’t get that drying sensation in the corners of my bottom lip like I usually get with lots of Matte lipsticks. I’m definitely keen on buying more shades!!

I tried shade 35 Creator, I have never been brave enough to wear a purple colour but I absolutely love this shade. The applicator was easy to use and pointed at the tip so you could get into the corners. It smells deliciously amazing like a vanilla dessert and boy does it last! Through food, drink and only comes off slightly with forcible wiping. To properly remove you definitely need an oil base makeup remover, otherwise it stubbornly stays on your lips. I really enjoyed the shade, application and long lasting wear and will be looking for other shades in the future.

It is a lovely soft pink which I could wear day and night. \n\nThe application was super easy. The applicator was the perfect shape to coat my lips effortlessly and the pointed tip made it really easy to apply product right to the edge of my lips first go. It's definitely a matte finish but comfortable. It took about 30 seconds to dry and I only needed the one coat. \n\nThis lip stick has some serious staying power. I got a few good hours without any budging which is a first for me.\n\nAll in all a fantastic quality product from Maybelline and i can't wait to try the other shades.\n

The long lasting pigment was fabulous, only having to lightly touch up every so often, and went from day to night like a dream. \n\nApplication was smooth and easy with the wand. I did feel it was a little dry at times, but fixed that with a nice clear balm which helped give a little shine and last a little longer. If wanting the matte finish I used a balm without shine. When reapplying, this wasn't hard. I only used a light coating as the pigment lasts forever! Removing the was easy with a make up wipe and then my cleaner. \n\nI would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a long wearing and lasting bright, fun pop of colour. Really adds to the Monday to Friday office attire! \n

The applicator is tapered at the end, making it easy to go over the lips without necessarily lining them first. I was given 45 Escapist, which is a dark purple, and one that I can see myself wearing a lot of during the cooler months, The formula is seriously interesting - this goes over the lips really easily, and then it stays, stays, stays! This stuff is amazing!\n\nThis is really pigmented, and I liked that I didn't get any feathering or bleeding of the colour around the edges of my lips. I ate, drank and partied with this, and I didn't get any transfer - just awesome! What I especially liked about this was that this didn't dry my lips out any further than I thought it would - a definite bonus! So, so good! I'm looking forward to trying the other shades!\n

With a large variety of colours to choose from, you can easily find one that suits your personality.\nThe price is very affordable considering you are getting quality. The lipstick is long lasting and won't dry on the lips too quick that you haven't time to correct. The application wand has a soft point shape, I found that helped me get the outline of my lips correct the first time.\nIf you are seaching for a long lasting matte lipstick thats affordable, with a variety of colours, easy to apply and correct and highly pigmentated. Then look no further, this product will truly live up to your expectations\n

I tried the shade Voyager and boy is this long lasting!\n\nThe formula was relatively easy to apply with the wand being an excellent shape to disperse product. I do have to admit, i wish it held a bit more of the formula on the tip of the brush (enough to line the lips) as the brush seemed to "run out" first. It does have great pigmentation however and really is a "true to bottle" colour.\n\nOnce you have the lip shade on (precise application is key) be prepared for it not to move! I ate a variety of oily foods (think even fast food) during the day and this did not budge from 8am-11pm (with no reapplication necessary!) It does have a bit of a "stickiness" when you press your lips together - but its not the kind that makes your hair stick to your lips. My recommendation would be to definitely let it "dry" for about 30 seconds - you'll then have budge proof lips for the rest of the day. \n\nI would definitely recommend this to any lipstick junkie - or really, anyone! As someone who forget to reapply - this was a dream.\n\nMy hint to remove: invest in some vaseline and put a decent amount on your lips - let it sit for 10 seconds and wipe off with a cotton pad. Easy!\n

I have a passion for matte lipsticks and it is hard to find one that doesn’t come off easy I had to use make up remover 2 or 3 times to take it off and I didn’t look at the mirror after doing it and went to sleep with half of my lips with the lipstick on, so I can’t complain about how good that is The colour looks exactly the same as the package and the wand makes it easy to apply. Just make sure you have time to apply it, it’s not a product to apply in a rush as it dries pretty quick and it is hard to clean it if you make a mistake, you may need more than one coat to have the perfect colour but once you get it it looks amazing.

The Maybeline Matte Ink lipstick has to be #1 for the drugstore long lasting lipstick. The wand was great to use for applying onto my lips and I thought this lipstick is a lot more moisturising than other ink lipsticks I have tried. The downfall on the packaging would be how to remove the ink. I had to google the answer which is coconut oil! Loved this product!

I got the colour lover and it is hands down the best matte lipstick i've ever tried. The applicator makes it very easy to use and you do work quickly to make sure you get the coverage needed because it dries quickly. this colour was perfect for work, not too out there but some good colour. It did not leave my lips dried out at all. I was incredibly impressed. You can eat, drink, do whatever with this lipstick and it will not come off. After a few hours and lunch, it did fade a bit but that was the extent. When they say this is long lasting, they really mean. I have never tried a product that has as much staying power as this. There is literally nothing that willt ake this off except for proper makeup remover. which is fantastic if thats the staying power you need. I absolutey would recommend this product to everyone and anyone. it is amazing!

The shade I was lucky enough to trial was Pioneer and I simply loved the staying power and gorgeous smell of this product! The packaging was nice and sturdy and I found the applicator wand to be quite easy to use and precise to minimise those mistakes when during application! The lipstick also dries down quickly and once it has it stays put all night long even while eating and drinking! I can barely get it off with Micellar Water at the end of the night! I loved this lipstick so much I've been keeping an eye out at the shops to buy other colours but I am yet to see it in store... fingers crossed it'll appear soon so I can stock up!

I can work an 8 hour day and only have to replace it after lunch. I got the lover colour and it is a great natural colour for me. It is easy peasy to apply. The only problem I found was that immediately after putting it on my lips were sticky for a little while. It is definitely the best matte finish lip product out there I've used as unlike others I've used it doesn't dry out my lips much. I am going to invest in as many colours that suit me as soon as it hits the shelves near me.

I find that most matte lipsticks are quite drying which makes me not want to use them. I continue to go back and use this one. It smells nice too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Niamh F. from I trialed 'Creator' (shade 35) for the last week. I prefer bright colors over nudes so had the perfect shade for an extra pop. I was surprisingly impressed with this product. I have tried other matte lippies and not been impressed. I found it easy to apply and easy to wear. One of the first things I noticed when opening the product was it had a really nice smell! I didn't need much product to cover my lips and found it was very pigmented. Less is definitely more with this product as I found that when I applied too much it became really sticky. I was able to pat my lips with a tissue to get rid of the stickiness but I noticed that I didn't actually need the excess product. One thing I wasn't a fan of is that it was quite difficult to get off. This is definitely a long-wearing lippy.

This one was super easy to apply, had great pigment and long lasting. i used a lip liner to line my lips then put it straight on it glided on nicely and did dry super matte and dry it had a nice finish. it didnt have an overly overpowering scent to which i like in a lipstick. It passed both the eating and drinking test with minimal need to reapply after which usually occurs with an lipstick. I re applied once throughout the night but i probably did not need to it was more because i am so used to have to top up my lipstick i almost do it by habit now. It was a little tough to get off, didnt come off with just a make up wipe needed some additional make up remover but overall very happy i would recommend.

I went for the purple No 35, which ended up being the perfect shade - bright and vibrant but not neon, very fun but still classy. I love the applicator, it's perfect to define your lips. I did find that I needed to air-dry the lippy before it stopped being slightly sticky - but then there was no smearing or fading, just a perfect matte shade. The formula is not drying at all, and really stays in place. To remove it, I rubbed coconut oil into my lips, wiped them with a makeup pad and then took the rest of my makeup off as usual. A fantastic product and I will definitely buy again.

Sweet and Vanilla-y... \n\nI found the applicator easy to use... Simply unscrew the lid and apply to lips... The consistency of the ink was really thick and vibrant... I found that a little of it went a really long way... I really adored the shade too... Bright Red and Bold... I found the overall coverage to be really great and no clumps or varied coverage... I liked that is was a matte finish too rather than gloss as it made the colour seem brighter... Also, not staining on my teeth, which was really great!!!\n\nI liked that it didn't make my lips feel sticky or dry... It was just the right consistency, so no tissue test needed...\n\nI did find that it didn't last after food and drinks and I did have to re-apply it each time... I also felt that for the price it was a little over priced...I feel it would be great for going out if you didn't have to eat or drink and just wanted to add a nice pop of colour to an overall look...\n\nI would recommend this...\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Natasha C. from Got me back into the Liquid Lip again! I'm not usually a huge lover of the liquid lip but this product is the one that got me back into liking them again! I have purchased such beautiful shades (amazonian and seductress) and fell in love with how they looked on the lips instantly and with how long wearing and non-drying they were. With this product, I got around 5 hours of good wear throughout my workday and it didn't flake off as so many of these types of products tend to do. Instead, it wore off nice and evenly and didn't become a sticky mess either. The application was also made so easy with this product! You can easily fill in and line your lips with the pointed-tip applicator. The lip product once dried properly barely transfers. Shade range is also amazing with so many nudes, neutrals, and other fun shades to choose from. The only issue I have with the product is how tacky it can become if you don't let it dry fully after application and go straight to pressing the lips together... But even then, it is still way more tolerable than having an extremely drying and flaky formula (sorry NYX Lip lingerie). The tackiness also helps with locking in moisture and with the wear quality, making it really 'stick' onto the lips. Make sure you also have a good makeup remover for this! They are also natural looking on the lips and can be worn to work and while doing other daily activities. Will continue to purchase.

However, it is a bit dry and make your lip wrinkles obvious. If you put lip balm before using it, the color can not stay long. it is not super super stay for the whole day, but it is already good enough for hours. very good product for office ladies if you can go to the makeup room after lunch for a bit make up.

The tube is the shade of the lipstick and it comes complete with a contrasting glossy white lid. The Matte Ink has a creamy consistency and smells so delicious, having a gourmand vanilla frosting scent.\nThe applicator of this lipstick is a sponge one, but it has a unique shape. The tip is shaped like a tear drop with a tiny well in the center. The pointed end and edges of the sponge are great for precise application, whereas a little extra product is able to be collected in the middle where you want the most amount of lipstick for the lips. The clever design means less dipping back into the tube.\nI received the shade Pioneer, a gorgeous true red shade which is a colour I have been loving. The formula goes onto the lips smoothly. One layer gives me an opaque lipstick application without streaks or patchiness.\nNot long after application the Matte Ink feels quite sticky on the lips as it is drying down. So my initial thought was "oh no, I don't like this". However, after around 30 or so minutes when the lipstick finally sets, my lips only felt slightly tacky. The lipstick at this stage is completely transfer proof.\nI got an impressive 7 hours wear before I washed my makeup off and the lipstick was still going strong, being tested during eating, drinking and even a cheeky little kiss with hubby.\nNot only do I love the shade Pioneer, but also really like the formula of the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick, easily the best drugstore liquid lipstick I have tried. I found that it lasted throughout wear without need for touch-ups and was comfortable on my lips. The Matte Ink is a win for me!\n

I have the colour 'lover' which is a beautiful dark pink colour. I like the sponge tip applicator as it makes it easy to apply the colour. The only downside for me is that I found it to be a bit drying on my lips. If you have already dry lips it does make it more pronounced when this product is applied on top.

This matte liquid lip colour hydrates my lips and don't dry my lips out. The colour is true to the tube and doesn't fade away and lasts a few hours for me. Usually I wear a lip balm under matte liquid lip colours, but for this product, I don't need to use one. It goes on almost creamy and doesn't streak on my lips. \n\nPros:\nLow priced\nGood good coverage\n\nCons:\nWill need touch up after some hours\n\nRecommendation:\nThis liquid lip colour gives good colour intensity to my lips wihtout making my lips feel dry. \n
