Aptamil Gold+ Colic & Constipation is a specialty infant formula designed to nutritionally support babies with colic or constipation.


  • Broken down (partially hydrolysed) formulation
  • Helps manage the symptoms of colic, and promotes softer and more regular stools
  • Nutritionally complete for babies from birth to 6 months, or as part of a mixed diet from 6-12 months

    Aptamil Gold+ Colic & Constipation is a premium specialty infant formula suitable for infants experiencing colic and/or constipation. Specially researched and developed, it contains ingredients to help ease symptoms, reduce episodes of colic, and encourage softer and more frequent stools.
    • This formula is gently broken down (partially hydrolysed) and contains ingredients specially designed for the dietary management of colic and constipation
    • Supports the reduction of colic episodes, and promotes softer, more regular stools to help manage symptoms of constipation
    • Nutritionally complete for infants aged 0 to 6 months, or suitable for infants aged 6 to 12 months as part of a mixed diet
    • 900g tin format
    Aptamil Gold+ Colic & Constipation is not suitable for general use and should be used under medical supervision. 
    Not suitable for infants with confirmed cows' milk protein allergy, galactosaemia, lactose intolerance.

    Warnings

    Breast milk is best for babies. Before you decide to use this product, consult your doctor or health worker for advice.

    Follow instructions exactly, prepare bottle and teats as directed. Do not change proportions of powder except on medical advice. Incorrect preparation can make your baby very ill. Suitable from birth. Infants over 6 months should be offered foods in addition to infant formula product.

    Dental Hygiene: Putting your baby to bed with a bottle can cause tooth decay. A cup can be introduced to your baby at around 6 months.

    Aptamil Gold+ Colic & Constipation Infant Formula is not suitable for general use and should be used under medical supervision. Not to be used for infants with a diagnosed cows' milk protein allergy.

    Do not use if foil security seal is damaged or missing.

    Hydrolysed Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Vegetable Oils (Antioxidants (Mixed Tocopherols, Ascorbyl Palmitate), Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin)), Glucose Syrup, Starch, Short Chain Galacto-Oligosaccharides (Milk), Maltodextrin, Lactose (Milk), Long Chain Fructo-oligosaccharides, Omega LCPUFAs (Fish Oil, Antioxidant (Mixed Tocopherols, Ascorbyl Palmitate)), L-Tyrosine, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Inositol, L-Carnitine.

    Minerals: Potassium, Calcium, Chloride, Phosphorus, Sodium, Iron, Zinc, Copper, Iodine, Manganese, Selenium.

    Vitamins: Vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, C, D3, E, K1), Folic Acid, Biotin.

    Nucleotides:

    Aptamil Gold+ Colic & Constipation Baby Infant Formula is based on partially hydrolysed cow's milk protein.

    Directions

    Store in a cool dry place. Use by the date on container bottom. After opening, keep container airtight and use contents within four weeks.

    Product is packed by weight, not volume. Some settling of the powder may occur during transportation and distribution.

We gave water, coloxyl drops and prune juice but bub was still getting too backed up and doing hard poos after 6 days - traumatic for him and us! Our GP recommended we moved to Aptimil Gold+ Colic and Constipation formula and bub has been pooping every 1-2 days (first time ever). Bub is happy and we are happy!

The only downside is that it takes a bit of mixing to get it smooth enough to run through a level 2 teat, sometimes a crystal gets stuck but as long as you get the water temp right its no problems at all!

She’d pass a bowel movement once every 3-4 days which she’d have trouble with and they’d be large, hard marble type. After having her on this formula for two weeks, I’ve found that although she still has trouble pushing her poos out, she at least poos once a day now and the formula seems to have made them runny again which I’m happy with.

It is SO THICK like a milkshake! I went out and bought more teats size 2 (6 months plus) and they were still too small! Size 3 were too fast. My newborn hated it and cried and cried. It didn’t help my baby’s constipation at all. Sorry but a thumbs down for me. Now I will probably end up going back to the hospital formula NaN Supreme 1
