I was surprised to see how well it performed. Extremely pleased to see the beauty industry making efforts be more environmental friendly. The packaging is made from cardboard and can be recycled. The ingredients are plant derived formulas, vegan and biodegradable. The tear shaped bar is easy to hold and I was surprised to see how well it lathers up. So I don't need much of the product. I also realised that it washed off quite easily, and I ended up saving so much of water and time! However, you will need to follow up with a conditioner depending on the type of your hair. The Garnier Fructis Shampoo bar can be used daily as it is very mild, unlike the other commercial chemical based shampoos. It smells amazing and can also be used as an all-over body wash, or even as a shave soap. Quite multifunctional, hence reducing usage of other products. So no more clutter in your bathroom or extra plastic bottles. Convenient to use when travelling as well, so you won't need to pack travel size bottles and worry about leaks in your luggage! Overall my hair felt soft, clean and smell amazing. The shampoo bars proved to be great for both hair health and the planet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and fresh [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time I’ve tried a shampoo bar, and was a little bit dubious, couldn’t quite shake the feeling that I was washing my hair with a regular bar of soap… I was in fact wrong, this worked so well and was nothing like I had convinced myself it would be. The scent was lovely and fresh, the texture was smooth and easy to emulsify in your hands or straight on the hair with backward strokes which is made easy by the tear drop shape of the bar. Because there’s no packaging there was no unnecessary fiddling with a plastic bottle which I can find challenging at times. The end result was very fresh and soft hair, not squeaky clean like I had imagined which is great. I would love to see a conditioner bar added to the product line to make it more cohesive, hopefully in the future that will come to fruition.

This product ticks all the boxes in doing that ie. No preservatives, artificial colourants, no silicone and no plastic waste! And all whilst having an addictive aloe vera scent and plus this foams just like any other liquid shampoo. It certainly does hydrate the hair and you don’t have to use too much to get that effect because I think one time I may have gone overboard with the lathering and my hair felt as though there was still some residue. So a little goes a long way with this product! I always use conditioner so I’m keen to add that soap bar to try out in the future. Highly impressed with this product and the consideration and thought by the Garnier team to making this available.

My hair feels so soft after using it and has a noticeable shine to it. It also feels a lot lighter and cleaner than it normally would after using regular shampoo. I love that it is eco friendly and plastic free too. After using it multiple times, I have hardly used much of it at all so I feel like it is going to last me ages. The smell of the bar itself is quite strong but it doesn’t leave an overly strong scent on your hair. In fact, my husband has commented more than once now how nice it smells. I work on the ocean so the salt air can really dry my hair out and I am loving that this bar helps keep it nice and soft.

However, I have come to learn that there are good shampoo bars, and there are not so good shampoo bars. This beauty sits firmly in the great shampoo bars category! It smells absolutely divine, similar to other products in their hair care line. It's fruity, tropical and strong. The scent lingers in the packaging, and manages to fragrance my hair well. It reminds me of being on an island holiday, which is how I want to feel when I need to wash my hair. Since I don't wash my hair very often, usually once or twice a week, I like that the scent lingers for a while. The shampoo bar lathers well, and I felt like it was cleansing my hair well. All I have to do is run it through my medium length hair a few times, and I can feel it lathering up. I like that I feel as though I am not using heaps of product either, which is great as the product claims to contain the equivalent of two shampoo bottles. It also rinsed well, and left my hair feeling smooth. I have a soap tray in my shower, and noticed it dries well. Make sure you let it dry otherwise your bar will continue to disintegrate and it would be a waste of product. I like using shampoo bars as it reduces my plastic consumption, and I hope other brands create bar products!

I am a big advocate for lowering plastic waste in the bathroom, as that is the biggest contributor to the whole house. The shampoo bar is quite large and will obviously last for a while which is also good for my wallet! First of all the Shampoo Bar smells great. It is easy to use and you just hold it in your hands like soap and rub it into your hair until there is a lather of shampoo. Once in your hair, it feels nice and smooth. Once my hair dried I could notice a nice shine to it and it felt very clean. I am sure if you used the matching conditioning mask it would feel any better! The only thing annoying with shampoo bars is they go a bit soggy when left out, so a little metal container which you could buy to fit this shampoo bar would be a good idea!

The smell of the bar is absolutely sensational and the first time I used it, I had to admit that it took quite some time getting used to as I have thick, long hair. Nevertheless, I got used to using this and by the third time I really appreciated the way it lathered my hair and left my hair smelling really good and my hair felt refreshed and clean! I realised the shampoo bar is a perfect product to take with me when I'm travelling instead of lugging a huge bottle of shampoo which I would normally throw up. It's a small item which you can just carry with you anywhere and this will definitely be my go-to product when I decide to go away!

The cardboard box has some very bright cute packaging with lots of information about how environment friendly the bar is. Using the bar itself the first thing I noticed was how great the bar smelt. Figuring out how to yer it in my hair was quiet difficult until I got some lather worked. My hair felt a bit different after use, a little dry it will be interesting to see the long term effects of using the product. But overall I'm really enjoying it so far

First impressions was the bar comes in a recyclable cardboard box and has a strong pleasant scent. The shampoo bar fits in your hand nicely and it was very easy to use too. It lathers up really well and quickly too so you can easily clean your entire hair. It does a good job of cleansing your hair and removing the oil without stripping it of moisture. My hair feels really nice and soft and hydrated.

I use oil on my head so it was a bit difficult to get rid of it Love the fact that no bottles are going to waste. Just place the bar in a soap dish I just hope that it doesn't get mushy over the time in the soap dish. I can use it on my girl's hair too. And its easy to use without wasting extra product. Looking forward to try other bars from the garnier range. Never used a shampoo bar before so yea happy with my use and really glad to be chosen to try this amazing product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little wary of trying a shampoo bar having not had the greatest experiences with them in the past, but I can say I was pleasantly surprised with this one and I might just be a convert! The shampoo bar smelled fantastic and fresh without being headache-inducing (like some other shampoo bar brands). The product works into a lather really easily, a little goes a long way (I would say I use a lot less with this than with regular liquid shampoo, as well!) and rinses out nicely to leave your hair feeling clean and refreshed without any residue. You just need to be mindful to keep the bar in a dry place after use to make sure it lasts. While this product doesn't condition your hair on its own, I would definitely be interested to try if there is a conditioner bar as well. The bar is made from 94% plant based ingredients, which makes me feel that I am doing good things for both my hair and the environment. I also love that the product comes in recyclable packaging and does not create extra plastic waste - an additional bonus to an already great product!

I love the idea that it reduces all the plastic waste, the product is long-lasting and says that it saves two bottles of shampoo! The scent of the bar is so nice, I even had our Australia Post lady comment on how nice it was even coming through the packaging when she delivered it. This bar is deep cleaning, very hydrating and leaves my hair nice smooth and sleek with a nice scent. The hardest thing to get used to with the shampoo bar is that you don’t need to use a lot of product, just back-and-forth on your scalp two or three times is plenty. Sometimes I do use too much because it’s easy to think that you need to use quite a bit to get it up into a nice lather. This product is amazing and I will continue to re-purchase this particular bar!

I won't lie it is interesting to get used to but after the first couple of times i really came to enjoy the use of the bar and actually found it easier than having to pick up a bottle and squeeze it out. 94% plant origin and a cardboard box as its only packaging. It definitely feels extra special knowing you are putting a natural product on your hair and also having 0 plastic waste. The bar lathered up amazingly and left my hair feeling great! With its shampoo bar design, it’s environmentally friendly which I love. The fact that it only comes in a box- genius. This shampoo bar lather very well. I used it twice for each shower and the 2nd time ended up with lots of foam. It left my hair feeling super soft, thoroughly clean and smelling amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Favorite Hair Cleanser - Aloe Vera Hair Food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 2in1 Shampoo Bar is refreshing to use, smells invigorating, and foams really well! It volumizes and strengthens the hair and thoroughly cleanses the scalp. I saw dramatic changes after the second use and was very satisfied. Having thin, dry to dull hair I felt that this Garnier FRUCTIS Shampoo Bar significantly transformed the appearance and texture of my hair. The cleanse really works to wash away dirt, hair care, and styling products leaving the hair ready for another wash cycle. I love this hair care product also for the impact it has on the environment! It's packaged in a cardboard box to eliminate plastic waste which makes it more fun to use. In contrast, I found this 2in1 Shampoo Bar to have a drying effect on my hair strands. It’s perfect for a ‘cleanse’ in removing products and washing away dirt but if you don’t really use styling products in your hair such as dry shampoo, leave in conditioner, hair oils, gel, mousse or heat protectants then you might experience your hair going though a stripping process without have it restored and nourished with natural oils. My hair became very dry, and the texture was rough. I had to make sure to condition thoroughly and not use the hair dryer on high heat or for a normal duration. I like this product, but it does need a quality follow up routine and it mostly suited for hair that uses a lot of other products for styling purposes. I recommend Garnier FRUCTIS 2 in 1 Shampoo Bar 3 times a week or depending on the occasion – possibly once a fortnight alternating with targeted shampoo and conditioning. It’s a nice complimentary addition to my hair routine because the smell is so obsessively nice, it lathers so well, creates an invigorating experience like no other and is soft for comfort! I did struggle after noticing the drying effect and not having the suitable hair products to follow up with this 2in1 cleanse which left my hair in need of extreme TLC. Aloe Vera is meant to hydrate, cool and soothe – in addition to reduce dandruff and hair loss. I can say that I did notice I started using this product when I had dandruff especially at the front around my hair line and after about 4 weeks of trying this product, I no longer have dandruff!!! I love it for my scalp because cleansing away dirt was a concern for me and properly washing away product from my hair without adding extra ingredients like most shampoos is a benefit and I would continue to use this bar once or twice a month because of my hair type which is very fine and needs more moisture. I rate Garnier FRUCTIS 2 in 1 Shampoo Bar 5 stars for satisfaction and overall product quality and would certainly recommend everyone to try this 2 in 1 cleanse + care hair food! It cleanses away excess oil, residue and dirt and leaves hair feeling soft, very clean and smelling incredibly fragrant.

I'm the one who doesn't enjoy hour long showers & like to make it quick and thats why I love this product. It's 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner ( I still apply additional leave in treatment ) whenever I use bottled shampoos & conditioner it takes forever compared to this bar. Sometimes I'm debating whit myself "should I wash my hair today or no " with this shampoo bar I don't even have to think about it. Just wet your hair and start scrubbing. I don't mind the scent but I'm not in love with it either. Would defenitely try and prefer different smelled bars. And finally let's talk package - zero plastic, which is fantastic. It does makes me want to buy soap holder tho because I don't have one haha.

The idea of saving plastic waste was appealing. Shampooing with a bar was a-bit to get used to, however once I did, I wasn't disappointed. The shampoo was fragrant and left my hair feeling fresh. A 94% plant origin shampoo is great, as I feel like I'm using mostly natural products in my hair. Cardboard box is awesome as it avoids unnecessary plastic waste. I was glad to try this product, and will be looking for more zero-waste products in future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having not used a shampoo bar for a long time, I was excited to try the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar – Aloe Vera. It has such a gorgeous fruity scent even in the box and that translates to the hair after use as well! The bar lathered up really nicely when applied to the hair so I was able to get a really good foam to massage and cleanse my hair properly. The shampoo rinsed out really nicely and left my hair feeling clean, light and silky without any residue left on the hair. Importantly, it also didn't strip my hair but actually felt as if it had given my hair some nourishment and treatment. You do have to keep the bar in a dry place after use to ensure it lasts so dont forget to take it back into the shower when you need to use it. I find it to last really well as it lathers up really well so a little goes a long way. I think it would last the two bottle volume as promised. Overall I'm really impressed with how amazing this shampoo bar is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been curious about shampoo bars in general so I jumped at the opportunity to try this one for Beauty Crew. First impressions: the scent is amazing. When I opened my letter box I was hit with this amazing scent even while it was in a mail satchel. It's super easy to use and lathers up quickly - arguably faster than traditional liquid shampoos. You also don't need a lot - a little goes a long way. My hair was as clean and refreshed as using much more expensive salon shampoos - I sometimes struggle with dandruff or dry scalp however this was not the case using this product. The one downside wouldn't have anything to do with the product just the marketing message. At quick glance I thought the "2 in 1" and the "saves two bottles" messaging meant this shampooed and conditioned, but you need to condition separately - which makes me want to try the conditioner bar! Overall love the beauty industry moving towards greener products for the environment - this packaging is cardboard -100% recyclable - honestly I can't fault this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent shampoo bar I've been using this for 6 months+ now, and very happy with it. 1 bar lasts a long time, and very little is needed to wash my short hair. I'd love a product that provided a bit more conditioning, as my hair feels pretty dry, but this one is much better than other bar style shampoos that I've tried.

As opposed to the traditional bottled shampoo i love this new shampoo bar, it is eco friendly as this stops usage of plastic bottles which is so good, i am a big supporter of less plastic use. The bar is big enough to hold while you wash your hair, it is a powerhouse of flavor that leaves your hair smelling so good, my partner always compliments on how my hair is smelling good ;). The bar lasted me over 2 moths of use which is so good as i would have bought so many bottles of shampoo and now i am saving heaps. It hydrated my hair and my hair feels healthy and full of life after usage, loving this to the core!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Shampoo bar [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this bar. Infact my husband loves it more than me since he loves bathing with soap bar. The idea of shampoo bar is just so sustainable. No plastic bottles. Garnier shampoo are good and the quality is maintained in this product too. I only wish they come up with conditioner bar too asap to make this shampoo conditioner duo completed. I would buy it any day. Good for travelling too. I only wish it is a bit curved in shape so that the loss is minimum when putting it in a wet surface or soap case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've heard quite a bit of buzz about shampoo bars and have been eager to try them, especially given how eco-friendly they are. Smells lovely, and was quick to lather (a couple of strokes across the top of my scalp was all it needed). It was also quick to wash off. The bar is small, but would last quite a while given how little is needed for each wash. However, while this is great for a regular clean, I feel it doesn't have quite the same squeaky clean feeling my current shampoo does, so while I'd be happy to switch to this for most washes, I don't think it'd completely replace my current haircare regime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eco-friendly shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first time ever trying a shampoo bar and here is what I thought of it. First impressions, cute little packaging and also recyclable. The Shampoo bar cute little size. The fragrance of the bar was subtle and very nice to smell. Was really easy to use, applying the same motion as like a hand soap but to hair. I found it lathered up quite nicely and didn't feel to heavy on my fine hair. I found it also easy to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. 2-3 motions covered my hair, however I do have thin, fine hair. Overall for a first timer using a shampoo bar, I was pleasantly surprised. Only down size is, I found it really hard for my over the shower holder to hold the shampoo bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The smell!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone that had never used a shampoo bar before I was really excited to try this Garnier Fructis one! First thing that impressed me more was the amazing smell of the product, even when inside the box. Second thing was all the eco friendly ticks that the product offer: vegan and 98% biodegradable formula, recyclable abs minimal packaging (no plastic) etc. The sensation of lathering your hair with 94% plant origin shampoo is just great! At first I was worried if it’s efficacy as I have a bleached and damaged hair, but the formula is so gentle and foams so well that I didn’t feel any residues Kraft behind. On the contrary, my hair was deep cleaned but soft and healthy - of course I need to apply extra conditioning/mask to keep my locks hydrated, but as a shampoo, I would definitely recommend this bar to everyone that wants something that smells and fell amazing and as a plus is a smart solution to a sustainable choice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic idea! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar is an innovative and fantastic product. I love how it has absolutely no plastic waste, which is a huge issue with other products. It does take a bit of getting used to since it's such a novel format for shampoo, but because I already use bar soap I found it pretty easy to get used to. It smells really good as well! I love how they explain the ingredients on the packaging. I find that it performs alright, it did not leave my hair fantastically smooth or anything like that but I did feel like it cleaned it well enough. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more bottles all over the shower floor! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this shampoo bar! Although my hair is quite coarse, it did a great job cleaning through the detangled hair, that unfortunately is my head! I really enjoyed the fresh smell, especially to wake you up in the morning. I used this on my son and my partner used it and they both enjoyed it. I think the only downside is that there is nowhere to put it after you start to use it. I put it in an old soap container I found, but feel like it wasnt the best option. So perhaps next time, or have the option to purchase a storage box, as then it goes like a damp soap bar, I did allow it to dry a few times, but during these busy periods, not everyone remembers to place it in a drier area.

At first, I thought it would not wash out my hair properly since I had applied oil, but just like other products, this one washed my hair excellently, leaving it hydrated as well. I followed the product the hair mask the aloe vera hair food. I also used the product without the hair mask, as the shampoo on its own did clean my hair really well Overall, the product is really environmentally friendly and works excellently leaving the hair hydrated and soft. Great product, will definitely repurchase it again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried and tested various shampoos and my hair often comes out feeling oily or dull, but when Beauty Crew asked me to trial Garnier's Hair Food Shampoo Bar I was intrigued and very impressed! The scent is refreshing and you really feel like your hair is getting a good clean. The biodegradable packaging is also a winner - all I need is a soap holder to keep it in in-between washes. I agree with another reviewer who flagged the "2 in 1" marketing on the product. This is the only downside and has nothing to do with the quality of the product, more brought confusion on a first read that it was a shampoo and conditioner in 1 rather than 2 bottles of shampoo in 1. Overall, I am converted to the shampoo bar life and look forward to further scents being brought out. Will be trying this product along with a conditioner bar to see how it ties in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better for the planet just as good on the hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this bar so easy to use, and once it was in my hair it lathered up just like normal shampoo. It had a wonderful scent, and my hair felt clean and fresh after use. It is important to make sure you follow on with a conditioner after use as it did feel quite drying on the hair (similar to most shampoos). I love that there is no waste, and just putting it in a travel soap case helps to keep it dry in between uses. I hope to see more companies going this way, as it just shows that you can achieve a great product without all the packaging.
