Suitable for use as cleanser for face and body, Effaclar Micro-Peeling Purifying Gel Cleanser targets pimples on the face, chest and back while also helping to reduce marks. The scientifically proven formula with LHA and Salicylic Acid micro-exfoliates and purifies the skin, helping to eliminate dead skin cells, deeply unclog pores and reduce excess sebum, visibly reducing the appearance of blackheads and pimples. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatly reduced and controlled my breakouts I have a similar experience to an earlier reviewer re: hormonal adult acne at 30. Before my hormonal acne, I previously had issues with dry skin, so I was a little worried about picking this product up and ruining my moisture barrier. Very pleased to report I haven’t experienced stripping, and while my hormonal issues are ongoing, this wash has significantly improved and helped control the acne. I started alternating between my gentle cleanser and this one every second day in the first couple of weeks and have worked my way up to nightly (and morning sometimes if I have a workout). I’ve only been on it for about 5 weeks now so I have a long way to go, but I’m sure there’ll be increased benefits over time in tandem with some prescriptions to tackle the underlying hormonal issues.
