MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.

TravaCalm H.O. Chewable is suitable for the prevention of travel sickness.
TravaCalm H.O. Chewable is for the prevention of travel sickness when travelling by car, boat, ship or plane. This single active formula comes in a convenient chewable tablet format which is strawberry flavoured. Suitable for adults and children aged 8 years and over.

Warnings
This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol.
Ingredients
Each tablet contains: Hyoscine hydrobromide 300 mcg
Acacia, Flavour, Hydrogenated vegetable oil,
Lactose monohydrate, Magnesium stearate, Wheat starch
Directions
Take 30 minutes prior to departure.
Adults: 1 or 2 tablets, repeat in 4-6 hourly if necessary, (maximum 4 tablets per 24 hours).
Children 8 to 12 years: a half to one tablet (maximum 2 tablets per 24 hours). Repeat 6-8 hourly if necessary.

Definitely do the trick for us .
Really good product. This was recommended to us by a few friends, and as we were about to go on a long haul flight with our 13 year old who we THINK gets air sick (we're still not 100% sure - it could have just been a tummy bug as he is not ALWAYS sick on flights) we wanted to cover our bases. I have also recently become a bit queasy on flights, so I also took them, and they were great. No feelings of queasiness, and I felt quite relaxed about the flight - I'm usually quite anxious. My son was 100% fine on all our recent flights (Sydney to Canada, Canada to New Zealand). My only negative is that they are not available outside of Australia! Such a bummer - so I have ordered them online to be delivered to New Zealand, but I was only allowed to order 1 x packet at a time - but even with the $18 international postage, I was happy to purchase, as I do believe they definitely work. I was hoping to be able to stock up though, especially since I was going to have to pay the international postage.

Travel Essential
I don't travel anywhere without having Travacalm with me. It has helped save me from bouts of motion sickness, nausea and even just anxiety on many travels. The red ones have a nice strawberry flavour to them if you chew, and if you don't, they're small and easy to swallow anyway.
They definitely do "calm" you down a little, so I don't recommend having a full one before driving, as they can cause drowsiness. These have turned horror flights into enjoyable ones, and for that I'll always be grateful!
