Rated 5 out of 5 by from All heat styling needs this product Absolutely love this heat protectant, we use it in the salon daily and I have two bottles at home just incase! This product smells amazing! You'll be in love with it from first use! Because Extinguish is a spray and not an aerosol you can use it on both damp and dry hair. The argan oil infused within the spray aims to moisturise the hair strand to redue the appearance of frizz. The heat protectant factor in this product is a huge 240 degrees (most hair straigtners maximum tempreture is 210-230 degrees), this ensures you can't overheat, burn or damage the hair whilst heat styling. This heat protectant also reduce damage from the suns UV rays and humidity caused by external factors such as weather. Extinguish is light and absorbed into the hair with ease it leave a lovely texture on the hair without feeling heavy or oily. Honestly try this product if you're in the market for a heat protecant.

He squirted it liberally onto my hair and then dried my hair with the hairdryer. This product gave my hair thermal protection and came out of a trigger style squirt top. I have a caring hairdresser so what he does to my hair and what he uses on my hair - well, then I know it's going to be good. This does protect my hair and if I was in the market for a heat defence spray then I'd buy this. My hair feels protected from the drying heat with this in my hair.

When I bought my Ghd the stylist suggested extinguish for me as you don’t need a lot and it leaves no residue. The bottle is easy to hold and the nozzle easy to use, the fragrance is fresh and pretty and not overpowering and the best part is after spraying in my hair and using my straightener I cannot feel any trace of it in my hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t weigh hair down This product is great! I never used to use thermal protectors (don’t judge me) coz I couldn’t find one that didn’t make my hair feel sticky and heavy! I got a free sample of this from a hair expo and I’ve never looked back. It leaves hair really smooth, soft and shiny for that perfect hair flick! You can really spray on as much as you want to wet hair and it always drys really nicely! I use it before just blow drying and then again before straightening or curling! It also smells nice but isn’t overpowering like some styling products!

It can be used on either wet or dry hair- I used mine on dry hair and it didn’t weigh my hair down, it didn’t make my hair tacky or sticky and it went on like a light mist. The smell is so lovely and I found once I had straightened my hair, it was so smooth and sleek and had a healthy shine to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous hair protector The De Lorenzo Defence range is great. The Defence extinguish thermal spray with Argan oil is an essential when using heat tools on your hair. I have the 200ml bottle that has lasted for a really long time and it is still going. It has a trigger spray that has good even coverage and a locking mechanism that disengages the trigger spray when not in use. I always spray this heat protector on damp hair then blow dry then follow with my heat tools. My hair looks smooth and glossy and feels really well protected and undamaged, when it's styled. It has a very light fragrance and feels very natural. I like that it is environmentally responsible, has plant based ingredients and is Aussie owned.

I've noticed a huge difference in the health of my hair, it's not as damaged and seems more nourished. I love the light scent, and how easy it is to spray throughout the hair. It doesn't weigh my hair down and doesn't feel greasy. I'd definitely repurchase this product, it isn't too expensive considering the bottle lasts ages!

It detangles, conditions and doesn't weigh hair down. It's light enough to use moderately to very much for all hair types. It's one of the best heat sprays you can buy. I highly recommend this high quality product to anyone who uses heat tools sometimes or often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential for those who use heat on their hair frequently This has become my HG for both protecting my hair and getting a blow dry & straighten that last two days I'm currently growing my hair out from short, so protecting my hair and keeping it in the best possible shape (while still having some sense of during the horrid growing out phase) is essential Because I have short hair I spray it on the mid to end lengths only to avoid oily roots, after shampoo, conditioning and towel-drying my hair. I comb it through to make sure the application is even When it's dry my hair is really soft and shiny and my blow dry/straighten lasts two days. And the comforting thing is knowing I'm protecting my hair as well.

I have fine hair that can be weighed down by products but i find even if i absolutely drench my hair in this, it still doesnt weight my hair down and feels so light. It sprays out easily to coat the hair and has a really nice scent that isn't too overpowering. I'm on my third bottle of this and since starting i have noticed a huge difference in my hair. It's always so smooth after using drying and i have less split ends and breakage. Worth every cent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protects my hair I really trust this heat protection spray because it's stopped my ends from going dry and split from heat styling my hair with hairdryers and straighteners. I really have noticed the difference this makes when I use it compared to when I don't use any protectant. Unlike others I've used in the past which have also made my hair stiff like hair spray this one doesn't do that which is great. It smells lovely but it's not too strong and over powering. I find that it also leaves my hair more shiny and soft. I also like the spray bottle it comes in as I find the trigger has a fine mist making the distribution of the product even.

I have found that not only does this product offer great heat protection but also leaves if very smooth, soft and manageable but is not at all heavy on my hair. I have found other heat protectants leave my hair oily especially the next day but certainly not this one.

Split ends and breakage are no more.

This heat protectant leaves your hair feeling sticky and heavy. The smell is average also. The packaging is nice and red which makes it easy to find on the shelf. I would not purchase this again. It was a little disappointing as I have only good things to say about every other delorenzo products I have tried. This one was a thumbs down for me. If you have thick hair this product would weigh it down too much.
