It glided on like a dream and stayed all day for work. What I loved most about it was the colour payoff. I didn't have to put on multiple swipes as one swipe did the trick! It was absolutely stunning and It was sooo creamy. The colour is so flattering and wasn't patchy at all. I would highly recommend this lipstick to anyone looking for a long lasting comfortable lip colour for the day. It lasts me the whole working day and is really amazing!

Love the built in primer and the gorgeous matte look. I wear 16, which was called 'breadwinner' which was a deep red. On my skin tone it was a lovely red, and the colour was beautiful. I loved that the matte was truly matte, and lasted for the whole night. The product promotes eight hours of smudge-proof finish, and I would say it was true. I loved that the lipstick felt very soft and felt like I wasn't wearing anything at all. The added vitamin E helped to keep my lips hydrated so they didn't get dry whilst wearing. Had excellent stay power, great colour and a real matte lipstick! Great price point, would certainly recommend this again!

I put it in the morning before going to the office, and at the end of the office of 8 hours noticed almost the same as morning. It doesn’t leave mark on your coffee mag which is very essential if you are a coffee or tea person. It keeps the light weight finish. I am now pretty fan of The Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick in shade 001 Gut Instinct. Just a little thing could be better is that reduced dryness, for which you need to put extra little bit of lip balm or lipgloss over it. Otherwise I am satisfied with the product, will definitely recommend it.

The dusty rose colour of this lipstick is absolutely stunning. The packaging of this lipstick is simple but elegant. The lipstick glides on effortlessly, and looks simply stunning. I had only very minor issues with transfer but nothing worth complaining about. If you don't like a super matte feeling lipstick then this might not be for you or you could maybe give it a try with some lipgloss over the top. I highly recommend this product.

It's a darkish red that will complement most complexions, in my opinion. The tube has a mostly accurate representation of the color on it. In order to open the lipstick I had to remove the stickers with all the information which was a bit of an annoyance because I like to see how many months from opening the lipstick can be used and I'm unable to memorise that. You have to be careful when putting the cap back on if you don't want to damage the tip of the lipstick, small annoyance. The formula is really good. Creamy as you apply and dries down quickly but you still have time to fix any mistakes. If you don't want to feel it on your lips a very light layer will be enough. Layering it on thicker makes it only marginally brighter but noticeably less comfortable to wear. The finish is semi matte and eventually makes your lips feel drier than usual but nothing significant. Probably won't look good on chapped lips. I like that it doesn't leave any marks on teeth and is kiss/water proof. As it wears off it leaves a slight tint on your lips so it doesn't look like there's something wrong. Over all, I like this lipstick very much. Even started googling where to get more shades. Usually I don't enjoy wearing lipsticks: they smudge, wear off, feel too present on the lips. This one gives you good coverage in a thin layer and it almost feels like you're not wearing anything at all.

I would say it is a dusty red shade, which I love! It is easy to apply, it is a fairly sheer natural lip stick if you only apply it once but the colour can be buildable if you are after a more bold look. It is a really matte lipstick which I like as it feels as though you aren't wearing anything. This lipstick is definitely long lasting and I did find that it kinda stained my mouth a little bit after I had washed my makeup off. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone and everyone who likes the matte look.

It is a matte formula that isn’t drying, did not dry out my lips and wore beautifully throughout the day. it glided on nicely, was easy to apply and it did not feel like I had anything on my lips. I honestly forgot I was wearing lipstick. The formula was long wearing and transfer proof, The only time it started coming off was when I was eating oily food and when it was coming off it did so only a little bit. tried the shade 016 Bread winner, which is a blue-toned red. The application was easy enough and it didn't bleed. Removal was easy with some micellar water on a cotton pad. Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to getting more colours!

This Revlon Colourstay Suede Ink lipstick in 001 Gut Instinct is packaged in a fairly slim case which easily fits in your handbag or makeup bag. It is one of my all time must have essentials for my make up routine. It’s so easy to apply and lasts the entire day. It doesn’t clump or dry out your lips like lots of others tend to do that have the same lasting power. And I just really like the colour it’s matches my skin tone perfectly. If you want a truly long lasting lipstick with amazing staying power then this is the lipstick for you. Definitely recommend giving this lipstick a try.

I tried the colour 016 breadwinner which is a bright vibrant gorgeous red colour. I’ll start with the aesthetics, I like the simple but elegant design of the product, very nice. The first time I wore it, it was for a night out and I knew I would be drinking a lot so I knew it would be a great test to see how well it stays on. I applied it at 4pm. The colour is super vibrant and bright, it looks awesome! I wouldn’t usually go for a colour so bright, I would usually go for a more neutral colour, but I did love trying this one. And I love the matte look, I always go for mattes. Now with applying it, because it’s matte and stays on for a long time, it doesn’t just glide on like a lipstick that lasts for twenty minutes would. You have to apply it carefully and slowely, make sure you cover your lips right to the edges to make them look nice and plump. I wish I could upload photos to my review. Oh and another thing, when I kissed my kids goodbye before going out it didn’t leave a lipstick mark on their face lol. I checked my lips multiple times during the night to see if it needed a touch up. At 6.30pm was the first sign of needing a touch up. A small part along the top was wearing off. I had eaten twice and drinking continuously during this time. I didn’t bother touching it up I wanted to see how it went. It still looked good and you wouldn’t notice the small part that was wearing off unless you really looked close. After continuing my night for another couple of hours I decided to do a touch up. A good thing about this lipstick is that with the time that this lipstick lasts it will last you a long time, so it’s worth the money if you want a long lasting, good quality, great coloured lipstick. I would definately recommend this lipstick to my friends and family and anyone else.

I did not find it drying and the colour was the perfect shade for me. Something that i would recommend and purchase different colours once they become available. Zero smudging and layered well with gloss over the top for a different look. I was shocked over how hydrating it was considering my experience with long wear lipsticks in the past have been very drying and not easy to wear. Packaging was nice and felt very high end considering the brand. I don't often look to drug store products and tend to prefer high end but after using this it made me remember how much i previously loved Revlon products and will look to purchase in the future.

The staying power of this lipstick is exceptional and wore well through the day, only wearing off after eating an oily meal. The finish is a true matte with absolutely no shine! This does mean the feel is a little dry though this option is definitely less drying and more comfortable than other matte lipsticks I have tried in the past. The pigment is deep and the application is super easy thanks to the wide, flat, bullet shape. Marks lost only for still not being particularly hydrating or comfortable compared to other lip products, but overall I was impressed with the formula and would recommend this option to matte lipstick enthusiasts without hesitation.

The colour itself is beautiful, really wearable and perfect for everyday wear. The lipstick is easy to apply, sets quickly and does not budge or smudge at all. It lasted throughout the day fine too. The product is a matte formula which is not normally my go-to but it didn’t look overly matte or dry. My only negative comment is that it feels very dry on your lips so best to pair with a balm or gloss on top.

It was lovely and suited my skin tone. After drying down, it feels uncomfortable and heavy. It is quite a dryish lipstick, so if you like well-moisturised lips then it may not be for you. W earing this with and without a lip treatment/balm applied beforehand I find that this lipstick does appear a little feathered and patchy half way throughout the day.The staying power of this lipstick is quite impressive. I generally put it on in the morning and that's it. I can get through a busy work day on one coat of lipstick. Easy to remove with a cleanser especially for long wearing make-up.

The colour is beautiful dusty rose with a surprising tinge of light pink which I love. The Lipstick is squarely packaged, very sophisticated look with the colour of lipstick lid matching very closely to the lipstick colour which is very handy & convenient when rushing out to. Once applied onto the lips, it feels kind of dry and unnoticeable. The matte colour resembles very much like having suede velvet lips, and transfer was very minimal which is fantastic as that generally deters me from wearing any lipsticks. Although the finish is matte, it does not leave my lips feeling dry but I did notice it made the lines in my lips stand out. Overall I still quite liked it for the beautiful colour and velvet effect on my lips.

I have pretty pale skin with bright pink hair and I found this colour complemented my colouring perfectly. The formula feels lightweight and is easy to apply, I find the built in primer ensures it also applies smoothly with no imperfections. A lot of lipsticks dry my lips out but this lipstick was very comfortable to wear and had great coverage on the lips! I reapplied after eating oily pasta and it easily reapplied, some lipsticks go patchy once reapplied. I’m keen to try out the other colours!

I don't think I own one matte lipstick that doesn't dry out my lips, but this one doesn't! It glides on like its got silicon in it or something, without sucking all the moisture from my lips. It doesn't add any slip or shine to the lips. The lipstick then remains transfer proof and ends with a nice stain the lasts for hours. I didn't notice any bleeding of colour from the edges on my lips. The shade I had was a beautiful pinky red colour on me and can be built up in intensity for richer colour. The only thing I will say is, the packaging is clunky and feels a little bit cheap, it's not sleak or anything. I would definitely buy it again!

Normally I can't stand the feeling of a mate lipstick, for instance when it starts to dry out. So therefore, when this started occurring I used a clear gloss over the top. As gloss runs out quickly, the bottom colour stayed for nearly the whole day! When it says it is like 'ink' they meant it, therefore, when you are putting it on you have to be careful to do it properly as it is hard to move once it is on. I suggest using this lipstick with a lip liner, to help define the edges better. Also, if you are not a fine of drying lipsticks. You should incorporate a balm or gloss to help hydrate your lips as they do dry out quite harshly. Overall this colour is beautiful and I love it, just wish it was more hydrating. But that is just my preference

The packaging is sleek and light, but reminiscent of the Revlon brand. Application is also awesome, while it is a suede matte, it isn’t overly drying on the lips. However if you want to put some gloss or ointment over the top for that gym lips look that was trending a few months back, that’s fine too. There isn’t a distinct scent to this product, which is great for those who more sensitive towards fragrance. Will happily use this again, and it’s a great lip product for the price.

Honestly their lipsticks have not been my kind of formula that I look for. There is no scent, and the packaging is sleek and well made with a nice tight close. I received the shade 016 Bread Winner. What a stunning blue based red colour!!! It really feels like you are wearing nothing. The staying power of the lipstick is impressive, though reapplication can be a bit tricky. But it is so smooth, it just glides over your lips. The cons of the product would have to be the rounded shape, it is really hard to get defined lines with out a point to the bullet. When they are released I'm definitely going to find some in more muted every day shades for myself!

I find it difficult to source a nice natural shade of lipstick but this really complemented my fair complexion. I was surprised how easily this matte lipstick applied, it's a real no fuss application. I'd only put two coats on, this lipstick lasted through a trip to the dentist AND lunch straight afterwards! I reapplied after lunch out of habit, although I probably didn't need to. As the afternoon went on, I added some chapstick as it was beginning to dry out ever so slightly - but not to the point it became super noticeable or uncomfortable. It really exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely continue to wear it and will purchase again!

It is extremely easy to apply and has great accuracy. There was no smudging at all and it felt like it immediately set with no transfer onto my teeth. Somehow it is feels very hydrating and didn’t dry my lips out at all. It literally didn’t budge or lighten over several hours of wear which included drinking. The packaging felt luxe and looks good in the handbag. The shade range is also great and suits most skin tones.

I’ll admit straight off the bat - I love lipstick! They are my favourite makeup product by far. Classic reds, bright pinks, glosses, mattes - I’ll wear just about all of them. I was pleased to be trialling the Revlon Colorstay Ink Lipstick in the shade Gut Instinct. Gut Instinct would best be described on me as a MLBB (my lips but better) shade. Pinkish, nudish. The packaging is a plastic tube with a wind up base. I found the packaging to be sturdy enough to kick around in my handbag and the lid was firm enough to stay on securely. Weirdly it is difficult to find information online about the Colorstay Ink Lipsticks, including on Revlon’s own Australian website (perhaps it hasn’t launched here yet?) Instead you’ll find plenty of swatches and reviews of Revlon’s other Colorstay Ink product, the Satin Ink Lipcolor, a liquid lipstick with promises of a long lasting application. I’m assuming the Colorstay Ink Lipsticks promise is the same - longevity. The lipstick itself has a nice slanted angle, perfect for quick, easy and accurate application. I didn’t detect any smell from this lipstick. It also glides on beautifully. No tugging at all. It can easily be worn with only one swipe. There’s no uneven or patchiness here which I find impressive. I would apply one layer, blot, then go in with a second layer. The layers applied nicely. After a few seconds the lipstick did “set” to a comfortable matte finish. At this point do not rub your lips together, otherwise you may cause the lipstick to crumble in spots. I found the formula to be comfortable and long wearing throughout the day. There was no transfer when drinking or eating most foods (as with all lipsticks, be careful eating oily food). Being a matte product, it did cause a slightly dry looking appearance on the lips after a few hours, so I was always sure to prep the lips before wearing (lip scrub and lip balm wiped off before application). I find this a fair trade off for matte lips that were actually very comfortable to wear throughout the day. As Gut Instinct was a MLBB shade it appeared to wear off evenly during the day and was never patchy. I would be keen to try the formula in a classic red shade. As always, makeup in Australia is expensive so my advice would always be to purchase this product on sale if you wish to try it. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a long wearing, transfer proof matte product in a lipstick format that is low effort and comfortable to wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jess U. from Everyday Matte Nude in a Tube [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick in 01 Gut Instinct is a nice shade of nude, that is quite a versatile colour for an everyday wear. It is a bullet shaped lipstick that comes in a tube package with the lid colour coordinated to the lipstick, and black base. The lipstick has a built-in-primer and gives matte opaque color payoff, and was relatively smudge-free. Just don't use lip balms or creams prior to apply the lip stick as the results are not the best and some smudge will occur. Over the top would be alright, if you do not want a matte finish. I found it easier to apply the lipstick after using some lip-liners, making it easier to apply and stay in place and get a nice edge. Love that there is a wide range for the everday wear, and bold moments. Would recommend everyone added one (or more) of these in their rotation, if you like matte lipsticks.

The colour is a beautiful shade of red which I think would work with most skin undertones. For a matte style lipstick, it is a great formula which almost feels hydrating and not at all drying. It is easy to apply and dries relatively quick. It lasted great whilst drinking but I did find after eating it does fade/smudge a bit. I would definitely use this product again but would be sure to use lipliner to improve its longevity. I would recommend this for a great affordable lipstick with a wide selection of shades!

This Revlon Colorstay Ink Lipstick is not quite mauve, not quite maroon, not quite brown, not quite dark nude...its a perfect mix of all, especially for Autumn/winter. Yes! I have already had comments on the colour which was soo nice. This lipstick is buildable, so you can have a subtle lip day, or a bold lip day depending on your mood (or outfit). I found that this lipstick did have the staying power, however it could have had a little more.. I do find that some other brands I own have much longer longevity, but that wouldn't stop me from recommending and re-purchasing. The packaging is pretty basic, nothing special but don't let that hold you back. Lovely, creamy lipstick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aarti G. from Beautiful shade, perfect matte [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Revoon Suede Ink lipstick in shade 016 Bread Winner which is a darker and deeper red color. I usually wear shades in this color range and this was an absolute lovely shade that I tried. It has matte application and thus does not transfer. Even though it’s matte, I have noticed that it does not dry my lips a lot. It has good composition that it’s both matte and non-drying. However, there’s one thing that I found a bit difficult was application. Since the tip was a bit broader, applying lipstick around the corners was a bit difficult. Otherwise, it is worth buying again and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Annabel M. from Longwearing matte lipstick [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t normally wear matte lipsticks but I quite enjoyed trialling the Revlon Colourstay Suede Ink Lipstick in Bread Winner. The colour is a beautiful deep red that O feel would suit many skin tones. The formula is quite a dry one. If I wear a matte lipstick, I normally choose a formula which is a creamy matte L it feels more comfortable, however other than not being able to rub my lips together, I didn’t really notice I was wearing lipstick. The application could do with some improvement. I prefer a bullet type applicator as it helps with an easier application around the edges of the lips. I was able to apply the lipstick straight from the bullet, but it did take some time and I’ll use a lip brush next time to speed up the process. Other than that, I really like this lipstick. LOVE the colour and look forward to wearing it again soon.

Love the colour Suede Ink that I received to try! The colour was subtle but still enough to be noticeable with a pinky/ nude tone. The lipstick was super long wearing as well as easy to apply and in this colour I didn't need a lip liner. The lipstick also went on very smoothly. I don't usually wear a matte lip, and I did find it a little drying so I would recommend applying a moisturising balm over the top or even underneath worked for me. The only downside was this affects the wear and it transferred more easily. Overall, I would definitely look to trial more colours and recommend to others!
