Durably moisturises and biologically stimulates the skin’s natural moisturising capacities thanks to the Aquagenium™ patent. From BIODERMA’s research labs, this innovative patent retrains the skin to generate its own moisture by stimulating the natural water channels within the skin which are essential for water circulation. Combined with stimulating the natural production of skin lipids, Hydrabio Gel-créme promotes water retention in the epidermal layers to create lasting hydration. The multi-lamellar emulsion within Hydrabio Gel-crème is structured the same as the layers of the surface of the skin, meaning key hydrating ingredients have the ability to penetrate deeper into the epidermis to where they are needed.
• Apple seed extract and niacinamide make up the Aquagenium™ patent to generate immediate and long-lasting hydration by biologically relaunching the skin's natural water channels and stimulating the production of lipids within the skin barrier.
• Rapeseed further stimulates lipid production to strengthen the barrier function and prevent trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), a cause of dehydration.

Directions

In the morning and/or at night, apply Hydrabio gel-crème to face and neck, after cleansing with Hydrabio H2O. Massage into the skin until absorbed. Excellent makeup base.

I wanted a moisturiser to use at night over the top of my serums, that wouldn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts as so many night creams are comedgenic and this one isn’t. It’s light, hydrating and has a pleasant smell too but without being overpowering. The sacylic acid in it keeps breakouts away and my skin feels so smooth since using it and is really clear.

Yes the fragrance is nice, it absorbs fairly well but as for all the other claims, I can't say it worked for me. The only positive thing I can really say about this moisturiser is that it didn't sting when applied over an area on my face that was injured in an accident. My other moisturiser did so I used this one instead. Apart from that, at this price I will not be purchasing anymore of this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Stacey827 from Beautiful texture and scent This moisturiser/gel cream has the slightest blue tinge to it. The scent is similar to the rest of the hydrobio range, it has a subtle almost baby-powder scent. I really love it. When you apply it the cream kind of turns to a watery consistency, spreading over your skin like a thin liquid. I found it to make your skin feel extremely soft, offer enough hydration but it did not fully absorb. It stayed tacky for a long period of time, and did give me a slight sheen to my face. This might be because I have oily skin. I tried wearing it under make-up, but it is just slightly too shiny for my oily skin type. I like it on its own or at night. I have the hydrobio serum also which does not leave the shiny film on my face, and it seems to go much better under makeup for me. I would think it would be the other way around! I can’t use the two together in the morning for sure. Far too much moisture for what I need. So I’m a bit in the middle. I really love the scent and how soft it makes my skin. But it’s not something for everyday wear under makeup for me. I reach for the serum for that.
