Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have a slight obsession with matte liquid lipsticks and am always very keen to try a new one. I am happy to say that this one was really great!\n\nI tested shade 35 Creator which is a very bright purple. This is not my usual shade but surprisingly I actually really liked the colour and it suited me well. It definitely wouldn't be a colour for everyone though but they seem to have a decent shade range so there is likely one for everyone.\n\nThe packaging is quite nice, simple but pretty, with the tube being the colour of the lipstick shade you have chosen. The applicator is really nice and allows for a very smooth, even application. \n\nThe formula for this is very thick, and I suppose 'inky' as the title says. I would recommend very careful application as it is very hard to fix one it has been applied. The coverage was really good, one coat was enough and I had no patchiness at all. This was impressive as purples are usually a very hard formula to get right and patchiness is the norm, so I was very happy that this was different. When you first apply a coat it feels very sticky for a good 5 minutes after. This is due to it taking a while to completely dry, likely due to the thickness of the formula. I would try to avoid rubbing your lips together whilst it still feels sticky as it can still transfer a bit during this time. When you no longer feel the stickiness it ends up feeling very light, especially for a matte lipstick. Usually these can be very drying but I found it was comfortable to wear even after a few hours. \n\nOnce you have applied though, it is not likely to budge anytime soon. I can honestly say I would struggle to think of another similar product which lasts this long whilst still feeling comfortable to wear. I really tried getting it to budge throughout the evening, eating oily, spicy noodle soup, having several drinks and still nothing. It maybe came off around the very inner part of the lips but it still looked like I had only just applied it. It definitely has the staying power to last through a long day or night and shouldn't need reapplying even after eating. Though should you need to apply another coat, as long as you wait until it is completely dry first, a second coat applied smoothly with no problems. \n\nWhilst the staying power is great throughout the day, it does mean that it is very tricky to get off when you want it off. Oil based products which I would usually use to remove similar lip products have little effect as does a makeup wipe. I had to use a combination as well as a lip scrub to get it to budge and even then there was still some light staining, though this tended to be gone by the next day (and was likely due to the bright purple shade).\n\nOverall, I genuinely do like this product and will be purchasing a couple of more wearable shades to try as well. The comfortable feel and the staying power really sell this to me as it would be great to wear throughout a work day or during a night out. I would definitely recommend checking this out if you like matte liquid lipsticks, but don't want one that is too drying.  \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have been wearing this liquid lipstick consistently for the last few weeks. I have it in the shade number 05 'Loyalist', I initially thought this would be a pinky nude colour which is my favourite kind of shade but it definitely pulls a bit more light pink than nude and I felt that it did not suite my skintone (medium with yellow undertone), in saying that though it is a beautiful colour and perfect for the summer! The product was quite thick and creamy to apply. I would say that it is not as drying as other matte liquid lipstick formulas, I found it comfortable to apply and comfortable to wear throughout the day/night. On application it feels quite sticky like a gloss, but despite that I did the transfer test and it was definitely transfer proof! Although it did dry a bit more the longer I wore it there was still that slightly tacky feeling on my lips. What I did not like about this product however was on days that I had dry flaky lips, I felt this accentuated it a bit more, in saying that though it may have been the colour itself that did that. This liquid lipstick definitely lasted long! I work 12 hour shifts and did not feel the need to reapply. I would recommend this product for those ladies who likes the look of a matte lip without the "suck-your-lips-dry" feeling, I would also recommend it to those who have no time to constantly touch up their make up and reapply their lipstick during the day but would still like to look human by the time they get out of work because 2 words - 1. staying 2. power!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am not usually an avid lipstick or lipgloss fan, but this product may have converted me. I was so surprised with the lasting nature of this product. As I don't wear lippy often, I struggled to apply this with the shape of the applicator. I found a small amount that was not within the lip line was EXTREMELY hard to budge- but for the pros who can apply this well, the staying power would be a bonus! The matte finish was something you would have to get used to- I'm not sure it is a trend that will stick around for generations to come. I applied a little gloss from another product to give it a little lift. Overall, the product does what it claims to- it has an INTENSE colour, has a soft matte finish, and has SUPER STAYING properties! I'll be purchasing the nude version of this in the future!

It was my first time wearing this style of lipstick and I was very impressed, as were my friends. \nIt survived the duration of a few girls nights out with out any reapplying. I was worried it would be hard to remove, however my make up wipes did the job.\n\nApplication was easy and fuss free. I actually think the wand is fine as it is, the shape of it was well suited for my lips.\nThe product applies glossy and sets to matte and takes a few minutes to dry. \nI expected it to dry out my lips but it didn't. \n\nThis product is excellent value for money.\n\n

It has great colour pay off with one swipe without being thick, gluggy and sticky. \n\nThe longevity of this lipstick is also a plus! For someone who doesn't wear a lot of lipstick purely because I'm too lazy to reapply, this formula is fantastic. It withstands meals and drinks without any problems. \n\nI tried the colour 05 Loyalist. It wasn't the right color for me my skin tone, even though it looked great on my hand but I am super keen to try some of the other color options!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I tried this product through BeautyCrew's Review Crew. The shade I tested was #35 'Creator' which is a VERY vibrant purple colour. Unfortunately, I really didn't suit this shade. It clashed majorly with my red hair and it's not a colour I would ever choose for myself.\nAll that aside, the quality of the formula is very high. The product is called 'SuperStay Matte Ink' and that is most definately what it delivers. I struggled to remove it even with makeup remover after a full day of wear! It has a perfect matte finish too. Word of warning though..... make sure to let it dry completely before applying more coats, otherwise you'll be left with clumpy, sticky lips. Personally, I find Matte Lipsticks dry my lips out terribly, so I would also suggest applying a light coat of lipbalm before using this lip ink.\nOverall, this product does deliver what it promises. I'd be interested to try it out in a colour that suits me better. I'd recommend this product to anyone who loves matte lips and/or enjoys lip products with super staying power.\n\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from There are some things I loved about this product and a few things not so much. Firstly, who doesn't love a long lasting lippy that is super easy to apply?!? Apply on your way to work and do not have to think about it. I found for me though that I would end up with almost just the lining remaining after a shorter than expected amount of time, so reapplied more often than i would have expected. For me, the Heroine colour (number 25) is a mix between orange, red and pink, although from the packaging you would be expecting more of a red, so just be careful what you wear with it. Also be sure to let the first layer completely dry before applying a second coat as it can be too thick but one layer is not enough. Only 4 stars as i did expect the colour to last longer than it did. Easy application gets a 5 of 5 though!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The colour that I chose (Lover, which turned out to be a light and bright bubblegum pink) didn't end up being flattering for my skin tone but I otherwise really loved this lipstick! The colour is highly pigmented and stayed on all day. No matter what I did, it didn't budge at all! The cupid's arrow applicator also helped me achieve the right amount of lipstick on my lips and with precision. The first time I used it, I found it surprisingly sticky but once I gave the formula some time to dry, it became a lovely matte colour.\n\nThere is also a very intense scent that reminds me of vanilla cake frosting but it disappears when you apply the lipstick. \n\nAlso a tip for removing it from your lips: I find oil-based cleansers work the best.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was lucky enough to get this liquid lipstick to trial. I often forget to wear (or don't have time to apply) lipstick every day, but it's one of my biggest make up vices, and finding a great lipstick is such a mood-lifter.\nI was impressed with the shade being true to the packaging (although I can't remember the name of the shade I trialed), and the applicator is nice, with the pointed end allowing precise application, and not needing to use liner to get a clean line is one of the perks of liquid lipstick. The product applied well, and is very pigmented.\nIt does take longer than my favourite liquid lipsticks to dry, as it felt tacky for 10+ minutes after applying even a thin layer, however saying that it did stand up very well to me going out for lunch and drinks.\nMy only complaint is how difficult it is to remove; even with an oil cleanser it was noticeably much harder to remove than most of the other liquid lipsticks I regularly use.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trial and error ladies!\n\nIf your first attempt follows with tacky lips, try again!\nI got this in the shade 20 Pioneer. I used this alone and over a bit of lip balm to smooth out on drier days. Coconut oil would not remove this alone with 2 coats! Make sure you wait for your coats to dry before applying another to avoid smudging buildup!\n\nPros \n-Amazing wand that makes application so much easier!\n-Stays on for a night out with sweating/eating/drinking!\n-Colour comes out the same on lips as does with swatch!\nThe real hero is the wand and pigment power!\n\nCons \n-Dries too quickly if you don't line lips first and boo boo!\n-Can make lips look drier!\n-Formula feels like it can be hard to spread at times especially to touch up!\n\nOverall great product! You can even apply it lightly with some balm to make a long lasting stain if you want to change it up!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I received this product as a trial through beauty crew. \nI prefer wearing nudes or bright reds usually, but I tried the plum colour one night at a friends party! \nThe consistency was great, it provided an even coverage and the shape of the brush meant I achieved the perfect lip shape.\nThe only negative I would say about this product is it's smell, which I thought was a little different. \n\nI would recommend this gloss to a friend as a party product!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I got this liquid lipstick in shade ‘Lover’. I was instantly impressed to find that the colour is very true to the packaging, and the formula is very pigmented. Because my lips are quite red, lipsticks often appear too pink because the formula is too sheer, so it’s awesome to find a shade that actually appears and applies in the shade I pick. This product goes on smoothly and if by far the most comfortable long-wear lipstick I have worn. But it isn’t a lipstick that can be applied without looking in a mirror. It can appear a bit patchy, so extra care when applying is needed. It smudges quite easily when wet which wouldn’t be that bad if it was easy to remove. Even a little smudge while wet needs proper makeup remover (with oil) which is frustrating if trying to do a quick touch up. But overall I would recommend and will personally be repurchasing in other shades! The comfortability far outweighs the extra effort needed for application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the maybelline New York superstay matte ink. It does exactly what it says; lasts a very long time. I loved it, so easy to apply especially with the wands unique shape. It was easy to line the lips with it then just fill them in. Comes in 10 shades; love all of them!! The matte lipgloss has a very intense colour. After I would use it, I would apply a bit of lipbalm as I found the lipgloss to be a bit dry. Very affordable and it's a long tube so it'll most likely last a very long time. What's great is that you won't have to touch up... It's matte. Would recommend it for people who are looking for a variety of shades and long lasting lipgloss.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well, it's certainly long lasting.\n\nI have shade "Pioneer" which is a cool toned true-red. The formula is inky, as the name suggests, the application is somewhat tricky as it's quite sticky and it takes time to get even coverage. Once on the lips it stays sticky for a while before drying, and in case you're tempted - DO NOT rub your lips together, it will ruin your hard work. Once completely dry, there's little to no transfer of colour. However, it does not survive a make-out sesh, I left my boyfriend red-faced, literally.\n\nBut holy cow - they staying power of this lipstick is intense. After wearing it for 10 hours, eating two meals, drinking several cups of coffee and working out it was still on. There was minimal loss of colour on the inner side of the lips. I then jumped into the shower, washed my makeup off and used a face scrub as per usual. But when I jumped out, much to my horror, the lipstick hadn't budged. So I use a makeup remover wipe, it removes a little, I then use a lip scrub, it removes a little. I grab out my cleanser again, it removes some more, and then finally my face scrub again which removes most of what was remaining. I even had pink-tinged lips the next day. \n\nI have liquid lipsticks that feel better on, but I have never seen one with this kind of staying power, so for that I will give it 4/5 stars.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I tried the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink lipstick in 50 Voyager which to me is like a deep wine colour. What stood out to me the most was how pigmented it was! The applicator was like a diamond shaped end that glides on with ease. There was a lovely scent to it like lollies! The matte look didnt even dry my lips out, the product itself comes off wet and dewy but dries to a lovely matte.\n\nWhat gave me the most trouble was trying to wipe it off by the end of the day. It really is long-lasting- I tried baby wipes to micellar makeup remover wipes which was a struggle! In the end I used some MAC makeup remover wipes which were heavy duty and removed them in an instant!\n\nI would love to try the other shades it comes in!\n\n

It is very easy to apply and glides over the lips for a smooth application. The texture of this liquid lipstick is different to most other liquid lipstick I've tried as it's slightly sticky. On the down side, this stickiness doesn't seem to dry down completely, however, the formula is still very comfortable and it didn't make my lips feel dry AT ALL.\n\nI have this product in the shade "Heroine", which is a beautiful orangey red colour. This shade is very vibrant but I did find that it needed a lot of work to make the colour apply evenly as it can be a little patchy. However, once it's on it looks amazing and it won't budge. The applicator is also quite nice because the small tip allows you to be precise around your lip line. \n\nOverall, I would recommend this product for anyone looking for an extremely budge-proof and non-drying liquid lipstick that's going to last them a whole day without needing to touchup. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was lucky enough to trial the colour "Romantic". The tube is in vibrant barbie pink, and when the colour goes onto your lips, it's one of the most flattering and wearable pinks out there, not too cold not too warm, suitable for a wide range of skin tones. The pointed applicator is very easy to go into the corners of your lips and the hole in the middle picks up enough product for one application. It dries down to a semi-matte look, however if you want a more matte look, you can first apply the product onto you wrist, and then use fingers to dab the product onto your lips, this will allow you to build up more layers of colour and have a fuller lip look. The pleasuring sweet scent is similiar to the smell of NYX's butter gloss, the better thing is that this one does not fade away. Nor does the colour, the colour lasted from around 1pm to 7pm, and even after dinner, there was still a beautiful rosy purple stain left on my lips. Overall, this is a really budget friendly and price worthy product, I would definitely recommend it to those of you who are looking for a long-lasting and hydrating(compared to other liquid lipsticks) lip formula!!

If you're looking for a 'stay all day' product, look no further!!! \nAt first I was a bit skeptical because the product appeared to be very patchy upon application, but after a little time to set it was  it as smooth and consistent as ever!! \nThe only down side to this product is that because it lasts all day it is incredibly hard to take off!!! I tried everything and still had a ring of lipstick around my mouth!\nOther than that, I would highly suggest investing in this product.\n

The coverage is great too, one swipe and my natural lip colour was gone.\nIt's immediately matte, has a slight sticky-ness to begin with, but it will dry down after a few minutes.\nThe pointed arrow applicator is great, it eliminates the need for a lip liner beforehand and makes it really fast to get on your lips. I have a really prominent cupids bow too and it wasn't a problem being precise around that area.\n\nThe SMELL THOUGH. It smells like vanilla frosting - and honestly its pretty hard not wanting to lip the product off your lips (although it tastes like nothing).\n\nI have the colour 50 'Voyager' - it looks like a brown toned red on the outside of the component, but the colour is more on the pinky red side. \nIt made my teeth look super white which was awesome - Definitely a cheaper dupe option for Jeffree Stars 'Unicorn corn' blood!\n\nI rated this 4 stars however because one of the drawbacks is how hard this colour is to get off. The name stays true to the product - it really is like a ink on your lips!! Makeup wipes will not get it off - definitely opt for a lip scrub or an oil-based makeup remover!\nHowever - a massive plus is that it is definitely kiss-proof and food proof, does. not. budge.\n\nI would recommend this lipstick definitely for any events, parties or even and 8 hour workday as no touch ups are needed, not so much for short-term wear as its hard to get off.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Such a beautiful lipstick. It glides on really smooth and smells amazing. \nI have the colour "Loyalist" and it is absolutely beautiful! You don't need much to cover both lips which is a bonus. \nI also had no issues with it smudging or drying out my lips either. \nI would 10/10 recommend this product to my friends and family!\n

It is easy to apply, has a  smooth texture and I love that I only had to use a little ink to cover my whole lips .\n \nIt doesn’t dry the lips and it doesn’t smudge \n \nThe colour stays on strong  from the very first application and doesn’t wear off too easily either.\n \nOne down side is it is a bit sticky,  although even after I used a tissue to remove the stickiness the colour never lost its vibrancy, it stayed on and remained striking.\n \nI would definitely buy it !  and I would definitely try the other shades!\n \n

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sticky formula I have a few shades of this lipstick and although the colours are very nice I find the formula way too sticky for my liking. I don't find that it even dries after a certain amount of time. I still wear them as I love the colours but it's just that stickiness that I don't particularly like. I also find that if I know I'm going to be wearing this lipstick at night time for a night out that I have to keep applying lip balm throughout the entire day prior to applying this lipstick as it also is matte and shows any cracks and dryness and enhances the appearance of any dryness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I personally didn't really enjoy this product, I found it was dry on the lips and it didn't look that great on the lips as it sunk into the cracks and creases in my lips. I got the colour that is in the picture and I just found it didn't look that great and I have tried better and just as affordable matte liquid lipsticks.

It may seem super sticky and viscous in the beginning buts its a great find for days when you want you lip stain to never come off during long work days. \nThe only issue that i had is it takes super long to come off even with a make up remover, and wear s off on its own.\n

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I received the shade 25 Heroine to review. It is a neon orange-red that applies a bit patchy, taking a few swipes to reach full opacity. The formula doesn't dry down completely, feeling a bit tacky even after an hour, but not so sticky that it is uncomfortable. It has a strong artificial scent that I can't quite put my finger on. The wand is an interesting leaf shape that makes it easy to apply. I'd recommend trying the other colours.
