If you find you’re leaking breast milk from one breast as your baby feeds from the other, Medela milk collection shells can save this excess milk while you breastfeed.

They feature a built-in spout so that you can easily empty the breast milk that has collected in them and is designed to be worn discreetly. The soft silicone backs make them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. So great instead of losing all the milk into the breast pads you catch it in these cups and then pour into a bottle or storage bag from the spout to store in the fridge or freezer. So easy to build up a supply for when you need to go anywhere and leave baby with someone. I hated losing my liquid gold into breast pads so I love that I can collect it all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love these, I use them for each feeds as I leak badly, one I finish one side I tip it into a bottle and collect it over a day and by that night I have enough for a top up feed, only downside is the opening up the top and they are hard to take out when they are full.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from must have for breastfeeding/expressing I wish I knew about these earlier! no more wasting milk. so easy and comfortable - I’ve tried various disposable nursing pads and found them all quite uncomfortable. so I just relied on the removable padding of my nursing bras to absorb any letdown while breastfeeding, sometimes up to 20mL. and I know I’m doing some good for the environment as well :)

They work great for that, as they collect the milk and the little spout makes it easy to pour the milk out. As others have mentioned the little spout does mean the milk will spill out if you bend over. I did find them mildly uncomfortable and I wouldn't wear them for more than just pumping or feeding because of that.

I was shocked to find they would fill up so it would be excellent if they held more! Because they filled I did find I would spill milk removing them. I wouldn’t recommend using these to remain in the bra in place of a breast pad they are not comfortable enough but they will save you some dollars by not soaking as many pads with your letdown

I use them almost everyday during the morning feed. I collected heaps of milk because of these. I avoided wasting so much breastmilk. I also wear them sometimes during overnight but I always end up spilling the collected milk and I wake up with wet clothes.

Took a bit of getting used to as I’d often forget I was wearing (can wear for up to 4 hours) and would lean down to pick up Bub and spill all I’d collected, but was good if I remembered I was wearing. Bit Bulky and can tell you’re wearing however.

They are really simple to clean and put together. Just got make sure you put the opening for pouring the milk out at the top, otherwise you’re going to get some leaking. All and all they are very helpful, definitely recommend for the morning let down.

I loved how discreet these are and how easily they can be washed and reused as well. I would highly recommend them to any new breastfeeding mums.
