Rated 5 out of 5 by misfortune8 from As Good As The Originals - Just Black Each charcoal pore strip is sealed in its own black foil sachet. I like to cleanse my skin, then rinse with water as warm as I can tolerate, to open my pores as much as possible before using any Bioré pore strip. Don't forget to dry your hands before applying the pore strip! All the instructions are on the box & on each foil sachet, including illustrations. These are so easy to use I do like the black colour of these strips, but colour is less important than function. I find all of Biore's pore strips to be effective, these charcoal strips are no different in terms of end results, they get the gunk out of your pores. Apart from the colour, I can't tell the difference between the effects of these charcoal pore strips vs the originals. It's a bit more difficult to see the gunk it removes, so if you really want to see the gunk, stick with the white strips. REPURCHASE? Yes, either these or the original pore strips. I'll continue to buy whichever Bioré pore strip I see at the shop. My 18 y/o daughter asked me to buy her a box of these strips but i ended with getting her a box of the original and the charcoal pore strip, with 6 strips in a box. I was curious why she wanted it so much that I tried one myself. First, you have to make sure your nose area (including part of your cheek near the edge of the nose) is fully wet before applying the strip. you have fiddle a bit to position the strip to maximise the area you wish to be covered. the mini cuts on the edge do help appose the strips firmly flat of the nose. I would wait even more than an hour while watching tv or browsing the internet then once the strip feels dry and hard like cardboard, gently lift a portion and gently pull the strip off. Amazing how even after daily thorough cleansing and applying facial scrubs, I still harvests a fair amount of gunk that looks like tiny grass blades sticking out of the soil!.

I only have a few blackheads during hormonal times i.e. periods but my boyfriend (whose idea of a morning cleansing routine is soap and maybe shaving balm) has HEAPS all over his nose and was a perfect buddy to try the strip with at the same time as me. Having cleansed our faces we patted the strips on and waited till they felt dry. Pulling them off slowly we were able to see the full results. My strip caught a few but the real results to be seen were on my boyfriends strip. Despite the strip being black the gunk from his blackheads was spotted all over the used strip! I was impressed with its effectiveness. The boyfriend said he was too but pointed out that he pays 0 attention to his skin and so it had heaps of gunk ready to be pulled out.

It's the perfect clenser for dry or combination skin as I find it moisturises and does not dry. My skin is prone to breakouts and this wash not only means I my breakouts aren't as severe but also calms them. It smells amazing and when you finish washing your face it feels fresh and energised.

Right before trying this product I was told that Biore would change my life, and honestly it has! These strips are honestly the easiest things to use, you stick them onto a damp nose, ensuring they have stuck down sufficiently, then you leave for about 15 minutes, making sure that the strip goes stiff. After 10-15 minutes you gently peel away the strip. Look, I'm not going to lie, it hurts. It's similar to the pain of ripping off a bandaid, but you need to be more gentle so the pain lasts longer. However, the pain does leave your nose looking great. I've had blackheads that I've never been able to get rid of and slowly these strips are getting rid of them! I didn't notice a huge difference after the first use, but using it consistently will start to give you better results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheriiii from One of my favourite cleansers I love this cleanser. It is one of few which don't cause my skin to be dehydrated or flaky, while giving a good cleanse. It gets most of the visible junk out of my pores, though I still get some blackheads and pimples (just my usual). It feels nice on the skin, tingly in the refreshing way. One bottle lasts quite a long time, and isn't expensive (goes on sale occasionally too, I stock up every time).

I received a different biore product in one of my priceline beauty bags that was AMAZING for my skin however they stopped making that. I trued a different one which dried my skin so emailed biore and they suggested this. I tried it and have been really happy so far. A little goes a long way and it is really good at removing makeup and cleansing my skin. I am very happy with this product.

It doesn't make a huge difference to my blackheads however it made my skin feel amazing and fresh. When you put it on there is a tingly feeling which makes it seem like it's getting the job done :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheap and Petite from Works Wonderfully I have EXTREMELY blackhead prone skin. No amount of cleansing keeps them away. Usually I can keep them minimal for a couple of months, but there always comes a time when they appear like crazy and are too stubborn to budge. This is currently the only product I have found that actually helps remove most of them. It doesnt get all, but it gets a good chunk and leaves my skin prepared for more extractions after I take the strip off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by skincare junkie from Bathroom staple I have been using the white strips since a teenager. I do not find this better than the white ones but certainly no less effective. I love both, but I alternate for no reason. I always use a cream exfoliant on the nose area before application. The cream exfoliant dissolves the dead skin cells and this strip can really penetrate and grip the dirt much more effective. In fact this changes my life as I got more than 300% more of the dirt out so I do not have to use the strips as often. I now only use every 2 or 3 weeks (or whenever I remember). My other tip is to use warm water to wet the nose to opens up the pores. But not to use too much water that it dilutes out the "glue". I follow up with a clay masque to close my pores. This is my skincarr product that never disappoints!

Once you get past the dark coloured product and get it onto your face, it's like fresh blast. It gives the best pore clean I've come across from a budget cleanser. It leaves skin clean, bright and looking healthy. I'd recommend for oily/ combination skin types as it gets rid of that dreaded shine in the T-zone area and leaves pores clear and fresh.

I have combination skin with large pores that I hate. This product makes my skin feel so fresh and clean and the difference it makes to my pores is wonderful. Would definelty recommend.

I have been using this product for the last couple of weeks and love the way it cleans and leaves my skin tingly fresh. In-fact I have the whole family using it! Love the pump action, I pump half way and that gives me plenty to work with! Removes all traces of makeup beautifully! My skin has never felt so clean and fresh! I love this product and will using it. Thank you Biore for an affordable cleanser :).

So many blackheads come out and makes your nose feel amazingly smooth! Definitely will repurchase considering the price and the amazing product, I'd also like to try the squeezy tube pore strips so that I can romove the blackheads from my chin.

You had to be brave or get your friend to rip them off. They always worked though and it was borderline disgusting what they removed! I recently picked up a few packs for my teenagers and happy to say they are totally gentle yet still so effective. You moisten your nose, apply the patch, let it sit for 15 mins then peel it off, viola, instantly clean pores and yep still kinda gross to look at! Will be a regular purchase for our family now. Very highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lani06 from Superhero pore strips I'm a fan of Biore's pore strips, and the charcoal face cleanser, so I was keen to try these. I have mid-20s oily/combination skin prone to breakouts and blackheads. My nose is covered in poor enlarged, stretched pores, of which some can easily become blackheads. These pore strips are black - which makes them look like you mean business about clearing out your pores. Application is the same as the normal pore strips - however I have noticed that if your fingers are wet when you apply them, some of the black from the strips will rub off onto your fingers. So make sure they are dry! I feel like these don't harden quite as much as the normal ones, or need a bit more time to harden, but otherwise they feel the same. The first time I used them, I felt a tingly feeling like the first few times I used the charcoal cleanser - that tingly awake feeling you get when you use a product with menthol. But I didn't feel it any other time I used it. Removal is the same as the normal strips - be sure to peel them back on themselves so it hurts less. One thing I find that is better than the normal strips is that because the strips are black, you can more easily see all the gunk on them. However, instead of leaving behind white residue like the normal ones, these leave behind black residue (usually it's just in my creases where my nostrils meet my cheeks) - but it's easy to wash off with water. I wasn't too sure at first if these strips were better at getting the gunk and blackheads out of my pores - but after using them once a week for about 4 weeks, I tried one of the normal ones - and found that they didn't pick up as much gunk as they used to. I can only assume that after using the charcoal pore strips, they cleaned out more gunk than the normal ones did, so there wasn't as much there for the normal ones to get! In terms of value for money, I normally try to buy the pore strips on sale. These are the same price as the ultra deep cleansing pore strips, and both are slightly more than the normal ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cece345 from Will buy again and again At first it made my skin dry but eventually when my skin became not too dry and not too oily due to change in skin care regime, this worked wonders. Its a gel consistency and it tingles when you use it. I credit this product for my significant decrease in acne and pimples. I still get these small bumps of acne/pimple here and there, but more often than not they never develop into giant blemishes.

Firstly I was greatly impressed by the reasonable price for a good size bottle (it was also on special!) Love the pump action, although I don't pump all the way down, as I find you need only a small amount to get a good lather up. The dark colour is a bit off putting at first, and the fragrance is mild. I have 50 year old normal skin & was concerned this product may be too drying. It isn't at all. I will definitely be buying from this range again.

It purified my pores and also removed the black dots on the tips of my nose. Furthermore, it removes efficiently dirt and impurities and leave my face cleaned and soft. The smell is so pleasant and fresh and it such a delight to see my skin intensely cleaned and healthy. It also leave a minty-cool feeling that I love so much. I bought the full size bottle and I use it on a daily basis.

My thoughts on viewing the product: For those of you who are familiar with the Bioré range of strips, this will be familiar territory. The only difference with this particular product is the strips are almost black (or, wait for it, a charcoal colour)! It's the same six strips per box, in the same individual packets in the box (although the packets are a charcoal colour), with the same instructions. Familiar territory. Great, easy to follow instructions (five steps) on both the box and each packet, so you can't go wrong. My thoughts on application: I really do love the simple five step instructions. They are clear and easy to follow. If you stick to these to the letter, you do get great results. What I love about these charcoal strips is, it is easier to see just what comes out of your nose / skin. I didn't have any big fun ones like you see on YouTube, but I had those fine ones that make Bioré strips fun! What I also really appreciated about these strips was, it was easier to note which spots needed to dry longer on my nose (there was charcoal residue left on my face). It allowed me to better anticipate where to press the strip for the next time, and to better calculate my drying time.

After 10-15 minutes all you have to do is peel it off. It doesn't hurt when you peel it off. My white heads on the black strip was evident. I am amazed that it picked up the white heads, clogged pores with dirt and oil. The packaging contains 6 charcoal pore strips. I bought it at Priceline when it was on sale. Highly recommend!

So i picked this up at priceline it has a nice pump dispenser and you really only need a little as it foams up very nicely. At first the thick looking black liquid was a little off putting put it comes out as a white foam and there is a very pleasant scent that is light and does not linger. When first applied it has a nice tingly feeling that makes you feel like its really do in something. I find that it is gentle enough to use twice a day and has helped to clear up some of my acne and to balance my combination skin. I find it did really help to clean out my pores and I've noticed less gunk on my nose strips. My blackheads look only marginally better but im hopefully that this will help over time. Either way its a very nice all round cleanser for a great price. My sister who usually wont use any skincare liked this so much because it helped with her quite bad blackhead problem that i had to buy her own bottle so that she would stop stealing mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by josella432 from Great Cleanser Under $15 The thing that most drew me to this product was the colour. I really wanted to wash my face with a black cleanser. Fortunately, if you find this offputting the product changes to a foamy white when you lather it between your fingers. I loved the tingly, warm sensation that comes from the menthol, especially on those mornings where I wanted to go back to bed. As for the scent, I've had trouble placing it. It's not overpowering, just a kind of 'fresh' smell. My skin felt nice and clean, but not stripped of its oils. After a couple of months of use I noticed gunk that had long been clogging pores finally budging. With prolonged use I'm sure it would keep those pores small and clear. The packaging is a simple pump bottle that is easy to use in the shower and pop in the recycling when empty. Would I repurchase? Definitely.

I always remove most of my makeup first as I don't find it's super effective at doing this but it does leave my skin feeling refreshed without being stripped of all oil. Smells great and lasts ages. A little pump really does cleanse the whole face with ease. Only complaint is that it sticks to the basin all the time, need to scrub it off!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmakristina from New favourite cleanser I decided to give Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser a try as I have been suffering from congested pores and breakouts. I love products with natural ingredients like charcoal so I was immediately drawn to this cleanser. I have to say after using it for a couple of weeks my skin has definitely cleared up and my pores feel tighter. The smell is nice, not too overpowering and I love the cool, tingling feeling on my skin as the cleanser does it's thing! I would definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing again.
