At first I was a little sceptical however I was very happy with my experience trialling this. Packaging is simple and plastic free which I think is so important now days and I am more drawn to companies taking this initiative. Scent is not too over powering and is a nice clean fragrance. Usage is simple and I genuinely felt I needed less product than traditional shampoo and conditioner. Hair afterwards felt just as clean too ! And almost lighter. Definitely will be repurchasing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from plastic free AND super easy to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love that this product is plastic free - makes me feel like i’m doing my part lol i was surprised at how easy it was to lather and use, i struggle with liquid shampoo to distribute it evenly while not using too much. i have been using the bar for 3 weeks now and it’s not even close to getting low, lasting way longer than a bottle of liquid. This makes it cheaper, better value and also better for the environment. i would love there to be some kind of plastic free conditioner option too as right now you have to get some seperate for that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used a shampoo bar before, but it was something that I have really wanted to try so I was excited to trial this one from Garnier. Following the instructions, I was pretty impressed with the shampoo bar, it smells nice and lathers up really easily. After washing the shampoo out, the hair seems to be deeply cleaned and there is no unwanted residue. The packaging has '2 in 1' - I'm not sure if this is claiming to be a shampoo and conditioner, but I definitely needed to use a conditioner afterwards. I really liked the shampoo bar and I think it would be great for travelling, the only downside for me is trying to store it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this shampoo bar as I am conscious of the environment and loved the idea of no waste from this product! The smell of the shampoo bar is absolutely devine - my whole bathroom smelt of it after a day! The shampoo bar lathers up so well which I really liked and it makes my hair squeaky clean. I did find that my hair got oily a bit quicker than usual, but I do have very oily hair so this wasn’t a huge surprise for me as I usually use specialised shampoos. Overall though, I really enjoyed this and will continue using it until it’s all gone!

I have very thick hair which is hard enough to wash with traditional liquid shampoo, so I was very sceptical on how essentially, a bar of soap, will lather like normal shampoo. I was pleasantly surprised on how well this product worked. It foamed up and lathered like any other shampoo, however it did feel a little thinner than a usual shampoo would feel. I found the scent nice and fresh, although a little overpowering straight out of the packet. My hair felt soft and nourished after only a few uses as well. The only annoying thing is having to keep the bar in a dry place when not using it, so I had to use a travel soap container which was a bit of a nuisance. That's a small price I have to pay for environmentally friendly packaging though, so I can deal with it.

I was super hesitant before using this product as I wasn't sure how well it would hold up to traditional shampoo but considered me impressed. The scent is lovely and refreshing and you really feel like it can give you a good clean. I love that it's a more sustainable option to traditional shampoo bottles, and I'm keen to give the conditioner equivalent a try when I can find it. My one point of feedback is that it would be good to have some sort of biodegradable case to hold the shampoo in between washes - you need to make sure it doesn't permanently live in the shower so having a case to hold it in would be super helpful Overall, I'm very impressed and will definitely repurchase - great space saver for travel as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar – Aloe Vera [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that Garnier has taken an active approach to minimising waste. This 60g solid bar claims to be the equivalency of 2 bottles of shampoo - I'm not too sure how accurate this is, as I've only been using this product for approximately 2 weeks. This is my 2nd try at a shampoo bar and I am pleasantly surprised! The product performed very well. The cleansing properties were fantastic and compared well to that of a liquid. It does takes a bit of work to get the right amount of product. A few uses and you'll be fine. :) The only downfall is the hydrating properties, I think I will buy a banana bar when this one is finished. The teardrop shape made it easily to hold and the smell was delicious. I love that the product has 94% plant derivatives and contains no preservatives, silicone and artificial colours. Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone who is looking to try a shampoo bar with normal to slightly dry hair.

I was really drawn to the concept of a bar shampoo, rather than a bottled shampoo. The smell of this product is heavenly - super clean and fresh smelling and the smell lingers on my hair which I'm a big fan of. I wasn't sure what the texture would be like once applied to the hair. Surprisingly, it lathered quite well. It definitely still felt soapy to me, rather than a gel or liquidy consistency like bottled shampoo but I honestly think it got very close to what I'm used to. My only issue was that my hair felt slightly waxy afterwards.

I still think overall though it’s a good product if you like garnier. This shampoo has a nice smell, and is lightweight. I did find using it was okay and application was surprised how it was like using bottled shampoo, lathered well. Overall usage and trying it that’s why i rated it a three out of five.

I don't use bar soap for my body, why would I start using it for my hair? The smell was divine, aloe is such a good scent. The bar lathered really well and appeared to clean my hair nicely - but my overly bleached and damaged hair wasn't a huge fan. I felt more stripped of moisture than my regular shampoo. My main issue was what to do with the soap once its wet - its now sitting in my shower getting goopy underneath (which is why I don't use body bar soap) Although this cleaned my air a little too well, I'm not a fan. I imagine this bar will last me all year and I will likely throw it away before its finished. Which takes away from its not waste purpose.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Smell. Not Easy To Apply [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it for the first time last week. Never again. It made my hair feel dry and brittle. I found lathering my hair with the bar a challenge as I'm one handed, and it took longer and more product to get a decent lather / soap foam to clean my hair. Only plus is it smells lovely, just not suitable for me or my hair. I had to rewash my hair with my regular shampoo to get the dry / rough feeling out of my hair. I feel if the bar was shampoo + conditioner mix it would be much better for hair. I found the bar tangled my hair more than shampoo usually does. Lovely product idea, just not for me.
