Directions

Using the precise applicator, apply lipstick in the center of your upper lip and gradually shade in the rest of your lip. For optimal results, use a lip liner to line lips before applying lipstick colour.

Everything from the packaging, to the formula and overall feel of this lipstick is really nice for a 'drugstore' lippie. It's creamy, opaque and glides on smoothly. On your lips, the texture reminds me of wearing a lip balm - light and slightly glossy. It obviously does transfer, but lasts a couple of hours before there is still a hint of colour that still looks beautiful. I also love the teardrop shape of the lipstick, and the subtle vanilla scent that isn't offensive on the nose or one you can taste. Highly recommend! I'll be turning to this one when I'm looking for more creamy lipsticks!

The packaging is very minamilistic so wouldn't stand out on the shelf but I like the simple design. The lipstick itself is easy to apply and is shaped in a way that you can get your whole lip in one swipe. I really loved the red shade that was bold but not too bold. The lipstick lasts relatively well if you don't eat and drink but once you do you can see the transfer. I found the formula to be quite moisturising and creamy and left a shine that was half way between a matte and a gloss. I might just have to get some more shades.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Apply on the Go [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty happy with this product considering my go to is always a liquid lip, mostly because they are easier to apply on the go, but also because I find they last longer. However, this Rimmel lippy definitely competes! Super easy to apply and touch up- even, in Red!The first time I wore it I thought it rubbed off pretty quickly but the more I have worn it the happier I have become with it's staying power. It doesn't rub off in a weird way- the colour more so fades out. The colour on the tube sis way darker than the actual colour, this was my only concern with the product.

I received shade 200 Blush Touch, it's a beautiful pinky rose colour and it has a gorgeous almost bubblegum scent. This lipstick has heaps of pigment and is very smooth and creamy. The teardrop applicator is absolutely divine and makes for a nice crisp line. This lipstick took a while to "set" without smudging but once it did, it lasted most of the day without drying out my lips. This lipstick comes in a beautiful black twist tube with a colour band so you can see which one is which if you have them all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're after a good, every day lipstick, you definitely can't go wrong with the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Extreme Lipstick! Another winner from the popular drugstore brand, this lipstick comes in a matte black case, and there is a coloured band just under the cap, as well as a sticker on the bottom, indicating the shade that's inside. I love that this glides on with more of a balm feel to it, but is pigmented, like a lipstick should be. This wears quite well, and has a relatively buttery texture. There is some staining on the lips, which means that repplication doesn't tend to be too much work. I use my lips a lot, and I like that this wear well without feathering around the edges. However, it doesn't last for as long as I would like, but for an everyday type of lipstick, or for that quick swipe before you leave the house, this stuff is pretty awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabulous texture [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My main concern with long-lasting lipsticks is that they usually dry out my lips or don't deliver in their promise for long wearing colour. This lipstick does not disappoint! I loved the buttery texture that felt more like a lip balm than a lipstick, which didn't sting my sensitive lips. Application is great due to the slim teardrop shaped lipstick where I didn't feel like I needed a lipliner. The colour stayed on after eating and drinking which was brilliant. The reason I have given four stars is that the only nude shade in the collection 'X-tremely Bare' didn't suit my skin tone at all. It was more brown/purpleish that the nude lipsticks I would usually wear. I love the product however, so will be purchasing the blush pink and reds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the butter smooth formula [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how easily and smoothly this lipstick applies onto my lips, the formula is as smooth as butter. It has intense pigment , with just one swipe you can get opaque coverage without any streaks. The formula is moisturizing and feels really comfortable on the lips. I can sense a slight scent to it but nothing overpowering. The finish/texture of the lipstick is something in between a gloss and a matte so not overly glossy and not matte , perfect for everyday wear. I chose the shade 550 Thirsty Bae which is a toned down red lipstick , which I feel comfortable to wear at work as it is not an over the top bright red shade . The packaging is sturdy and the lid clicks on tight , great for the handbag as do not have to worry about the lid opening and ruining my lipstick in my handbag. The lipstick inside has a tear drop shape which makes it easy to apply to you lips as well as define and accentuate the edges of your lips. I drink heaps cups of tea throughout the day and I found that the lipstick did transfer onto my tea cup and wear off easily. When it wears off it does leave a tint on my lips therefore I feel I do not need to keep on reapplying because my lips still look pretty with the leftover tint. However I did wear this lippy on at the one occasion where I did not eat/drink for quite a few hours and found that it lasted longer on to my lips. I enjoyed the formula and loved how it did not dry out my lips (especially in winter) and considering the budget price, I would not mind picking/buying some new colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Underrated creamy lipstick [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never tried a lipstick from Rimmel before so I was not sure what to expect but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised and now the experience has opened up my eyes as to the possibilities of this brand. I own quite a few high-end brand lipsticks but I am not one to shy away from drugstore brands either. Nonetheless, I am still fairly picky about colour, pigmentation, whether it dries my lips, and packaging (yeah, that matters). For starters, the only drawback about this product is the packaging. It is minimalistic, which I do appreciate, but it is also quite mediocre and easily overlooked. I feel that largely detracts from what is actually a really great lipstick and I hate to think people are missing out on this. I was given the shade 'X-Tremely Bare' to trial, which I was told was a nude shade. The colour of the lipstick is actually a chocolate brown, so I had concerns that there had been a misunderstanding about the colour nude. What I was delighted to discover was that upon application, it is actually quite a nice dark nude - not brown. It enhances the natural colour of my lips perfectly but also gives it a bit of darker depth. It was certainly not brown. However, if you prefer a dark browner shade of nude, that is certainly possible to achieve with multiple layers. I was also surprised by how creamy the consistency was and my lips felt moisturised at all times while wearing it. It did last quite a long time but does fade over time as the day goes on, so not quite as long lasting as its name suggests. Overall, this is a great affordable lipstick that I would be happy to recommend to those on a budget.

The lid clips in an stays on really well not loose at all. Wore this lipstick all day at work for 7 hrs an was still on pretty well by the end if the day. Totally recommend for those busy ladies

I was impressed by how well it maintained throughout the day even whilst enjoying a meal out. My lips remained crack-free despite my being a bit dehydrated - something that other red lipsticks haven’t held up with. It smells divine too which is a bonus. I’d recommend using with a lip liner for a polished finish.

The colour pigmentation is high quality and it comes in gorgeous shades. It’s long lasting and doesn’t smudge, feather or bleed. Classy packaging and a great price, it’s really good value for money. It’s creamy with a nice shine that makes lips look really pretty. I will be buying more

As nice as that all is, I did find that it was not super long-lasting (especially with all the mask wearing at the moment!) and I needed to reapply often. I would recommend fit you don't mind reapplying.

I do have dry lips to begin with so this may have been have been a contributing factor to this. I also found it didn’t last more then a few hours even when extra caution was taken.

But it stops there for me, I have really pigmented lips and this lipstick doesn’t work for me at all. It’s not pigmented enough to give dark lips enough colour at all. I got a light shade so that’s probably why. I think if I got a dark red it will give me a nice natural finish.
