General Information

Free from sulphates, silicones and the harsh chemicals that can dry out and strip your hair and scalp, our Natural Balance Shampoo combines nourishing Burdock, Nettle and Horsetail Extracts to cleanse and energise the scalp, naturally! Added Baobab Oil helps to moisturise and protect, while adding lustre to hair. A welcomed aroma of Sukin’s Signature Scent of Mandarin, Tangerine, Lavender and Vanillin refresh the senses!

So naturally I was hoping this Sukin range would help my troubles hair. This shampoo lathered up nicely. It's a very light type of shampoo. The scent wasn't too strong and was quite pleasant. It doesn't make my hair feel heavy with product after use but it also didn't leave it silky smooth. I did pair it with the scrub, conditioner and leave in conditioner. Overall i think it's a nice product for a nice clean without striping the hair or overloading moisture.

This shampoo is a great option for people that want a natural shampoo that is more affordable than other options on the market. As someone who has fine, oily hair, this shampoo helped my hair feel really clean, and I could go longer in between washing my hair. The shampoo has a natural and clean smell, not too overpowering as some shampoos can be. I have coloured hair and this shampoo didn't cause any issues with that.

I really loved the vanilla, tangerine, mandarin and lavender scent of this shampoo. It is fragrant but not too overpowering and leaves hair with a faint fragrance of the product. It was easy to use and made my hair feel lovely and fresh. The inclusion of the botanical extracts was a nice touch and I like that the product is free of parabens. I am really enjoying using this product as part of my haircare routine!

Scent: The smell of the shampoo was natural and nice without being too overbearing. You can really smell the mint and other essential oil flavors used in this product. Ingredients: The best part about this product is the clean list of ingredients while still working well to clean hair. I love that there are no nasty ingredients and lathers without sulfates. Rating: I have fine hair and it can be hard to find a clean formula. While my hair felt very fresh and clean after washing, I did feel like my hair started getting oily after a day or two which is why I did not rate 5 stars. For the price and ingredients I would definitely buy again.

My hair definitely enjoyed some time off all the nasties used in other products- especially since I’m a “non-natural” blonde who has mistreated my hair a fair bit already. It also had a really nice smell (without any “earthy” scent that sometimes comes with “natural” products) which was a pleasant surprise. The shampoo had a really nice consistency, and didn’t feel like I had to use much product either for it to do a good job. It really left my hair feeling clean and refreshed.

This shampoo has now become a staple product of mine. It leaves my hair feeling amazing and its gentle enough to be used everyday. My hair doesnt get to the point of feeling oily and when used with the conditioner and scalp scrub its an amazing combination that leaves your hair and scalp feeling great. I can definitely recommend this product, especially to other people who like to wash their hair daily.

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and have fine and thin hair that has recently been coloured. I did not notice this range affecting my coloured hair at all. I like that it has natural ingredients and that sukin is transparent about what goes into their products. It has a nice scent and is easy to use. It lathers nicely so I only need to use a small amount. I have only been washing my hair 1-2 times a week since starting this product and my hair feels great. For the price I am really happy with the results of this product.

The scent of this shampoo is really nice, which is an important factor for me when choosing my hair products I like the fact its a more natural alternative then other products which is not something I've really put too much thought into previously. The product is a good size with attractive packaging. I only tend to wash my hair twice a week and have found the sukin range to be adequate for this, I'm not getting to greasy between washes and my hair feels clean after use.

It worked well for both my hair type (normal) and my mom's (oily). Leaving it all so smooth, nourished and smiling great even one day after using the product. Though it is not silicone free, it didn't cause any buildups after consecutively using it for nearly a month. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a break from all the heavily chemical fragranced shampoos on the market.

My hair felt soft and looked shiny even on day 2 which rarely happens for my hair, especially the ends which are on the ‘dead’ side but even those held moisture for a longer period of time. I fell in love with the subtle fragrance that lingers slightly throughout the day without being in your face. All in all it’s a good all round product that does the job well which I believe would suit many different hair types and textures.

The shampoo had the signature Sukin scent which I loved and was very glad was incorporated into this product. I only used a small amount which was enough to wash all my hair. It foamed nicely and left my hair feeling refreshed and cleansed. I paired it with the Natural Balance Conditioner and it complimented very nicely. Afterwards, my hair felt renewed, moisturised and soft. I would highly recommend Sukin shampoo, it is a good quality, affordable and environmentally friendly!

It is nice knowing I am not using harsh ingredients on my scalp. The shampoo didn't lather up as much as other shampoo's, however it still did a wonderful job clean my long thick hair. I wish the product was a little more hydrating, however when used with the other product in the line, it is fine! The shampoo does not weigh down my hair and gives it a nice shine. I find that my hair still gets frizzy using this line of products - i do wish it had some anti frizz ingredients in it.

Natural hair care products can be quite hit and miss, however, I used both the shampoo and conditioner and felt like they worked really well together. I live in the tropics where it is summer almost all year round so I need to wash my hair almost every day. So, a product that I can use regularly that doesn’t dry my hair out is important to me. After using this product, my hair was left feeling clean but not dried out like the feeling other hair products can leave. It was also really gentle on the scalp which is great.

Wasn't drying and definitely did the job. All oils were removed and my hair was left feeling fabulous. I would definitely recommend this production to anyone. Oily or dry hair. The scent is amazing, so fresh and not overpowering at all. I will definitely repurchase this product. Only gave it 4 stars as i cant comment on the long term effects of the product but so far so good. I used this product paired with the others in the range and all together it was a perfect mixture. I found after a double shampoo my hair was extremely clean and lasted well

In the past, natural shampoos have dried out my hair, this didn’t do that. My hair was left clean but not completely stripped of oil. I did notice that my hair wasn’t quite as shiny as when I use a more tradition ‘non-natural’ shampoo but this is definitely the best natural shampoo I have tired. It is good option for anyone looking for a natural shampoo. I would recommend to anyone who loves more natural products.

The natural formula is free from sulphates, silicones and the harsh chemicals and has a nice texture that's easy to use in the shower. Like most natural shampoos, this Sukin Naturals Balance Shampoo doesn't lather up like the traditional shampoos, however I was able to massage it into the scalp and lengths of my hair quite well. Once rinsed off, my hair felt smooth and soft. After drying, my hair felt light and clean. It wasn't as bouncy as it usually is, however it wasn't too big of an issue,

I get really oily roots and product build-up but this shampoo cleaned and re-balanced my hair. It has a really nice natural smell and it is almost clear in appearance. It has natural ingredients and no SLS which is great because I find that really drying. When using, I put a dollop in my hand and distributed it all over, then worked it out from the roots outwards. Overall I found when using along with the Sukin conditioner my hair felt and looked more hydrated, healthy, and shiny :)

I really enjoyed using this shampoo. I like the fact that it has a very nice, “natural” scent. It did a good job cleansing and my scalp did feel good after using this, and it was not feeling dry or irritated at all. I think I would continue to use this product in the long term. It was effective as a balancing shampoo. The price point is fantastic for the product you get. I also love the fact that its a natural, Australian, vegan friendly product.

The formula combines natural extracts and oil that helps moisturise and protect. Unlike some shampoos, it cleanses without making the hair feel harsh. It makes a very good combination routine with the conditioner counterpart. The package, like the conditioner is great value for money. It lathers very well and the scent is great. I have seen significant improvement in my scalp and dandruff has improved very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have super dry hair (as a result of a medication I used to be on and it changed the texture of my hair) before it was oily so I'm always looking for hair products that won't further dry out my hair/strip my scalp. I was so pleased I was able to be a part of the trial because it definitely gave back my hair some moisture and was nourishing to use. I also like that it's free from sulphates, silicones and harsh chemicals. I also really enjoyed the light scent as it wasn't overpowering. As usual, Sukin's price range is great and the price range is reasonably priced.

It has a nice mild scent but i don't think this works for me. I have naturally wavy hair and i usually wash it once a week but i feel like i need to wash it more often when i use this shampoo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Sukin Product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have psoriasis on my scalp and have found this product from Sukin to work quite well with my sensitivities, however after a few washes my hair has not been as soft and quite dry. This is a fabulous product for its price point and love that Sukin is all natural and does not test on animals. The dryness from this shampoo has been nicely counter-acted with the leave in conditioner. The texture of this shampoo is lovely, it suds just the right amount and has a very pleasant smell. Bottom line, I would recommend this to a friend, especially one suffering from a sensitive scalp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used Sukin face products in the past so was really excited to try their hair care line. There are lots of pro's - super reasonable price, available in supermarkets (don't need to go foraging), recyclable packaging, vegan product with no chemicals etc. This shampoo was good, I felt like I had to add a bit more product to get the lather that I normally like, however I wasn't completely wowed. I would definitely purchase again, as all things considered it was a perfectly find product, however I didn't vibe the WOW that a lot of people seem to have experienced. (Perhaps because I have never coloured my hair before, not sure?)

They all have that signature Sukin scent which I enjoy and it has a spa like quality to it. I also found the texture and the lathering capability of this to be nice as well. However, In terms of the results, I don't think that this improved my hair in comparison to other natural and unnatural hair care options. On the natural hair care front, I definitely have other affordable options I prefer, but this holds up well for a line that is available in grocery stores and drug stores at a fairly affordable price. Definitely give it a go and see how your hair reacts to it!

I appreciate knowing there are no nasties or super harsh chemicals in the product but feel that it didn't perform as well as my regular shampoo. The Sukin shampoo didn't lather up a lot and I found when using it I definitely needed a double shampoo to get that clean feeling and I could go fewer days between washing again. I did like that it didn't seem to affect the colour of my bleached hair (I've had some shampoos send it green). While I didn't hate the shampoo, it is not something I would personally purchase for myself.

My hair has a 'squeeky' feel to it afterwards. I have not tried this type of shampoo before, maybe this is how it is when you don't have all the other nasty stuff in it. I might try a different brand.
