No chemical smell, easy to apply and lather, takes the brassiness out of my coloured hair. i was so chuffed that i got accepted, this is a product i have wanted to try yet could not part with the money to invest in the range. thank god i did! It's a bright dark purple cream, which comes in an easy to squeeze out bottle. The cream emulsifies easily and lathers up beautifully, I always wash my hair twice, mainly because i use styling products and quite a lot of hairspray, so i find 2 washes rid of all my products from my hair. This product lathers up so well, even on wash number one. My hair definitely felt clean, sift and hydrated, not dry at all, unlike many other purple shampoos, that leave my dry and brittle, and feeling terrible, this one is a delight to use, so gentle and hydrating, but provided fabulous toning and brightening resuts, each time you use it, the hair looks more toned, brighter and in better condition. I was so happy with results and will definitely buy this one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful purple shampoo for blonde hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a natural (and bottle) blonde, I am always on the look out for a new purple shampoo to help with toning my hair with the expectation that it will help extend my colour in between hair appointments. I have tried many blonde shampoo and conditioner brands and have never been 100% happy with them. I often find my hair feels too 'squeaky' and I seem to have more difficulty with flyaways. I am trying to extend my colour appointments due to experimenting with allowing my grey hairs to shine through so this suite of products are helping me do this. The shampoo cleans my hair in one use, lathers beautifully without requiring too much product, and the fragrance is gorgeous. I am left with beautiful blonde hair with no sign of brassiness whatsoever. It is definitely a winner! I loved using this product and without a doubt it is my favourite blonde range I have had the pleasure of using.

I have tried many brands and the thing I look for most in a purple shampoo is one that doesn’t leave a purple tint or turn my hair “too ashy” as some brands have been far to strong and left me with grey hair almost. I am so pleased this purple shampoo did not do this. It left my hair really bright and refreshed. No purple or ashy tint. I never used to use purple shampoo every wash for this reason but feel this purple shampoo is mild enough to use frequently and keep your blonde bright. I found the scent mild and lovely. The texture is great and lathers really well. It leaves the hair clean but soft and not stripped. This is a fantastic purple shampoo and I would highly recommend it. I also suffer greasy hair and try to avoid washing my hair frequently and this did not cause me to get oily. I rate this as good as my usual longterm purple shampoo and would re-purchase for sure. I have a large of brands that are far too harsh and strong for me and this has been a fantastic addition to my list of good shampoos :)

The shampoo lathers amazingly well and cleans your hair really well, leaving it feeling soft and shiny and the purple shampoo doesn't stain your hands either. The shampoo smells really good and whilst it didn't tone my hair an incredible amount which I was happy with, I could still see a difference. After using the conditioner and then blow drying my hair I was very happy with the final result. Would highly recommend this product.

I tried this on my blond hair and found it to work really well. It smells nice. The bottle is a good size 250ml. The product was easy to dispense and I didn't need to use too much product. I left on my hair for 5 minutes then rinsed and followed up with the Toni & Guy conditioner. My hair was left soft, shiny and reduced any brassy tones I had. It contains a pearl extract and keratin formula which helps the shampoo to work effectively. The color of the shampoo is purple which looks pretty cool. This is a product that works really well and you can see the results. Its made in Australia. I like that the bottle is made from 50% recycled plastic. Toni & Guy has been around for 50 years. I think its a great brand.

I was not convinced of the claims. I have used a few 'big name' and salon exclusive brands before with minimal results and negative outcomes. 1) minimal yellow/brass neutralizing results 2) Having on-going issues with brassiness between salon visits 3) wasted money on products that don't live up to their claims 4) products that end up being wasted. The good news..... I was gifted the Toni & Guy range to try- 'WOW' was my first reaction after using the shampoo. My hair was immediately brighter in colour, silky smooth with that 'just visited the salon' look. Great product, with no nasties, divine, light fragrance, attractive packaging. The easy open top is a bonus making it easy to hold and dispense when showering.

With freshly dyed blonde hair I wanted to make sure I maintained the colour and everytime I was my hair with this shampoo people at work think its freshly dyed. Great product and great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product, especially when on sale! My go-to purple shampoo and conditioner was always Fudge. It does leave my hair very dry though, so I've been on the look-out for an alternative. I grabbed some of this, along with its companion conditioner when it was half-price at Woolies recently and I'm really glad I did! It lathers beautifully and does a great job of making my hair feel clean and silky. It doesn't deposit a really dark purple tint to the hair, like the Organix "Make me Pastel" purple range or Fudge does, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Just something to be aware of, as it's more like a maintenance product, rather than a true toning product. I love that I can easily pick up this shampoo with my weekly shopping. It's regularly half price at both Woolies and Priceline too, so it's worth keeping an eye out for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great impact on brassy blondes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive the Toni&Guy Purple Shampoo as part of the trial team, mainly due to because I am so adverse to change. You see I already have my favourite purple shampoo brand and there was really no need for me to try a different brand- and that's where sticking to a routine can hold you back from new discoveries. I was so pleased to be in a situation to be able to "give it a go" and make a fair comparison, as I probably would still be using my old-school favourite brand. So what was there to compare you ask? Impact and effect on hair colour and texture. I have to say that I did leave the Toni&Guy shampoo on for longer than my usual brand, to encourage it to neutralise the brassy tones but I think this is because this purple shampoo seems to be gentler on the hair, not as sudsy and harsh on the strands, not as drying. However, also not as powerful, it just needs a little longer on the hair to be more effective in reducing the brassy tones. The packaging was ok, but I would still rather have a pump pack for ease of use. The smell was ok and the consistency of the shampoo was fine. I will definitely switch this one into my purple shampoo rotation (although pricer than my old school brand)

I have coloured blonde hair with natural white/ grey coming thru. This shampoo is easy to use and lathers well. My hair smells great and is very shiny. The shampoo makes my hair roots look less grey and toned in nicely. Using this shampoo can slow my regular visits to the hair salon. The colour really tones the yellow from my hair as I throw off brassy tones. My friends have commented hpw great my hair looks colour wise and shiny.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective but makes showers extra long [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was easy to use and is in a convenient sized bottle, so there is room for my other more frequently (non purple) used shampoo in the shower. It is also in a handy size and shape for travelling. It lathers up well but it took several applications before I noticed much of a difference. I generally just use purple conditioners, so it was a nice change to use a purple shampoo as well as a purple conditioner. However, I generally just wash out the shampoo after putting it in, so I had to keep pinching myself to leave it in for the prescribed 2-5 minutes. This made my shower time long. Especially, when following with the purple conditioner. That said, it did clean my hair and brightened it after several uses.
