Rated 4 out of 5 by Kathy K. from New matte/dry lipstick [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to try out the Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink™ Lipstick the colour was called Gut instinct it was a mauve colour and I believe complements most skin tones. Im fair coloured skin and i wore it out to our Christmas party and got a lot of compliments. The lipstick is dry / matte and not sticky you can pair it with a clear gloss to make the lips feel moisturised. Its long lasting and lasted through the day and evening. I would highly recommend this lipsticks to anyone who loves a dry matte feel and it also has a positive that it lasts quite well.

I have naturally verry dry lips so I find Suede and matte lips dry out quickly for me, however not this one. I love how cosmetically elegant and lightweight this lipstick is. It definitely feels like a high quality lipstick versus drugstore. Kiss proof, burrito tested, and nice and glossy even without a topper. Very impressed with this new formulation. Revlon has achieved something incredible with this and no other brand has even come close. This seems like it would be a patented formula. It truly keeps my dry lips hydrated just enough and colors wear all day until I remove it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Diane J. from Velvety matte [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bread Winner is a stunning deep red shade that's perfect for date night and it feels like I'm not wearing anything at on my lips (you literally forget it's on!). The finish is extremely matte so you definitely need to exfoliate your lips to rid of any dryness as it will emphasize it. I feel like a lip liner is also a must to really get a crisp outline prior to application as it has more of a flat shape to it. It does wear well throughout the day but it's not transfer proof so you may need to reapply, especially after eating/drinking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jess R. from Semi matte, long wearing finish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this lipstick in the shade 016 ‘Bread Winner’ which is a gorgeous deep pinky red which is totally my style. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened but was pleasantly surprised that it was a regular twistable lipstick (the last lipstick I tried had a little foam applicator and I find them tricker to apply evenly when they are a vibrant shade). On application the feel is soft and pleasant. Once on the lips it does dry down to what I would call a semi-matte finish. I felt it was comfortable on the lips and not too drying unlike similar products I have tried. The pigment was gorgeous and deep and had decent staying power. It did transfer a little when eating, drinking, kissing, etc. but not as much as a traditional lipstick. Overall I really liked this and would recommend if you want a semi matte look with minimal transference lasts the evening.

I’ve used Revlon lipsticks before and loved them. This was nice but not the best Revlon lipstick I’ve tried. The colour gut instinct was lovely and suited my olive skin tone. I would say it went nicely on the lips to start but as mine can get dry i noticed that after a little bit my lips felt parched so not the most comfortable. It lasted a good amount of time on my lips but I had to put some lip oil/ gloss on top to help with the drying feeling it did transfer a little bit but still stayed on and helped so much with the dryness feeling. I would recommend this lipstick to people who don’t have dry lips or maybe put some lip balm a little before applying to help with the comfort. But if you after an affordable long lasting lipstick I would definitely grab this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Linda X. from Feels like I have nothing on my lips [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent the shade 016 Bread Winner to try out, which turned out to be a carmine red shade, exactly the red shade on the bottom surface of the square matte plastic tube this lipstick is housed in. This is not normally a shade I go for but I would gladly recommend this to any red-lip lovers. The formulation of this lipstick is very impressive. Although the finish is matte, it does not leave my lips feeling dry, rather it does not even feel like I am wearing anything at all. It takes a bit of force for there to be transfer but otherwise it does not budge from my lips easily and the long-stay was fairly decent before it started to fade a little. I otherwise had difficulty applying this lipstick exactly along the contours of my lips and would recommend lip liner and/or a lip brush for better application.

The colour reminds me of a beautiful glass of Shiraz and great for a much needed statement lipstick. The packaging of the lipstick is great and overall very simple to use. The lipstick is very Matt and almost dry feeling and I would suggest a clear gloss onto. However it does last and stays on the lip very well so great on night outs and any Occassion you do not want your lipstick to wear away especially a red one. My personal preference would for it to have a little more moisturiser in it to feel more nourishing on the lips instead of dry.

The packaging is really gorgeous though, I love the square tube and that it comes wrapped like a lolly, nice for hygiene etc in this current climate. Overall I was surprised to see another matte range from Revlon , I feel as though the matte trend has been out for a while and people are looking to more hydrated glowy looks. I probably wouldn’t purchase but would recommend for s someone needing something that has staying power like a dancer or flight attendant etc

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think lipstick pigments is something that Revlon has well and truly perfected by now! I got the shade bread winner - which is great for that little bit of an extra pop to a look. It’s just that bit deeper and bolder. It lasts forever and the shade doesn’t falter. However, I’m definitely more of a shine/sheer/gloss/satin kind of lip product person which is where this product fell a bit flat for me. I did feel like my lips needed that bit of extra support with some clear gloss. But that’s just me. I also found that in my novice lipstick ability I also found the product dragged a bit on application so I’d suggest using a brush to apply. But other than a few small things that I’d change or add to make the lipstick work for me, I’d say it’s a good lipstick overall!

The colour is not bad, but it stays on and I wore it morning and night. The Lipstick packaging was just plastic wrapped which looked a bit cheap but I guess it’s better not to have over extravagant packaging that contributes to landfill anyway. Pretty stock standard in terms of functionality - lipstick windups and you apply to your lips. My lips are on the drier side so I always apply a lip balm or lipgloss over the top as I like them feel more moisturised. The shade is a nice dusty rose, and would be flattering for many skin tones. Lip inks are tricky as they can leave the lips feeling dehydrated. If you have dry lips, don’t expect a stain to give you a moisture boost. Colourstay Suede Ink lipstick feels nice upon application, very easy to use and the colour lasts quite long. Good go to for an everyday use, I can’t wait to see what other colour options will be available in the range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trialling the Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick for a few weeks now and i have found that it definitely lives up to the 'colour stay' label as it lasts for hours. I even went swimming with it on my lips and it still stayed on and didn't lose its colour either. It's a matte finish and usually this style of lipstick can make my lips dry and flakey but i didn't have any issues with this one. You do need to apply a little extra force though to get the colour onto your lips and keep applying until your desired colour. I was given a beautiful deep red colour and found that it's a new colour that i will continue to use. A great product that is affordable too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try the Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick, and I wanted to really love it but was slightly disappointed once I gave it a try. To point out the positives; > it was comfortable and easy to apply, as well as wear due to it's creamy consistency. > the colour is the most beautiful and vibrant dusty rose colour (001 Gut Instinct), and does what it's supposed to by lasting for hours. > it doesn't have an offensive or strong smell to it, which is always awesome. The one thing that let this lipstick down was the fact that it was too matte to the point where it felt really drying on my lips and gave them a cracked appearance, which I didn't like. To fix this issue, I put a lipbalm on before applying the lipstick to my lips, as well as a clear gloss on top to prevent the wrinkling from occurring. Not a total write-off. I think this is a very affordable option when looking for a colour to last lipstick; so I would recommend to my friends and family in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tien K. from Better than a liquid lip but not perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: soft matte velvet texture, colour pay off is good after a second coat, first coat is a nice strong tint if you're not wanting such a bold lip, no offensive scent, smaller bullet is good for inner corners, stays for hours and hours, not affected by tricky foods. Cons: dries my lips, lid hard to get off, larger rectangle packaging isn't great for a very small bag with a phone, mistakes stain as in really stain - when I first got it I swatched it on my hand and even with oil, make up remover, warm water and soap, and rubbing with a towel I couldn't get it out of my skin, don't add lip balm - which after 6 hours is tempting to do because your lips will be dry as then it's super messy and makes the dry patches pill/ball/crumbly

I wear lipstick everyday, typically bullet, and have a good grasp of what I personally like. The packaging was really beautiful and very sleek and applying the lipstick was easy as it glided on. It dried quickly and was transferproof as claimed. Initially it felt light on the lips however after a number of hours it felt heavy and crusty. It came off around the inner parts of my lips which felt a bit uncomfortable. I think that for short wear it will be nice but not for a long day. I will use with some lipbalm to feel more comfortable in future.

I absolutely loved the shade, it matched the rose pink undertones in my skin and if anything really enhanced the natural colour of my lips making them look the best they have in ages! I did find it dried down a bit too matte for my liking later in the day and found myself refreshing it with a clear gloss or chapstick, this also transitioned this Lipstick from day to night for me. The colour is a beautiful dusty rose, so fabulous can wear it morning and night. The Lipstick comes beautifully packaged, the colour of the bottom half of the lipstick holder matches the lipstick tone of choice with a black lid which pulls off. the lipstick then windups and transfers onto lips well after a couple of swipes to gain the desired colour. Once on it feels a little too matte for my liking I would need to apply a lip balm or lipgloss close over the top as I like them to look and feel more moisturised. I wore this lipstick for a full day and very slightly transferred a little bit onto my takeaway coffee cup, I had a few appointments and forgot it was on and was pleasantly surprised to see it still on, I did notice it made the lines in my lips stand out which I also didn’t like it’s a shame because the colour is perfect, the wear is perfect it’s just a little too matte for me I like to be able to rub my lips together and this lipstick prevents that if that was to change I would give this lipstick a 10/10.

Upon applying the product on my lips, its staying power was impressive with very little transfer. The product itself though felt very dry and sticky on my lips which I wasn’t a fan of, I felt as though it needed a gloss or lip balm on top for that nice smooth feel. The lipstick was also a matte finish which I don’t like either. I think this lipstick would be perfect for those who have naturally large lips and who love a matte finish and enjoy wearing lipstick all day. For me personally it wasn’t what I look for in a lipstick. Maybe a different colour would have looked better in a matte finish on my lips. I personally like nude lipsticks as I feel they look better on my lips.

Rated 1 out of 5 by gilda s. from The driest of the dry lipsticks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product applies evenly at first, but feels and looks extremely dry on the lips - emphasising any lines and not smoothing over the lips. I don't find the slanted bullet easy to apply precisely on thin lips. It's not very long wearing especially proportionate to how incredibly dry it is, which is strange for a red shade. It feels dry immediately - not just after a few hours wear, reminiscent of a really dry liquid lipstick. Reapplication was a nightmare, it doesn't build evenly and 'pilled' with darker chunky bits forming. The colour tended to darken over time as well.
