The colour lasts for hours, and I mean hours, through eating, drinking, you name it. Although its matte, its not drying like many other matte lippies and doesn't cake up when you do need to re-apply. It also doesn't bleed into the fine lines I have around my lips like other brands do. It is easy to apply, can be done on the run. The colour I chose, standout, is just the most perfect everyday shade which goes with everything. I will definitely purchase this again, as well as other colours in the range.

The colour is nice and pigmented and compliment my so well. It does have a bit of tingly peppermint effect but nothing too drastic. I really like the formula because because it's a nice matte that's comfortable in the lips and doesn't suck away any the life out of your lips. Overall its great for an everyday lipstick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing matte longlasting lipcolours [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this lipstick! I find them very versatile and useful in multiple situations! Firstly, as a full coverage matte lipstick, these are amazing. Theyre so creamy and soft, they don't feel drying, and they stay on considerably considering how soft they are! I also like to use them as more of a stain. I will blend them across my lips with my fingers, to give a nice subtle pop of colour without being a full coverage colour. It's easy to blend over a lipbalm, or if you blend over dry lips or lipliner, it stays put for SO long. It is a little more drying over lipliner, but it stays on so well it's worth it for me. Overall an amazin product, there's beautiful colours!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty in pink [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I look at females wearing bright pink fabulous lipstick with envy I have come to the realisation that my relationship with lip stick is not a match made in heaven and is more of a "it's complicated" relationship. My love for food and endless amount of lift food to my mouth has made wearing lipstick difficult as I end up eating most of my lipstick instead of wearing it! I also find most lipsticks heavy on my lips which causes great annoyance for me. When I had almost given up hope I tried the Revelon Colour burst and was pleasantly surprised. I found it to feel more like lip balm then lip stick so the heavy feeling was not there. I also liked that the colours weren't too bright meaning when it rubbed off it wasn't super noticeable. For me I find this product to be the training wheels I need to help me graduate into the full blown bright lipstick land. The price point is also very affordable which is an added bonus.

I don't think I will ever go back to buying a traditional lipstick applicator - the crayon applicator is better suited to my laissez faire approach to storing lipsticks. It smells like menthol - and has a cool feeling when applied to the lips. It last for ages, through coffee breaks and lunches. I like the colour too. I want to buy more. Also, the crayon style precludes the need for lip liner; allowing me to line my lips first, then colour them in - this is a saving in itself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the red and pinky mauve shades for a really long time, but an year ago I discovered the brown shade (sultry) and omg! I have not stopped wearing it since! It's literally the most PERFECT shade for my tan skin! I lovvveeee the feel of this! and the smell! So minty!Such a wonderful product! I honestly can't say enough good things about it! The color range is great where it caters to so many different skin tones, but my skin color LOVES it!! Matte enough to be a "matte" balm but definitely not drying at all!I don't think I'll ever stop buying this!

The same soft, silky, smooth feel with a whole new Matte look, just to shake things up a bit. If you liked the original Colourbust Balms, you will like the Matte Balm. It has the same wearability and longevity, the same nourishing feel, and the same highly pigmented pop of colour, but in a new format. What more could you want.

I have a nude one and a deep red one for going out at night and I can't sing their praises enough. They go on thin and even, which an easy to apply design. These seem to be a really big thing in the market at the moment and of the ones I have tried, Revlon is definitely the best. The best part other than the amazing colour, is that it has quite good staying power, drinking and eating are fine and will only need a light touch up if worn for extended periods.

I was a bit hesitant to try a matte lip product as I have found that it really dries out my lips, however this product was amazing. It didn't settle into any of the fine lines on my lip and it was extremely hydrating because It's a balm formula. It lasted all day even when i ate. It has a minty smell which i quite liked. Application is very easy and has high pigmentation.

I usually avoid them like a plague due to my dry flaky lips, but if I exfoliate my lips prior to applying them, they look amazing. The matte finish looks amazing and doesn't look cracked/dry. It has a slight tingling sensation, perhaps due to the mint, but once it is applied, it is so comfortable and lasts a long time. I have the shade "sultry" and it is a lovely deep berry colour that can be worn casually or for a night out. The best part is though, that you can apply these on the go, thanks to the crayon shape. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone who wants to wear a matte lipstick that is comfortable and is long lasting.

This one has a really matte look and tastes & smells minty when I put it on. It feels silky as it glides on. It's light to wear and I like that. My lips feel creamy, moist and fresh. I have this in "Complex" (230) - a nude neutral colour which I can wear everywhere! It's an understated colour and I like that in a make-up look because I have no fear of looking 'overdone'. The twist-up crayon-like product is housed in the colour that the lipstick is. The frosted aluminium matte silver end is the bit that I twist to make the lipstick go up and down - just like the other 'Chubbies' that Clinique have made. The lid fits snuggly but easily and is smooth to remove too.

It has soft texture and apply smoothly on my lips. It is highly pigmented and even soft touch show the vibrant colour. While it is matte balm so its not so creamy like all matte lip colours. I used it over any transparent lip balm just to keep my lips soft(as i have dry lips). The best thing about this lip colour is its lasting power, it last on my lips for very long time which I love. This product is very similar to Revlon just bitten kissable balm. I like this product, it is great for those who want long lasting lipcolour, but I will not recommend it for those who have very dry damaged or cracked lips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing matte finish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally purchased this in standout, a bold blue toned red, and I loved it so much I bought two more shades. Elusive, a nice neutral mid toned pink, and shameless, an intense purple. All three shades have amazing pigmentation and wear nicely with a true matte but not dry finish. The two darker shades (shameless and standout) have a habit of fading unevenly so I'm left with just a ring of colour around my lips, but this only happens after hours of impressive wear time. I'm a big fan of the crayon style applicators and the fresh mint scent has to be my favourite scent I've ever had in a lip product. These are much better than the Revlon lipsticks in my opinion, and cheaper, and my favourite out of the colour burst balm range.

The colour I purchased was called "240 Striking Spectaculaire" which is basically a matte red. I put it on in the afternoon before going out for the evening and it lasted the whole night, even through eating and drinking! I was worried it would all come off on my fork or cup but nope, it was still perfect after a meal. The biggest problem I have with this is if you have dry/cracked lips it's a nightmare to apply so exfoliate before you use it. I don't really have a problem with dry lips in the summer but in winter it's a near-constant struggle. All in all I love this balm and I'll definitely be trying other colours in the range. the texture feels like you're wearing nothing at all which is great.

Then I thought I would give one of the Revlon Colourburst Matte balms a try. I love how the crayon itself is easily applied and leaves my lips feeling moisturised and nourished. I do find I need to blend and blot the balm to avoid 'bleeding'. A healthy, flake free lip is a must too...although the colour coverage is good enough to disguise a chapped lip for a while. The balm has a minty fragrance when applied and is quite lovely. I always leave mine in my handbag for whenever I need a subtle pop of colour. My shade was no. 210

Kind of like the 'Kylie Jenner lip colour' but darker. It's a beautiful shade and still looks fairly natural, despite it being pretty dark. To me, it's the perfect autumn colour. It has a light pepperminty smell which I really enjoy. The packaging is a simple crayon kind of design, the lipstick twists up which means no sharpening which is great for on the go. I'm looking forward to picking up more colours in this range.

The balm looks like a crayon and is super to use. It glides on super smooth and it does not bleed into my skin or smudge. It makes my lips feel so smooth and moisturised. My lips look perfectly Matte I can smell the light peppermint scent which is not overpowering but adds a hint of freshness. The colour is bright and vibrant pink, a true show stopper. I love the colour Showy Flamboyante and it is very long lasting. It produces a highly pigmented colour which I adore. I love this balm, it is my favourite as it is so easy to apply. The balm does not need to be sharpened and just winds up making it super fuss free. I highly recommend this product and it is a hit for winter as it gives me a burst of colour while keeping my lips moisturised. I have never found a product quite like this and I am raving about it as it is amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revlon Matte Balm has great packaging, with the packaging's materials a very similar colour to the actual product. It goes on the lips smooth and creamy and has the same slight minty feeling as the original Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. It's very matte, quite moisturising and doesn't make my lips dry. It's not a stain though, but for the time that it does wear, it looks great. Sultry is my go to winter lip product when I'm not feeling the reds, and I love it.

I got 225 Sultry and LOVE it. It stays on, and even when wearing thin you can press your lips together and it redistributes anything left evenly! I got Tarte's LipSurgence lip tint after this and it doesn't wear as well at all.... I prefer Revlon's staying power by far. Not at all drying either

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour payoff! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love love love these matte balms. I have two shades, in the light matte nude, and mischievous. Mischievous is my favourite, a lovely coral orange, that I was a bit worried about suiting me but I love it so much I don't really care. It feels quite nice going on the lips and is really easy to apply. The colours I have are pretty forgiving, even if I apply them without a mirror. I do find that I need to clear the corners of my mouth after extended wear but the colour payoff is incredible. I do wear them over a lip balm just because my lips are extra dry and while these balms aren't drying, being matte in nature they need a little extra moisture to be comfortable for extended use. The minty aftertaste is quite pleasant as well. Not as overpowering as other balms which I appreciate! Handles eating pretty well, even in the lighter shades and is easy to reapply without looking flaky.

The formula is just as moistrising & highly pigmented as the Balm Stain. The packages are crayon-like with matte bodies & twist-able ends, so they don't require sharpening. The finishes on lips are sophistically matte & smooth, not to mention the beautiful colours last more then half a day.

So easy to apply, practically gliding on my lips! leaving them feeling amazing, so soft & smooth with just the right amount of moisture & beautiful colour that last for hours! I also have a couple of other shades in the stain & the lacquer balm which makes it very hard to choose which colour I want to wear each day because they are all fabulous! But I would have to say that the matte balm is my favourite! & if I want to make glossy I just blend in one of my similar pink shades from the lacquer range over the top! Creating an awesome colour with everything I love about the two ColourBurst Balms! I think every woman needs to own at least one of these in their favourite shade! Because I seriously do not know how I went on for so long without them! I always have one handy! & they have even replaced a couple of my old favourites! there are so many different shades to choose from hoe could you not find one thats perfect for you! & yes I too think that they are a little pricey... but SOOOO WORTH IT!
