General Information

Vegan Protein Vanilla Flavour

Ingredients

Ingredients: Pea protein isolate, brown rice protein isolate, natural flavours, vegetable gum (415), sweetener (steviol glycosides), digestive enzyme (bromelain), glycine, l-arginine, l-glutamine, beta alanine.

Directions

Mix 2 scoops (40g) into 300-350mL of cold water in a shaker. Shake until dissolved

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for a Vegan Protein The vanilla is decent for a vegan protein, probably the best vegan option you’re going to get in terms of flavour and protein content. I’m not sure what the muppets who have rated it poorly were expecting. If you want the dairy taste, then buy whey protein or eat ice cream - it’s pretty simple. I’ve spent enough money trying other vegan brands and I found that they all used way too much sweetener - it’s disgusting. If you’re going to try a vegan protein, then try this vanilla one first.

Put it in a smoothie with enough frozen fruit and milk and it's fine and you're getting the protein in Will be buying again purely based off cheap price

The flavour is one of the nicest tasting vegan proteins compared to other ones I’ve tried that have a stronger pea protein flavour. It’s so great by itself or added into a smoothie with some fruit after the gym.

But personally the part I enjoyed the least was how sweet it is. I would prefer a more neutral non sugary protein powder so that I can add berries and banana without it being sickeningly sweet. If it was not so sweet I would buy again.

The taste was quite disappointing, followed the instructions but couldn't get through the one serve because it did taste gross, honestly. I mixed it with milk instead and it was actually drinkable. I would recommend to start off using this in shakes or mixing with milks and fruits.

I didn’t love the taste but don’t really like the taste of normal protein powders. After all the bad reviews I expected a lot worse it’s actually drinkable :)

It tastes like more pea protein and less vanilla flavouring. It tastes pretty bland so I may as well just buy pea protein isolate on its own.

It definitely smells better than it tastes! I now have to wade through a whole kg of the stuff because I don't want to waste it. I mix it with another protein powder so I can actually enjoy drinking it. I do not recommend this product. Such a shame.

Like others have said, it has a very strong artificial vanilla flavouring with what tastes like stacks of unnecessary stevia. I usually use around half a serve in a smoothie and the taste is still quite prominent - I definitely wouldn't drink it with water and would hesitate to use a full serve at once. For someone like me who just wants and extra dose of protein in their diet it's fine - cheap, vegan and doesn't taste like ground hemp. BUT if you want a pre/post workout protein hit, using it as directed, probably go for something else.
