STEP 1: Using your chosen Hair Food Shampoo squeeze, lather and rinse thoroughly. Double Shampoo if required.

I received the Garnier Fructis hydrating aloe vera hair food along with other items as part of the Beauty Heaven Natural Beauty Month trial box. The packaging is a big round 390ml tub with a screw lid. I am a little skeptical of the claims for this product to be 98% natural origin. But it may very well be. The consistency is white and relatively thick, with the smell being quite strong , it's hard to put a fragrance to it, slightly more like a room spray smell which I don't really like. The instructions say that this product can be used 3 ways : as a hair mask, a conditioner and as a leave in conditioner. I ran out of conditioner so I decided to use this after shampooing. I applied a generous amount about the size of a 50c piece to wet hair, working on my ends. I let it sit for a few mins to sink in. Rinse! Dry and style time ! I was very surprised how soft and silky my hair felt after I blow dried and gave it a quick straighten. So all in all I actually did enjoy using this .

First thing I noticed is the smell - you open the lid and get a beautiful refreshing scent that is a dream to apply to your hair. The hair food has lots of different uses I usually use it as a mask but love that it can also be used as a conditioner. The hair food is creamy and the perfect whipped consistency not super runny and not overly heavy. I often find that products can weigh down my fine hair and I didn’t have any issues with this at all. I love that this comes in a big tub that lasts for ages and it’s really easy to get a handful out while you’re in the shower. As always I would prefer a pump pack but this is still pretty easy to use.

Its for normal to dry hair like mine and using it makes my hair feel soft and smooth. It also made it nice and shiny. It smells great and makes my hair feel great. It comes in a large tub so it will last a while which is great value for money. The biggest draw was the smell, so nice. I would recommend this to anyone with dry hair.

It was actually the first item I ended up using from the box as it just smelt super fruity and delicious! The Garnier Fructis hydrating aloe vera hair food comes in a generous 390ml screw top plastic tub and can be used 3 ways;as a conditioner, a mask or as a leave in treatment. The aloe vera hair food is a rich cream like texture and I used it mostly as a hair mask. I applied a generous amount to freshly shampooed hair, waited 2 minutes, then rinsed. My hair was left feeling smoothed, detangled and super soft. Oh, and it smelt delicious! I love that this product is made with all natural ingredients and that it is as effective at making my hair look lush and gorgeous-without all the chemicals! I also used this as a leave in treatment just to smooth frizz and flyaways and it worked well without leaving my hair feeling heavy and weighed down. Fantastic product at a reasonable price and one I would definitely buy in future when this runs out.

I often use hair masks as my hair is very thick and tends to be quite frizzy. I’ve often found that some hair masks leave a heavy feeling in my hair, but it is not the case with this one. The packaging of the product is lovely and bright but the size of the tub is quite big so it is difficult to place on the shelf in my shower. The mask smelled wonderful and fresh. I used it as advised, and immediately noticed a difference as I was rinsing it out. My hair felt so soft and shiny without the feeling of being greasy and weigh down. It is such an affordable product and is often on half price off at Woolworths or Coles and various other pharmacies like Priceline,Chemist warehouse.

I received the Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food to try. The Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food by Garnier is ideal for normal to dry hair, with no weigh down. It can be used as a hair mask, conditioner or leave-in treatment. I tried all 3. The formula is mostly natural origin, biodegradable and vegan, with no silicones, parabens or artificial colourants and the products are also Vegan. Garnier have also made changes to their bottles to make them more environmentally friendly. They have made the bottles recyclable to reduce landfill waste. Great initiative. The formula of the Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food is quite thick however easily spreadable. I used it in the shower as a hydrating mask. I washed my hair with shampoo, added the mask for 3-5 minutes, then washed it out and added conditioner. This left my hair hydrated and managed. I used it as a conditioner, and it was great and then as a leave in conditioner, and it was nice as well, although I had to use more than the recommended dosage as my hair is curly and long.

There are 3 intended ways to use the Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food – as a conditioner, a mask and a leave in. I tried the product one a number of occasions as a conditioner and as a mask. I firstly tried the mask as a conditioner and as instructed, applied it to my wet hair after shampooing. Initially it felt like the product was drying out my hair and I started to freak out a little. The feel of my hair changed instantly upon application. After washing out the hair food my hair felt clean and smooth but still kind of dry. My hair seemed to dry a lot quicker than it previously would. Once completely dry I was impressed with how shiny and clean my hair looked. there was less frizz but I felt that i had lost a bit of volume. I also tried the product as a mask. So after shampooing and conditioning i applied the mask and left it in for 1 minute. I found that this gave me a better result. My hair was again shiny, clean, smooth and the frizziness was minimal. Applying a mask rather than using it as a conditioner resulted in my hair retaining a bit more volume. I'm keen to try the product as a leave in! Overall I'm pretty happy with how the product worked on my hair.

The large tub is also great value for money, and easy to scoop out product, the only down side is it also is easy to get water into the container if you are using it in the shower. I preferred to use the hair food as a mask as I have long dry hair, it left my hair feeling soft hydrated and norished, without leaving my hair feeling heavy or oily. Highly recommended!!

As a hair mask which needs to be left on the hair for at least 1 minute. I usually leave it for a couple of minutes if I am in a bit of a rush but for a more nourishing mask, I like to leave it on for 5 minutes. 2. As a conditioner. Just like a conditioner, you would apply after shampooing, massage it into the hair and then rinse off. 3. As a leave in conditioner. Using only a small amount I would apply on damp hair before blowdrying. I do sometimes apply on dry hair to reduce frizz. I love this hair product. It's so versatile. It's quite nourishing and moisturising for my coloured hair but it could do with a bit more hydration. Overall it's a good product and I like how it doesn't contain any parabens, silicones and artificial colourant. Great product to have in the shower.

It has three uses - it can be used as an in-shower condition, a hair mask or a leave in conditioner, and it is so convenient and flexible to have one product that can be used in three different ways. The product itself is easy to use, and has the consistency of a normal conditioner. It has a light, fresh scent which is highly appealing, and comes in a large tub and is great value for money. My only dislike is that the tub makes it a little difficult to use in the shower, as water seeps in and waters down the conditioner. It works incredibly well to smooth and hydrate your hair. However, overall, I would highly recommend this, as it is effective at hydrating your hair, works well to detangle knots and smooth frizz, and can replace multiple different products in your hair routine.

Gifted as a part of BH’s Natural Beauty Month, this was a great product to showcase, multiuse is great for the environment and is not often marketed by companies. The product itself is more gel-like than traditional hair masks and has a strong, fresh scent of Aloe. It easily spreads through hair and dose not leave a residue when used as a rinse out treatment, as a leave in treatment it does not weigh down hair and is not visibly detectable. It does not feel greasy or sticky but does immediately take down frizz and flyaways. It is not the most hydrating or volumizing hair mask I have tried but would provide enough moister for the majority or hair types. Possibly not ideal for curly, dry or treated hair but perfect if your looking for a hydrating hair mask that does not weight down hair.

My hair is coloured blonde, fine but lots of it so it has a tendency to be dry (especially at the ends), dry at the ends and i'm prone to breakage which results in lots of fly aways. I have used this product as a mask for the last few weeks and found that it has tamed my hair in this wild winter weather. My hair feels so silky after a shower which is great as it detangles nicely even though it has no silicones or parabens in it. The smell is also devine. I love when my hair smells freshly washed even after a few days. I haven't tried this as a regular conditioner or leave in treatment yet but im sure it would also be amazing.

The hair food is a multi use product and can be used as a conditioner, hair mask or as a leave in hair conditioner. During the past two weeks, I've experimented with using it all three ways and they all work wonderfully on my hair. I was initially worried that using it as a leave in conditioner might be too heavy but in fact its not heavy at all and does a great job at smoothing out my hair. The hair food is great because its 98% natural with no silicones or parabens. I've really been trying to switch to more natural based solutions for my hair and so this was a very exciting product to try. My hair is very soft, shiny and smooth after using the hair mask.

I was lucky enough to get this Garnier Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food within the Natural Beauty Month Trial Team goodie box and I absolutely loved this product!! Packaging LOVE the tub - easy to open/close (even when hands are slippery/wet from the shower). LOVE that everything written on the tub is in clear, big letters (no glasses needed!). LOVE that it clearly states what the hair food is designed to do and that it doesn't contain silicones, artificial colourants, or parabens. Hair Food I just want to start with the smell - it is DIVINE (I cannot stress this enough)!! Really refreshing and I LOVE that my hair smells like it post-use. Super easy to use - and it has many ways you can use it (3) - as a conditioner, a mask, or a leave-in product. Left my (usually combination - fine/dry ends, oily roots) hair feeling hydrated from root to tip and although I was initially worried it'd make my hair oilier/faster than normal, it didn't! I kept washing my hair on the same/regular schedule I had before this product, and sometimes even stretched it an extra day between washes as my hair simply didn't need it. Will I keep using it? I really like this hair food and it will be a definite repurchase after this tub is finished. The tub is a big 390ml for $12 and is stocked by Woolworths who regularly have sales on their hair products. The tub is easy to open and close and I like that you can scoop out what you need easily and when you get to the end you will be able to get every last bit out so it won't be as wasteful as normal hair product dispensers are. The only thing I can fault is the labelling on the back of the container. White print on green background and green print on white background, super hard to see. The hair food can be used 3 different ways and I only used it as a conditioner. It's a white colour and smells kind of zesty and fruity. It's easy to work through my hair and I leave it in for 3 minutes and rinse out. There is no gluggy residue after rinsing and I can't smell it once it's rinsed out. My comb glides easily through my hair when wet. The next day my hair is soft, there is no frizziness and both my comb and brush glide through without a problem. My plan is to keep my normal shampoo and conditioner and a tub of this hair food and every other wash to use the Fructis . As most of us know we seem to run out of conditioner before the shampoo, plus this seems to give my hair a bit more nourishment as well. I love that it's Vegan and has no silicon. Made in Germany.

So I get grab some out of the jar and the jar isn't quite solid so be careful not to drop it because I almost did. I grab about two fifty cent pieces size. My hair is slightly pass my shoulders but not much longer than that. The product is white and super soft and feels like the same texture as other hair conditioner as I have used previously. The smell of the product has a lovely citrus, it is really nice. It isn't overpowering which is great because some products are way too strong, it isn't at all. It makes my hair very hydrated and my mid to end lengths are really soft and bouncy and it makes my hair smell really great so I so excited to keep using this product.

My hair can be quite dull / dry and this left it so hydrating and nourishing, and just easy to manage post shower. I loved the smell, it wasn’t in any way over bearing and it was quite subtle, and I love how affordable this product is. The tub is quite big so it will last a few months too. I love that this product is vegan with 98% natural ingredients. I will definitely keep using this when my hair needs a pick me up.

Firstly, I enjoy the versatility as you can use this 3 ways - as a hair mask, conditioner and a leave in product. It contains hydrating aloe vera and is for normal to dry hair. This is a "natural origin" formula and the large tub has a label showing the origin of each of the ingredients. This is a nice feature as it shows that it's not just trying to 'green wash' its products to fit in with the more "natural" trend of skincare and haircare. Although it is a thick consistency for conditioner, it might be a little too thin to use as a mask. I preferred to use this as a conditioner, and found that it left my hair feeling really smooth, soft and shiny. The perfect trifecta! I also really like the fragrance (which is more artificial I suspect). It linger for days which I find doesn't happen with a lot of other conditioners. Rated 5 out of 5 by dimmieloves from SENSITIVE SAVIOUR! This is a stand out mask, especially if you need a gentle dose of extra hydration that also helps to control frizz! I’m very thankful to BH for sending me this product as part of their Natural Beauty Month. I have colour treated hair with a very sensitive scalp. I often lean towards products containing aloe vera to help soothe my scalp, and a natural product is a definite bonus! This product comes in a thick tub that is unfortunately a little large for most shower caddies, but is the perfect way to scoop out a decent amount of product ready for your application. In order to be water conscious I get out of the shower to apply this product, so for me the size of the packaging isn’t a big deal. The formula is thick and smooth, and easily coats your hair roots to tip. After leaving for 5 or so minutes it rinses out easily (but make sure you also rinse your shower floor to avoid any slips!) and leaves hair feeling soft and lightweight. This is a product I will be keeping in my weekly routine to help maintain my frizz and give my colour treated ends some extra nourishment! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with this product and it suited my problematic hair, which tends to be dry, fine and thin. After a few uses, I found that a little is all that was needed. It wasn’t as thick as others I have tried, but maybe that is why I didn’t experience weighed down hair after using it. For such a small price, its multi use - hair mask, leave in treatment and intense conditioner – is real value for money, and especially given that it works! My hair was left soft and smelling amazing! Once the very large pot runs out, I will certainly be buying more.

I was looking for something to help me manage my frizzy, unruly, dry thick hair, and now I finally found one.After using this my hair feel softer, manageable and healthy looking with out weigh down. I have wavy hair.This makes my natural waves beautiful and shiny for days.So it's totally worth it.I feel i don't need any hair styling.This product makes me love to my natural curls. The packaging is simple large tub.It is thick, creamy consistency. This can use 3 different ways.This can use as conditioner,a mask or leave in.But my prefered way to use this is a leave in conditioner.I used small amount of it on my towel dried wet hair applied it mainly focusing mid lengths and ends.It doesn't make my hair greasy or heavy and it smells amazing. I would definitely buy this again and I love to try other range as well.

I have used two other scents from the same range so I was very excited to try the third one. Aloe Vera is one of my favourite ingredient to use on my skin as well hair as it really works well. This hair food comes in a large tub so you get quite a lot of product at a very reasonable price. It's very user friendly, you just scoop out for the amount required for one use. There three ways to use this hair food, conditioner, leave in and hair mask. My favorite way to use this is as mask and conditioner. When i use it as a mask I usually leave it in my hair after shampoo for about a minute to a couple of minutes and wash it. my hair feels really soft, hydrated and gives the same effect that I get after a good hair oil treatment. I love the gentle and very fresh smell that it leaves in my hair after the treatment. It's really subtle and not over powering atall. This would be my favorite scents from the whole range that I have tried so far. I would highly recommend this very high quality yet affordable product. Also makes me feel extra good about it being green and clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Hungry hair Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food has worked wonders on my hair. It gives it exactly what it needs. My hair is dry and brittle. It snaps and falls out so easily. It’s often very itchy and full of dandruff. This hair food has been incredible. Firstly, you can’t go past the delicious smell. It’s so good I want to eat it!!!! Secondly, it’s all natural, so I don’t have to worry about adverse effects on my health or the environment. Thirdly, my hair loves it. My hair has never been so smooth, soft, strong and tangle free. My scalp is a lot less itchy and flaky. I’ve found it really hard to find something that my hair likes and this is definitely it. I’m so grateful for this. It’s also really well priced. It container is super cute too and looks really quirky in my bathroom. It’s a really versatile product and I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cathyartup from Hydrating Hair Food Garnier hydrating aloe Vera hair food is of 98% natural origin and for all hair types. This is not just your normal type hair mask as it can be used 3 ways. It can be used as a conditioner, hair mask or leave in conditioning treatment. I have used it all three ways and have found it to leave my hair so soft and shiny and not weighed down at all. As a conditioner I apply it after shampooing as normal and comb through then rinse. As a mask I apply it after shampoo and conditioner then leave for one minute the rinse. As s a leave in treatment I use it on wet or dry hair distributing a small amount through to the ends and and then styling. The hair food smells really lovely contains no Parabens or silicones or artificial colourants and my hair looks healthy after using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by clearcrystalwater from Generous Sized Pot, Rich Formula! This is deliciously rich and I don't need to use it every day - I normally wash my hair every day. So this can be used a couple of times a week for me - I have fine long hair. I choose not to put any masks right onto my scalp and roots area because I have oily roots anyhow, but if you have normal or dry roots you could certainly put it there. I love how quick it is to use! Just 1 minute as a hair mask! I did leave it in for 2 minutes so maybe that's why I found it to be extra rich. It's versatile and can be used as a leave-in conditioner which I tried and just put it on the tips of my hair where its driest. This worked well but I only needed to use it extremely sparingly. This can also be just used as a normal conditioner where I can rinse it out straight away. It's got a great scent - it reminds me of a packet of fresh jubey milk and party mix lollies from the Natural Confectionary Company. So it's definitely got a sweetness to it's scent. That is noticeable as I've got it in my hair but after rinsing you cannot notice the scent anymore. It comes in a tub - its plastic and large (390ml!) so it's easy to use this generously when using it as a mask. Great for long hair as there is plenty of product and there is no need to use sparingly when using it as a mask. It will last for plenty of times as there is so much. It's a white formula that I scoop up with my finger tips and slather it onto my hair after shampooing. I love that it's of natural origins - 98% of it. It's vegan and has no parabens, silicones and it's called a 'hair food' as it nurtures and hydrates the hair. There is no artificial colours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jewl from Hair Food This is one of my favourite products in the Natural Beauty Month box. It comes in a cylindrical turquoise coloured tub. At first glance you can see that the brand wants you to know how natural this product is. It is vegan, biodegradable, dermatological tested and uses vegetable oil. I have a sensitive scalp so it is great seeing that there are no silicones, parabens and artificial colourants. The tub says there are 3 ways to use this hair product: As a conditioner A mask A leavein treatment I've tried all 3 options and I really love using it as a leave in. When you unscrew the lid, the smell is super lovely and looks more like a conditioner. I generously slather it into my hair and the smell is so lovely I cant stop smelling my hair. Even after washing it out, I can still smell the grape smell which is like lollies. My hair feels super silky and soft. I really like this product but it would've been nicer if it came in a pump bottle.
