General Information

NEW Effaclar Foaming Gel Cleanser M from La Roche- Posay, the No 1 dermatologist recommended skincare brand in Australia. Purifying Foaming gel cleanser, now with new Phylobioma active ingredient, powered by Microbiome Science. Phylobioma targets excess sebum and reduces imperfections. Effaclar Foaming Gel Cleanser M is a daily use gel cleanser that removes makeup and eliminates impurities. With soothing, anti-irritant La Roche – Posay Thermal Spring Water, this gentle non-comedogenic, soap and alcohol free gel is suitable for sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin.

Warnings

Directions

Dispense dime-sized amount into palm and foam in the hand with water before applying to face, massaging gently. Rinse thoroughly

Nothing ever worked for my skin, eventually this product was recommended to me and I have never looked back! my skin has never looked this clear or felt so healthy. I am so beyond grateful for this product, not only has it increased the quality of my skin, but has increased the level of confidence I have without makeup. Thank you so much, definitely my holy grail product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of my favourite cleansers. I love that it is soap free. It doesn't dry out my sensitive skin but still leaves it feeling clean. You only need a little bit to clean your whole face because it foams up very well. I would definitely repurchase this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have really enjoyed using this cleanser, it was gentle enough in my skin so as not it irritate it, but foamed up well, giving me a cleansed feeling! I saw a noticeable difference when I began it use it and my acne has cleared up big time. I used it in conjunction with my Clarisonic, which had amazing results and all in all have had a very pleasant experience!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a big fan of La Roche Posay moisturisers but have never tried their cleansers before. I am not sure why but I was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed this product. I think it's because the word foaming scares me slightly as I have dehydrated and sensitive skin and steer away from stripping cleansers. The gel feels quite cooling on the skin and doesn't make my skin feel tight after use. I use this as a second cleanser, after I have removed my makeup with an oil cleanser and find it does a good job. I've also done a bit of research and noticed that the ph level of this cleanser is 5.5(based on the priceline website) which confirms to me that it does a great job of "cleaning" the skin without stripping it of it's natural oils/chemicals.

This cleanser was soothing and took my make-up off well also. As well, a little goes a long way making this cleanser excellent value for money! Would recommend trying

I've noticed my face being significantly less oily and has a more even and clear appearance. This is definitely something I will re purchase and keep using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a fabulous cleanser for oily and acne prone skin. I was worried that this may strip my skin too much and leave it  feeling a tad dry, but that wasn’t the case at all. After use my skin would feel clean and well cleansed without feeling tight and dry. Having used this everyday, feel it has significant helped to improve my skin and from blemishes appearing. Highly recommend!

It is great for my oily skin, and doesn't leave me with the overly-dried skin with irritating stretched/tight sensation (having used many other products on my oily skin in the past I was absolutely overjoyed to find it gave this result). Skin just feels fresh and clean of excess oil. A big plus - you don't need much gel to lather up into a nice cleansing foam, so I find it lasts an impressively long time! Worth the money and if you can get it on sale even better! Chemist warehouse sells the larger bottle 400ml with a pump which again makes it even cheaper. I highly recommend this product for anyone with oily skin who hates that tight-skinned feeling after washing their face. Will be definitely repurchasing in the future!

I have combination skin and found this controlled my oily t-zone very well, but was still gentle enough that it didn't dry out the rest of my face. After consistent use, there was a significant reduction in breakouts and pore size, and my skin was glowy and soft. The scent is refreshing and a little product goes a very long way. This has become my new holy grail and I have recommended it to all my friends and family.

The formula is soft and non-irritant, whilst the gel formula is great for morning to wake up skin. The product does not dry out skin unlike others on the market.

It doesn't sting my eyes and gets the make up off nicely. Along with other La Roche-Posay, my skin has been mostly clear. I would definitely recommend this cleaner to any skin types.

This foaming gel didn't dry out my skin or feel to harsh which was a nice change. A little goes a long way so the price is very good for the efficiency of the product.Left my skin looking smooth and clearer. I used this as my main cleanser in the morning and my double cleanse in the evening. Would 100% recommend this product. And has become a staple in my skincare routine.

The cleanser is very lightweight and soap free so it does not feel as though it strips the skin of all its natural moisture. However it is not effective at taking off long lasting makeup and I would recommend a more exfoliating face wash if you desire a product like that.

Although my face can feel on the tighter side after using the face wash, it definitely goes away once I apply serums and moisturisers over the top. A little goes a long way and it pairs well with the Effaclar Duo Plus. Would buy again.

I do feel the need to still go in with a scrub afterwards but if you were just looking for a cleanser for every day use for acne prone skin, you wouldn't go wrong with this product.\n\n

I use this in my regime as part 2 of a double cleanse to remove makeup at the end of a day. No horrible overpowering scent, easy to use packing for travel/ shower/basin. On my combination skin it allowed a thorough cleanse without stripping of all moisture. Definitely on my repurchase list, also suitable for my teenage daughter who has acne prone oily skin. It's a win for the family

I have found my skin to feel less oily and I have had less break outs. You also just feel so refreshed/cleansed after using it. I found my skin felt a little bit dry after using (however certainly not as dry as some other cleansers have left me feeling). I would follow up with the Effeclar Duo/Effeclar Mat and found that to be the perfect combination.

It feels really nice to apply and leave my skin feeling nice and clean without drying it out and making it feel too tight. I’ve defintely noticed an improvement in my skin since using this cleanser. A little goes a long way and it’s a really decent sized bottle so you definitely get your money’s worth!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've been using the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel for about a month now and I must say that it has done a fabulous job in reducing my breakouts and making my skin feel less oily. This cleansing gel is designed specifically for oily and acne prone skin and I do think that it would not be suitable for people with dry skin as it is a bit drying. The gel foams very well creating a gentle lather and it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh after I use it. I have been using it twice a day and have hardly had any pimples at all since I started to use it.\n\nIt comes in a great 200ml size and as you only need a little bit to cover the whole face, it is great value for money.\n\nI also really like that it is free from parabens.\n

Most of them were harsh and dried out my skin. This is brilliant. I only have to use a little amount and it foams up to a creamy gel, removing all the dirt on my skin without drying it out. Leaves my skin healthy and supple after washing my face and, my skin feels super clean. I would highly recommend this to anyone with acne prone skin. My acne is considerably under control now and my face is less oily. I'm extremely pleased. \n
