General Information

Previously a treatment only available in salons, Decolour Stripper uses a safe, gentle pigment removal powder to remove both natural and artificial colour pigments.Taking less than and hour, this unique formula creates a lighter base which can be effectively and immediately recoloured. It's an ideal method if you want to change dark hair to blonde or red, or simply achieve a lighter brunette result than your current shade.

Warnings

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

This product is intended for use on persons over the age of 16.

Please follow all enclosed instructions carefully.

PLEASE CONDUCT A SKIN TEST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO USING THIS PRODUCT.

Product contains sulphites.

Avoid contact with eyes.

Rinse eyes immediately with cold water and seek medical assistance if product contact occurs.

Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes.

Always wear gloves supplied.

Do not use if your hair has been coloured with Henna or metallic salts.

The use of Henna after this product is not recommended.

Protect clothes and upholstery from product as discolouration will occur.

Keep out of reach of children.

Common Uses

Decolour Stripper uses an ultra kind lightener with no ammonia and contains the lowest levels of peroxide found in a lightening produ

Precision conditioning 'non-drip' cream allows you to effectively apply to the roots with ease.

Unique Decolour Stripper formula ensures hair cuticle and internal fibres are not damaged or destroyed.

Hair can be effectively re-coloured immediately after the stripping process is complete

Unique formula protects hair lipid levels and retains hair condition.

Can be used twice in succession on very dark base to ensure effective transition to a lighter or blonde shade.

Ingredients

Part 1 De-Pigmenting Powder: Potassium Persulfate, Sodium Silicate, Sodium Persulfate, Sodium Metasilicate, Hydrated Silica, Cyamopsis Tetragonolobus Gum, Silica, Magnesium Carbonate, Cyclodextrin, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Parfum (Fragrance).

Part 2 Developer Cream: Aqua (Water), Hydrogen Peroxide (6%), Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-40 Castor Oil, Cetrimonium Chloride, Methylparaben, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Disodium EDTA, Oxyquinoline Sulfate.

Part 3 Conclude Balm: Aqua (Water), Cetyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, PEG-8 Glyceryl Laurate, PEG-15 Cocopolyamine, Parfum (Fragrance), Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal.

Directions

Empty De Pigmenting Powder into the Developing Crème Bottle. Shake for 30 Seconds.

Apply stripper cream to damp, freshly washed towel dried hair. Start with mid-lengths and ends of hair first then comb product through one section at a time.

Leave on for specified time depending on desired results as described within directions (e.g. if removing medium blonde to light brown hair leave for 30 mins, medium browns 50-60 mins).

Flush stripper cream through hair by combing hair from roots to tips with a damp comb for 2 minutes.

Rinse hair under warm water for 5 minutes, working stripper cream out of hair from roots to tips until water runs clear.

Apply Conclude Balm generously to towel dried hair, comb through from roots to tips for 1 minute, leave to develop for 5 minutes and rinse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Removes colour but black is tough.... I just 'stripped' an old set of extensions which were repeatedly coloured black using demi permanent dye. I found there wasn't quite enough Decolour product to make this an easy process, but it did remove all the black and now the hair is down to about a level 5 golden brown, to match the hair on my head. I don't think I'll need to recolour, which is wonderful. I do like this product. Just wanted more of it :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stripped but straw like I had level 6 vibrant red box dye 3 applications in a few months, my hair felt amazing hydrated so tried Scott Cornwal colour stripper. I’d read many reviews saying it pulled the colour and left hair hydrated so gave it a go. It definitely pulled most of the red out but left majority of my hair orange. Think carrot orange. It says you can strip twice but after one application, my hair was dry and I struggled combing or brushing. Use a very hydrating mask treatment afterwards and even the next day before trying anything with your hair. I’m no hairdresser but will definitely pay to go to salon rather than try this again. The formula is very thick. Add water and use a colour brush and bowl instead of the applicator bottle to make sure you get the correct “texture”. The formula doesn’t mix 100% in the applicator bottle. This product does strip colour but be warned it can cause very dry hair.

The only down side was, there was not enough to cover my whole hair. I normally use 2 packets of hair dye to change colour and realised with this product, I would need at least 4 packets. At that price its far too expensive. Shame, because it did work well on the bits it contacted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok but.... I have bleached hair that's fine and shoulder length. I dyed it blue, green, pink and purple. I applied this colour removal 1 week after my colour application. It got rid of the colour on the length and lightened the colour up top. The roots were removed but spotty. I didn't think the whole box wouldn't be enough for my hair. I don't want to have to buy another box but im going to have to if I want complete colour removal. I'd recommend if you have coloured pixie hair. Need multiple boxes for longer hair.

I think it took some of the colour out, but it didn't take it all out and it didn't lighten my hair at all. If you want this effect I recommend doing a bleach bath instead (easier and cheaper to just buy bleach powder and a low volume developer)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible texture I would never use this again sadly. It lightened my hair, sure, but the consistency of the mixture is like grainy, thick cement mix. It was such a time consuming challenge to get it evenly through my hair, and even after my sister worked it in and combed it through multiple times, it still came out patchy wherever the powdery, dough-like mix didn't properly adhere to the hair. Not only that, but I was only bleaching a single chunky streak into my virgin, medium brown hair and the 1 box BARELY managed to cover it, so unless you have very, very short hair you're going to need multiple boxes. Imo, don't waste your time with this one if you're just going for a bleached look. Just get the regular stuff guys, the consistency is just a nightmare to work with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY THIS Doesn't even deserve one star. I spent over $200 trying to decolour my hair with both types (pink and blue) and neither worked. I thought I would just ignore the negative reviews, but I regret that I did. I followed the instructions to the letter, and still it had ZERO effect besides drying my hair out. Don't waste your money on this crap. I ended up getting my hair decoloured at a hairdressers and they did it quicker, cheaper and much more effectively.

My colour has barely changed a shade or two lighter to red after the second go. Should have gone to the hairdresser in the first place. Probably only works on recently dyed hair. Disappointing result on my hair.
