Rated 5 out of 5 by clearcrystalwater from Scalp Is Left Zingy & Minty, Refreshed & Detoxed This is very refreshing and cleansing to use for the scalp. I saw something like this in another brand and then when I saw Sukin made one (a scalp scrub) I decided to purchase it. It's got a refreshing minty fragrance and little scrubby bits that work gently but effectively to invigorate and detox the scalp. I love this as I have an oily scalp but I expect other skin types would like this too. I tend to use a shampoo most days as my hair gets oily fast - like usually after 24 hours it starts to lose it's vibe. This creamy based scrub gets rubbed around the scalp in sections, one section at a time and then by the time I've done this I rinse it out thoroughly. Then I shampoo and boy does the shampoo froth up! So this product creates an extreme double cleanse for the scalp and hair. Then after rinsing shampoo out I just condition my hair as normal. My hair is left gorgeously fresh and extra clean and my scalp feels minty and amazing. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to give their scalp and hair an extra dose of purification. This deep cleanses and is not hard to use. It doesn't need to be left in the hair for any amount of time. I just used my regular shampoo too but it does say on the bottle, or suggests, to use a Natural Balance one by Sukin. I found my regular one worked fine but after using this I would love to try Sukin's shampoos and conditioners. I will buy this again when it runs out, I found I used around 30-40ml for my entire head and so it will get used up quicker than a shampoo normally would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favourite product of the Sukin Natural Balance range. It is like a combination of a massage and deep exfoliation for your scalp. The results are shinier hair, healthier looking and feeling hair and a nice clean scalp! I use this product once per week to shed product build-up and unsightly dry skin. Using dry shampoo, other miscellaneous styling products and exercising a few times per week, I find my scalp can have a lot of residue built up by the end of the week. Sukin Natural Balance Scalp Scrub gently and effectively exfoliates and leaves me feeling fresh and clean.

It's basically an exfoliator for your hair, and is a great addition into a hair care routine. I only used it once a week, as I don't use too many hair products in my everyday routine, and therefore didn't need to remove much product build-up. I would probably use it more often in winter, as I get a dry/itchy scalp in the colder months. I imagine this product would be very beneficial for those who experience dandruff. This scrub made my hair feel a lot cleaner and healthier after use. I'm not usually a fan of anything peppermint scented, but I quite liked the smell of this - it made it seem more natural and fresh. This product is one of the pricier ones in the range, but I think it is worth it, because you don't use it as often, so won't need to repurchase often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually I don't want no scrubs but this scalp scrub is one that CAN get love from me. I love scalp scrubs. To be completely honest I don't actually know if they do much for my hair or scalp health, but they feel so good and that's enough for me. As with the rest of this range, this product smells lovely - it has a bit of a minty zing in addition to the light citrus throughout the whole natural balance range. It does take a while to properly apply this product, given that you have to section out your hair to apply it all over the scalp. However, I really enjoy doing this as a bit of a pamper and head massage once a week.

I'm a very active person and have noticed after using dry shampoo / exercising a lot of residue can build up - gross. I use this scrub twice a week and have really felt the benefits. It helps remove the dead skin cells and leaves my scalp feeling fresh and healthy. The minty scent is divine and definitely adds to that fresh / menthol feeling. I would definitely purchase this one again. I also found out recently that because scalp scrubs improve the health of your scalp they increase the rate at which your hair grows - so would also highly recommend for anyone who is trying to grow their hair.

The best Sukin hair care product range yet. I have fine oily hair and it’s hard to find good products that aren’t too heavy for my hair. Think of this more like skin care with exceptionally high quality natural ingredients. It’s like an exfoliant for your hair with an amazing peppermint smell. The grit needs to be well washed out before conditioning, otherwise I found some remained in my hair. After the first use of the shampoo, scrub and conditioner hair instantly felt soft and healthy. Worked best with the Sukin shampoo & conditioner. Even my husband loved using it! The texture was very similar to an exfoliant and was definitely a new experience. It’s a thick texture with fine grains to scrub the scalp and remove product build up and oils. Worth trying!

Firstly, the smell of peppermint is just so refreshing and soothing. Especially after a hot sweaty day! Secondly, when you massage this scrub on your scalp, you could feel the minty freshness on your scalp, which helps with your itchy scalp and cleans all that buildup away. After using the scrub, shampoo and conditioner, all that exfoliating particles will all be washed away, leaving you a clean and "breathing" scalp. My hair routine is now incomplete without using this scrub!! Definitely give this product a go.

It has quite a fine texture, almost like a sugar scrub that you might use on your body. I massaged it in whilst I was in the shower (also tried before the shower but preferred to already be in there) and gave my head a good scrub. The smell is AMAZING, kind of like peppermint and botanicals? It's really refreshing and zingy kind of like toothpaste? So if that would bother you, this isn't the product for you but i LOVED it. It washes out quite easily with a shampoo but you do need to make sure you get in there to get it all out. It's also super affordable so I will definitely be purchasing.

I have short/ bob length hair so it was easy to use. I often get itchy/flaky scalp but never thought to try a scalp scrub I didn't know they existed. It is a grainy texture and has a minty smell which smells nice. I used it alongside the other Sukin natural balance range. To use I just wet my hair and rubbed in the scrub in different sections and then washed it out. My scalp felt very clean and fresh. I will definitely be continuing to use this scrub I think it's great :)

It felt revitalising and worked wonders in conjunction to the shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner range.It felt really nice when massaged into the scalp. It helps clean and refresh after you cleanse your hair with shampoo. Like the other products in the Sukin range, the smell is not over-powering but pleasant. My hair usually gets oily and would require washing on a daily basis but since i've used this sukin range of hair products, I can tell this is really starting to help. This product is very afforable and great size of product. I would highly recommend it.

Sukin Natural Balance scalp scrub has a refreshing fragrance, is made to remove the build-up on the scalp and purify the scalp, and is free from sulfates, artificial fragrances, and harsh chemicals. It did work for my oily scalp and thick hair, the application of the scrub could be time-consuming for thick hair, but thoroughly wetting the scalp before massaging with the scrub made it easier. Used it twice a week with shampoo and conditioner from the same range and my scalp felt refreshed, was clean, and got less oily after few uses.

I had no dandruff after using and it has stayed away with regular use of the scrub. My hair felt light and soft afterwards and I was able to go longer between washes. To make it even better, it is all natural, doesn't contain any nasty ingredients and has the most amazing smell of peppermint. I will be buying this product in future and making it a regular part of my haircare regime. Highly recommend, especially to anyone who regularly uses products that can build up.

However after giving this a try I was rather impressed. I often exercise a lot which means i need to wash my hair more often or use products like dry shampoo for those in between days and i had never really thought about product build up before. It could seem quite confusing to people if you do not normally give your hair many treatments however this felt like I was doing a mini treatment. After trying it I did feel like my scalp felt much cleaner and my hair felt less weighed down and heavy overall. It is a good product to incorporate into your hair routine even if you only do it once a week just to give your hair a bit of a detox and super clean so you’re able to absorb other products better.

Absolutely love it. Even though it took me way too long to get through my thick hair. I've used it once a week and feel my scalp stays cleaner for longer and feels super fresh straight after. Might be placebo because I've never used a scrub before but I'm a fan! But, again, it takes sooooo long. You have to section your hair and massage through each section before rinsing and shampooing/conditioning so just make sure you schedule a long shower.

I had never considered using a scalp scrub however I am so glad I was sen this because I now realise that my regular shampoo was only doing my hair and not actually exfoliating the skin on my scalp. After using this product my whole scalp felt genuinely clean and the experience itself of exfoliating your scalp is quite pleasant. The ingredient in this scrub is mint and it is super refreshing with a great smell. I highly recommend this product. Note: my hair type is colour treated and quite thing and damaged.

I tend to have a flaky scalp, not bad enough to be worrisome but just enough to make me feel self conscious. I used this scrub every couple of days along with the shampoo and conditioner and I did start to see a difference in my scalp, the skin was way less flaky. I also noticed that my scalp has become less itchy too so I will definitely continue to user the scrub as part of my hair and scalp care routine from now on.

It helps with my dandruff, however I'm not 100% sure if it contributes to my coloured hair fading at a faster rate than normal. It was simple and straight forward to use, and I enjoy looking for and using products that, don't include any harsh chemicals. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had not used a scalp scrub before, but I wasn't disappointed. May repurchase from time to time with the conditioner and shampoo from this range.

I have been looking at using one for a period of time and was so grateful I received one to try. This minty fresh scalp scrub was amazing! It was abit of an effort in order to get to the scalp with long, thick hair; however, once I finally got there I feel like it made a difference to my hair washing routine. This product is to be used before you shampoo, which I quite enjoyed. I felt as though it was an effective cleanser. After massaging it in my scalp for a few minutes, it felt invigorating and refreshing. For someone with shampoo/product build up, I think this would be a great scalp scrub to try.

Initially I was worried about how to apply it, but it was easy enough to apply to sections of the scalp and then gently massage it in in circular motions. I would then follow it up with the shampoo and conditioner from this range. I use a fair bit of product and also have a dry scalp so I was pleased that my scalp did in fact feel cleaner and helped remove some product build up.

It never occurred to me to exfoliate my scalp, even though I exfoliate my face, but after doing so, my scalp feels cleaner and fresher than ever. I’m a frequent user of hair spray and dry shampoo, products that I feel really stick to your hair and scalp, so this product helps to get rid of any build up that I miss when I wash my hair normally. Give this a go for that really deep clean!

I found it does clean my scalp and overall my hair feels cleaner than without using this product. However, my hair is long and tick and I found it is difficult to spread and to cleanse, so it definitely takes more time of my routine to use this product but I will continue using it once in a while. I gave it 4 stars because it is time consuming... but actually worth it if you have the time. I would recommend to anyone that wants to try a new product and to complement the use of the Sukin line.

This product is not only nourishing but feels great on your hair and there is a noticeable difference in the build-up from hair products on my scalp. Whilst a great experience, this is a time consuming process and is a bit difficult to get out of your hair, particularly on long hair. However, if time is not a factor then it is a wonderful product to give a go every once in a while, for those treat yourself kind of days. As with all products in the Sukin range, this product is at a great price point and makes a great addition to my hair care routine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the pleasure of testing out this item for the beauty crew trial team and it's been such a great weekly ritual to pamper myself and get my scalp balanced (as a chronic over washer of my hair) I definitely have a lot of residue build up and this has definitely assisted with it. I found it a bit time consuming/messy so I just took one star off for the time factor as sometimes I really am in a rush. As with all Sukin products I love that there are no nasties and the price point is really good/very affordable so, you know you aren't overspending.

Before trying this product, I had no idea that scalp scrubs existed! As such, this is the first time I have tried a scalp scrub and found that it washed out very easily and didn’t leave my hair feeling overly dry like I was expecting. I have sensitive skin, particularly during this time of year and haven’t had any issues using this scalp scrub. The product is also very reasonably priced which makes it a winner in my eyes! I would definitely recommend trying it out if you’re looking for a scalp scrub.
