What are hair bonds?

Hair Bonds are protein chains found in the inner most part of the hair, the cortex. When hair is submitted to stress from colouring, styling or simply just brushing these hair bonds can break causing deep damage.

How do you treat broken hair bonds?

Elvive Bond Repair contains Citric Acid which helps build inner broken hair bonds. The molecule is small enough to penetrate deep within the hair to give back its original strength.


When should I use Elvive Bond Repair?

Elvive Bond Repair works on all levels of damaged hair and all hair types. Start with the Bond Repair Pre-shampoo, by applying on damp hair and allowing it to sit for 5 minutes. How to use this pre-shampoo:
An intensive rinse-off treatment before shampooing for the deepest hair
repair. Apply a generous amount of this hair product on damp hair, from scalp to ends until hair is
thoroughly saturated. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
Follow with the Bond Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

After using for a few weeks my hair already feels stronger, smoother and a lot healthier. It's much more manageable and there is less hair on my hairbrush now. My hair is very long, goes all the way to my bottom. When I brushed it before, it felt like I was stretching my hair and it would sometimes snap. This product has really helped to stop all of that and make my hair feel a lot stronger. When I use all of the Elvive Bond Repair products together it feels like I've just come from a salon. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVE this Pre Shampoo, I’ve never tried one before so hard to compare but I am super impressed with this. It doesn’t seem to lather up like normal shampoo so it kind of feels like you need a lot meaning the bottle won’t last as long, however, it is easy to use and let me tell you the clean feeling even after just this is insane haha it’s a clean soft feeling I’ve never felt with any other shampoo. I would absolutely highly recommend to anyone thinking of giving it a try.

I bleech my hair to a medium blonde shade and it always gets a bit of frizz unless I dry it very well after a regular shampoo. After the first application of the Bond Repair Pre-Shampoo I could instantly feel how much smoother my hair was. It's quite a thick formula so is a little heavy, but I just popped my hair in a bun while I waited to jump in the shower. I'm also glad it is sulphate free, the only thing I don't love (which is the same for other pre-treatments) is the wetting of the hair prior to putting it on!

As a result, my hair is dry and damaged and I suffer from serious frizz! First impressions were that the packaging was very nice, love the colours. After using the pre-shampoo I noticed an immediate softness to my hair even when it was wet. Normally my hair tangles when getting wet in the shower and after using this product it was super smooth like I had used conditioner. The mixture was thin and lightweight, very easy to smooth onto wet hair, and smells divine. After finishing the routine, I would normally blow dry my hair to reduce frizz but this time I thought I’d let me hair dry naturally to see the results. So impressed, this product actually works. I had about a 50% reduction in frizz after first use!! Would highly recommend this product!
