Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydrating an calming, plumping serum. As someone who has normal - dry and sometimes sensitive skin, I really loved this product. My skin becomes parched and dry easily, especially around my cheeks and I found that using this serum after cleansing and before moisturiser really helped my skin in retaining moisture. I love that this product is fragrance free too, I didn't experience and sensitivity or redness when using this product. The serum itself is clear, odorless and slightly viscous, but not too thick. It spreads really easily and is light weight. It is not oily at all. It calms down any redness and fills in fine lines too. I like applying it on slightly damp skin, I feel like it works better that way. It comes in a white sturdy bottle with a pump and cap. It doesn't disperse too much product, and it's easy to control. I noticed my skin felt more smooth and non-greasy after the first use, and after using it for a few weeks, my skin is soft and hydrated. I haven't noticed any sensitivities. I think it has helped in calming down my skin and making it feel plump. It also works well (when used with a moisturiser) under make makeup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for dry skin I was intrigued by this serum when I received it as I noticed that it has one of my favourite ingredients in it: Hyaluronic Acid. As someone with dry skin I find that serums with this ingredient really help my skin retain moisture and give it a lovely glowing look. I was curious to see how this product would compare to similar (more expensive) serums I’ve tried and loved in the past. I have to say that I’m quite impressed! I honestly can’t tell the difference between this serum and other more expensive ones. I still get that same glowing look and my skin is retaining its moisture. I’ll definitely be purchasing this one again! The serum comes in a 30ml tube with a pump. The serum is clear and odourless and I find a pea sized amount enough to cover my face and next (with just a smidgen more for the décolletage). It smooths onto the skin easily and absorbs quite quickly so you can follow up straight away with your moisturiser over the top. The only nitpick I have is that it’s impossible to tell how much of the product is left as the tube is completely opaque and the pump can’t be unscrewed to take a peek inside. It’s just a small complaint and in no way takes away from how much I enjoyed this serum and will most likely repurchase when this one runs out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gentle and moisturising I was so excited when I found out that Dermaveen had released a facial serum, and was so keen to try it! The Dermaveen Skin Renewal Facial Serum is described as a serum "formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal to nourish and restore dry and sensitive skin and absorbs to deeply nourish and renew dull and dehydrated skin, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles". This serum sounded perfect for my dry, dehydrated skin! Encased in an easy to use plastic pump, the Dermaveen Skin Renewal Facial Serum is very convenient to use and is travel friendly. As like all Dermaveen products, it is fragrance free, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin. The serum is oil free, however I was surprised at that it didn't feel overly watery like many other serums I had tried before- but this one felt more oily! This was not an issue at all for me as my skin is on the dryer side. The serum absorbed easily into my skin and provided it with ample moisture. My face felt moisturised and supple, however it is still early days to say if it has done anything to my fine lines. I was pleasantly surprised with this serum, and at its price point, is a great buy. It is easy to use, gentle on the skin and injects moisture into the skin. Great for those who haven't dabbled in the world of serums yet- you won't go wrong with this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not leave a sticky sensation on the skin I received the Dermaveen Skin Renewal Facial Serum as part of the trial team. The product comes in a white plastic bottle with a pump. The pump is very easy to use but the non-transparent plastic bottle makes it hard to determine how much product is left. The product itself is a clear gel, free of fragrance and dye. Each pump produces a pea-size amount of gel which can be applied all over the face. The gel is easily absorbed and leaves the skin feels hydrated. I have used several type of facial serum containing hyaluronic acid before and a lot of them leaves a sticky sensation of the skin. I am very pleased to say that this Dermaveen skin renewal facial serum does not do that. I honestly feel that this product hydrates my skin and is very soothing. I will recommend it for those with sensitive skin types. And for those who doesn't like the sticky sensation of hyaluronic acid products, this is a great serum to try,

I'm left thinkng of all those wasted years that I didn't know about these magic formulas. After cleansing use a small pump or two of the skin renewal Dermaveen Facial Serum to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Absorbs easily to deeply nourishing and renew dull and dehydrated skin. Free of fragrances, parobens, lanolin and artificial.dyes and colours. A small amount goes a long way so wipe over your face and your neck area. It's dermatologically tested and suited for all skin types thankfully as I have trouble finding safe products for my face area especially. Safe enough to use both morning and night and works best in conjunction with both the Dermaveen Cleanser and moisturiser for the best results. My skin has improved and looks heaps younger in only a few days use

It seems these days that every skin expert tells you that you should use a serum to nourish your skin, But so often, my skin reacts badly to serums. I'm a normal/combination type, but the vast majority of serums that I have tried seem to sit on my skin and leave an oily residue. This can lead to break outs, and often makes my face look like an oil slick when I try to apply makeup on top of the serum. The Dermaveen Skin Renewal Facial Serum is so different. The product itself is clear and unscented. A pea sized amount covers the face easily. But best of all, it sinks completely into the skin and leaves no oily residue. My skin lapped up every drop! And my makeup sat perfectly on top. After a short time using the serum, I noticed my face looked plump with fine lines minimised. This serum has helped my skin look younger, happier and healthier!

Oatmeal being one of the ingredients, could well be the reason. I am very glad that Chemist Warehouse still carry this excellent product. I had no luck finding it anywhere around the area where I live.

I find Dermaveen make excellent products for my skin and the serum is a great daily use one for me. It holds in the moisture and absorbs easily so I am able to apply my usual moisturiser and makeup without any problems.The serum has a nice little pump which means I do not waste any product.The price is reasonable so I have no conflict with repurchasing.I am past the age of expecting miracles in skin care but my skin feels good to me using this serum.

It made my skin feel so soft and smooth. My mum is also trying it now too. She couldn’t believe how it felt on her face. The only thing is I wish it was a bigger tube like 125mls or 150mls for the price. I have purchased this product due to having dry and extremely sensitive skin and just LOVE IT. I have no reactions to the moisturiser and it keeps my skin well hydrated all day long. Will continue to buy again and again

It is very moisturizing, however doesn't seem to do a great job at firming. I would recommend this serum if you are not after a super lifting effect but just want that extra moisture boost during colder months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, No Nonsense Serum That Lives Up to Its Claims The Dermaveen serum comes packaged in a cylinder plastic 30ml bottle with a pump lid dispenser (my favorite kind! ) Two pumps is enough to cover the entire face and neck adequately. The serum is a clear gel like textire with a very mild and natural scent which seems to be the Dermaveen aroma as it is similar to the body products,facial wash and moisturiser I have also used from this fantastic brand. The serum absorbs instantly and leaves no sticky residue. Just smooth and plumper feeling skin,the perfect base for the Dermaveen Hydrating Moisturiser. My skin is super sensitive and this serum was gentle enough for me to use twice a day with no skin irritation or break outs. I found it great at diminishing fine lines and leaving skin more supple and soft. A great no fuss serum at a fantastic price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hydration in a bottle This was a surprise because my go-to serum is Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair. I used this product on and off, sometimes even using it under a sheet mask for an indulgent and intensive hydration session. For the duration of the trial, my skin looked hydrated and plump even though I had spent relatively long periods in air conditioning which usually wrecks my skin. I can attribute the results to me using this serum in conjunction with the Dermaveen hydrating moisturiser. I think with longer term use, I can realistically expect even better and improved results. Pros: sleek pump bottle, endless hydration for the duration of wear, non greasy feel, light silky texture, worked well as a base below moisturiser, gentle yet clinically proven formulation, non irritating, affordable, low scent Cons: none I recommend this product to people of all skin types, those who are looking for an extra boost of hydration without the associated greasiness and heavy feeling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight & Absorbs The serum is really lightweight and applies smoothly & well. I really like how quickly my face absorbed the product too, with little wait time. This meant that I was able to apply the serum before my make up, which I can't do with many products, as it can alter the colour of my foundations, or it can make my face too oily that the make up won't stay. The bottle is small enough to be taken everywhere but I do think the packaging looks a little dated & could deter people my age demo, from considering to purchase in store. I haven't noticed any reduction in fine lines or wrinkles but my face does feel smooth over all. I would also like the serum to have a smell, something nourishing should smell like a spa/fruity or an enjoyable fragrance that feels like a treat for the face, I think this would make the product much better.

This offers a light weight and moisturising solution to keeping the skin hydrated without any heavy products. I often find serums can leave the skin feeling oily; however this product sunk into my skin and did exactly as expected. There is no scent, which is nice for a serum. I would highly recommend anyone who needs something simple, clean and fresh to adopt this product into their skin care regime. Two pumps goes a long way and I applied it before bed, before make up and whenever my skin felt it needed some moisture. The packaging is nice and compact and easy to use. I especially found this product to be great for every day use. I would recommend this for all skin types, both oily and combination.

It gave me a more hydrated look, and was great under make-up too. Something about it feels very ‘no nonsense’ and I really like that as well. It went on smoothly, absorbed easily, and did what I would expect of a serum: hydrated, evened and basically made a great starting point for the rest of my skin and make up routine. The product is also neatly packaged, in an easy to use pump that only requires one handed operation which is more than I can say for many other serums! It has virtually no scent, or at least a very neutral one. I would recommend this product if you have dry or dehydrated skin and you are looking for a great baseline serum to give you skin a plump, moisturised look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tacky at First but Sinks Into the Skin Eventually Thanks BH for the opportunity to trial this product! My skin type is dry, sensitive skin that is prone to redness. Firstly, the product comes in a pump bottle, I prefer this type of packaging as it limits the number of bacteria entering the remaining product. I found one pump dispensed enough product to cover my face. The packaging is a white tube with a nice little stamp showing it is cruelty-free! The product is mainly clear and a little milky, when applied to the face I found it took longer to sink into the skin and had a sticky cast over the face. It does sink into the skin, however the face still felt a little tacky, even with the moisturiser on top. Personally, it took a minute or two to fully sink into my skin (it is warm where I live currently, not sure if that impacts it?). The smell to me is quite neutral, and a little sweet smelling which could be the oats. The biggest change to my skin was that it felt more hydrated, less dry patches and my skin looked glowing - especially under CC cream. I used this product in conjunction with the Dermaveen Hydrating Facial Moisturiser and Dermaveen Daily Nourish Facial Foaming Cleanser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lovely boosting serum for all skin I'm not the biggest serum user so I was surprised after completing this Beauty Heaven trial that this was my favourite Dermaveem item of the 3 provided. It added some much needed moisture to my face after cleansing my skin in the shower and I liked how it didn't feel too heavy if I wanted to add 2 pumps to my face instead of just one. It sunk it quickly, and being a Mum of a young one that is a huge plus for me in my skincare regime. I liked how the small plastic pump bottle felt and how it was nice and light but I did have an issue with the pump jamming a few nights ago. I think it was just a random blockage but unsure. I liked how the serum felt so much that I also use it on my neck and decolletage to plump it up and ward of creases and wrinkles. Overall I like this serum.

The serum contains one of my favourite ingredients, sodium hyaluronate which is great for hydrating my skin and making it look more youthful. I applied this serum after cleansing and the first time I used it I got distracted and didn’t apply moisturer. Normally if I only apply a serum my skin will feel dry and tight. My skin felt progressively more hydrated as the day went on. It’s not a bad product but I honestly feel it’s only a hydrating serum. I don’t feel it lived up to it’s claims of reducing fine lines at all. It seemed to absorb well and I liked using it with my regular moisturiser but I wasn’t a fan of using it with the Dermaveen Hydrating Moisturiser at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, gentle, effective One of the things you will first notice about this serum is that is absorbs very quickly. It comes out as a clear, thin gel and soaks in almost instantly. It replenishes your skin's moisture levels and creates a soft and smooth base for your moisturiser. I've used it quite a fair bit now and I can say my skin is definitely smoother and more hydrated (which is what the product claims to do with the hyaluronic acid). It is a very simple, fuss-free and effective serum in terms of light hydration, so it would be good for those with oily or normal skin types. Dry skin may need something a bit more rich. The consistency of the product kind of reminds me of Clinique's Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly - clear, thin and absorbs quickly. I like that it is fragrance-free and feels ultra gentle on the skin. I have not broken out or had any irritation from it's also great for those with very sensitive skin. Overall it is a good serum.

As directed, I used this morning and night after cleansing my face with the daily nourish facial foaming cleanser. These products definitely complimented each other and felt really lovely on the skin. It absorbed well and my skin felt more renewed and bright. The package says it reduces wrinkles, however I did not notice this at all. I will continue to use though as the results may become more evident in the long term. I have really dry and flaky skin around my nose, and after a week of apt this in that area, the flakiness was gone which made my makeup applications so much smoother. I enjoyed the ease of use with a cute pump bottle. More natural ingrediants must be good for you skin as it was glowing after just a few weeks use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight Clear Gel Dermaveen Skin Renewal Facial serum comes in an air tight, opaque white 30 mL pump bottle. I love that the bottle is airtight so the serum doesn't oxidise and that the bottle is opaque so the UV rays don't degrade the product. The dispenser is great, as it keeps the product hygienic. The serum is a clear, lightweight gel with no scent. I smooth it over my face and neck right after cleansing and it goes on without any greasy feeling or residue. I wait a few minutes before following the serum up with moisturiser. My skin is dry and sensitive so the ingredients in this serum is right up my alley. The HA, B5 and betaglucan gives skin a hydrating boost. The brand is staying true to itself by giving a hydrating serum as its treatment product. The bottle is a bit iffy because it looks cute but feels plastic and I have a tiny crack on mine which I'm not sure where it came from. Still, I think its a good product at an affordable price point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasant facial serum I don’t always remember to use a facial serum in my night-time routine, so when I do add one in it is always a bonus for my skin. This serum is a clear gel with a cool sensation. It is quite thin in consistency and spreads very quickly and easily across the skin, and then dries rapidly. I wouldn’t say that it is super hydrating, but it is not too drying either. I have been using it after cleansing my face with the gel cleanser in this range, and then after using the serum I have added the moisturiser on top. This product is unscented and I really do prefer something with a bit of scent. I realise though that scented products are more irritating, and in this case they have chosen to make a gentle and hypoallergenic product rather than to go with something that smells nice. The bottle is a small plastic bottle with a pump top and a clear plastic lid. The small size of the bottle is handy for travelling. I didn’t notice any drastic effects but it might take a bit longer. There is hyaluronic acid in the serum, and so maybe with some time you would get more hydrating or smoothing effects.
