Step 1: Apply Purple Shampoo

Once a week, or whenever hair looks brassy, apply Elvive Colour Protect Purple Shampoo. Use the same amount as your regular shampoo.

Step 2: Leave on Shampoo

Massage into hair and leave on for 1-3 minutes. For grey hair, leave on for 1 minute. For highlighted brunettes, leave on for 5 minutes for optimal results.

Step 3: Apply Conditioner

After rinsing Purple Shampoo, apply Elvive Colour Protect Purple Conditioner to damp hair. Use the same amount as your regular conditioner.


Step
4: Leave on Conditioner

Massage into hair and leave on for 5 minutes. For highlighted brunettes,
leave on for 10 minutes to achieve optimal results.

Directions

Use once a week to complement your regular Elvive Colour Protect routine. Massage into hair and leave for 1-3 minutes before rinsing well. Follow with Elvive Purple Conditioner.

Wear suitable gloves and avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly.

This shampoo does exactly what it’s meant to do, and within a week of using it I already noticed my blonde highlighted hair looks far less brassy. The shampoo is quite gentle and doesn’t leave my hair dried out. The smell of it is absolutely amazing, I would say this scent reminds me of green apples, and it lingers in my hair after I wash it.  A really lovely product which I can’t fault.

Going from using salon products to a mainstream I was hesitant as I love an ashy blonde.  This did not let me down.  I followed the instructions first time and was happy with result.  Left in longer the second time and it was amazing!  Would recommend to anyone with platinum blonde in the heart beat!

I have just had a baby and have highlighted hair so I was looking for a shampoo that could maintain my colour, was easy to use and didn't take too much time. I followed the instructions on the bottle and followed up with the conditioner and found this to be a really good product. To date, I have no brassiness. My colour still looks fresh from the salon which is no mean feat.

Unlike many other purple shampoos, i needed only a small amount as it lathers so well. Works great with the matching conditioner to leave hair moisturised and toned. Love the smell too!\n\n

I left it on for 3 minutes after lathering and after rinsing applied the matching conditioner. My hair had been toned to a lovely ash white blonde colour. I recommend using in the shower as is quite pigmented. Will definitely buy again at this affordable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used both the L'Oreal Paris Elvive purple shampoo & conditioner in conjunction with one another and they worked beautifully together! So , about the shampoo. I have foils and a little grey hair coming through . My streaks always start to look brassy very quickly . I found the shampoo to really tone down the brassy in my hair. I feel because of the shampoos rich purple colour it does more in the way of diminishing unwanted tones than the conditioner - but that's what I want and would also expect. My hair did feel ever so slightly dry after shampooing , however my hair always feels that way before conditioner , so I don't fault it at all for that . The price point on both the shampoo and conditioner is fabulous , I can actually get both for around the same cost as what Id usually pay for just a purple shampoo - so there's another plus ! I will re purchase after I run out of these as it really helped keep my hair looking a very clean blonde with no brassy tone and also my hair was left feeling in great condition . Highly recommend to others .

I've used Fudge, Goldwell, KMS and supermarket brand purple shampoo with mixed results.\nBrassy  hair is a concern of mine.\nIt's a reasonable price, works well, smells good and from a trusted brand.\n

I have thin short hair so I didn’t have to use much product, and the amount that I did use on the first use completely took away all the brassiness. This shampoo left me with such a gorgeous clean blonde tone. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from L’Oréal Paris Elvive Colour Protect Anti-Brassiness Purple Shampoo is a wonderful shampoo for any coloured or chemically treated hair.  The shampoo lathers so well, and really does give the hair and scalp a very good clean.   One wash is enough, unless my hair hadn't been washed for over 3 days, then I washed twice.   The results were great,  no brassiness  in sight and my colour was healthy looking once again, even after just one wash.   My blonde hair was gently and effectively cleansed, the tones were great and I will definitely buy this shampoo again.  It's great value and so good you can buy it at the supermarket.     Just as good as products with a much higher price tag!

I found that with this shampoo - my hair is feeling soft and manageable and the blonde is brighter with not a hint of purple. It also doesn't leave my hands dry and irritated like other purple shampoos have in the past. WIN/WIN.

Having highlighted hair and being about 4 weeks since my last visit to the hair dresser by hair was turning a lovely shade of brass when I first tried this so it was perfect timing. As I have quite thick hair, I normally have to use quite a lot of product but this was not the case with this shampoo as it lathered up really well and was easy to spread through my hair. I followed all instructions and left it in for the recommended 3 minutes & followed up with the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Colour Protect Anti-Brassiness Conditioner . After the first use it had almost completely removed the brassiness! My hair looks a lot fresher, fells super soft and smells absolutely amazing! Will weekly use this would definitely keep the brassiness at bay in between appointments.

My hair does feel a little dry after use so I would use hair masque after using the purple shampoo. Overall I this is a very good  affordable purple shampoo that does what it says.

It left my hair super soft and smooth and reduced the brassy tones. It also has a pleasant smell that’s not overpowering. Will definitely purchase in the future.

This shampoo delivered and whilst it was a bit drying when used with the conditioner the hair is left with ok texture and no brassy tones

The L’Oréal Paris Elvive Colour Protect Anti-Brassiness Purple Shampoo isa great purple shampoo for maintaining a nice shade of blonde on me. \n \nWhen I use a purple shampoo, I also want it to thoroughly clean my hair, and this L’Oréal does a a job good of that for me, so big ticks of approval. After washing out the shampoo, I was really happy to say my hair didn’t feel dry or stripped at all. My hair felt soft and smooth. \n \nI have enjoyed using this purple shampoo and will continue to get on using it. With 200 ml of product is a great budget friendly purple shampoo which performs well and should be a staple product for blondes. \n\n

I find that they don't reduce too much brassiness and don't leave me with ashy hair but I was really surprised with this. The purple shampoo is dark enough to help neutralise orange tones without turning my hair purple. I did find that I had to apply it for longer than my salon shampoos to get the same result. I like the convenience of being able to pick this up at Priceline, rather than having to go to a salon to purchase it as well as it being half the price. The only drawback I found with this was that it does have a strong fragrance.  If you are sensitive to scents, then I would skip this. I liked the packaging. The bright packaging makes it stand out on a store shelf.

Only downside is it makes my hair frizzy but nothing my usual styling products won’t fix. Very happy with this one. It makes my hair feel so soft.

As a cheaper alternative to salon shampoo and conditioner sets the price range is good. It does tone the colour down somewhat. It isn’t as strong as salon shampoos but it does do what it says. I would recommend for those on a budget. Personally I will stick my my salon ones as I like my blonde to be silvery and this one just isn’t strong enough to offer the results I am after.

I did find the purple colouring was very strong and left me with purple hands in the shower - but nothing a little extra scrubbing didn’t remove. \n\nI do think the product tackled the brassiness I have been dealing with but I did find without a strong conditioner it had a very drying effect on my hair. \n\nFor the price is a great option to give purple shampoo a go.\n

It cleans the hair quite thoroughly and has a very nice scent. My hair was nice and soft after using it, and felt nourished and not so dry, as it usually is, which was quite lovely. \n\nMy hair always tends to look quite orange after colouring, and definitely needs to be toned with a purple shampoo, even a couple of weeks after. This shampoo is a must to neutralise the brasiness and yellow tones in highlighted hair as it certainly delivers on those claims.  \n

It's keeping my hair blonde,  no brassy onange colour.  Also it smells beautiful and you don't need to use alot. I feel like it's living up to what it says it offers.

Lathered well and did not smell like chemicals. Quick and easy to use and great smell. Very affordable given it should only be used weekly. I followed this product by using the matching conditioner.
