General Information

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for sensitive skin is hypoallergenic and up to 2 hours water resistant. The mineral based face sunscreen contains zinc oxide for physical broad spectrum sun protection.

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Dry-touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 is a mineral based sunscreen that provides high broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection whilst being gentle on skin. With Purescreen zinc oxide, it filters out harmful UVA and UVB rays from skin. Suitable for daily protection and use on the face, it contains vitamin E, a skin daily conditioning anti-oxidant and leaves an invisible matte finish on skin.

Warnings

Warnings: Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. May be irriating to eyes. If product gets into eyes rinse thoroughly with water. For external use only. Discontinue use and see a doctor if signs of irritation or rash appear. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poisons Information Centre right away. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear when exposed to the sun. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Directions

Directions: Apply liberally to all exposed areas 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply frequently (at least every 2 hours) and immediately after swimming, excessive perspiration, towelling, or prolonged sun exposure.

It’s quite thick and leaves you whiteish and greasy.... but it works well and, I can still apply makeup over it. I’d buy this again, it’s a better face solution than some of the other zincs on the market for my face.

Despite the prece their sunscreen also had a weird smell that was off putting. After some research on EWG that rated this sunscreen highly I bought some from the supermarket and found my sunscreen HG. Onto my second tube and loving it. I have never written a review before but felt so strongly about this product that I decided to post one. Thank you Neutrogena!

I bought this item last week knowing that I needed to up my SPF game under my make up in the mornings. Chemical suncsreen really starts to sting & irritate my cheeks, temple & outer eye area after about 4 hours so it's no good - back to zinc we go. I have found that this product stays put over the top of my moisturiser. Warm it up first between finger tips and gently pat it on in 2 x thin layers to make sure all face is covered well. Go make a coffee, do your eyes, iron your shirt, then come back and gently pat on foundation, powder etc... the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc for Face will be sheer & dry by then and you'll be set & ready to go.

Super high levels of active ingredient zinc oxide, it's non-comedogenic, and most importantly this is a physical (not chemical) sunscreen, so it's more stable, less likely to clog pores, I can wear it and go straight into the sun, and it's far less likely to damage coral reefs. Sure it's thicker than a chemical sunscreen, but it works. Will be buying a back up and taking this to the northern territory.

I have pale skin. I like having mineral sunscreen handy for days when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to wait twenty minutes for a chemical sunscreen to take effect and protect. Each type of sunscreen has its place. I’d happily buy again.

The Neutrogena kept my skin hydrated while protected from Aussie UV rays. It was great as a primer under my makeup too and gave me a sense of protection as I went out during the day. It wasn’t greasy upon application, it went on smoothly and it felt quite silky to the touch when I applied it to my face and arms. I have been using it daily since receiving my sample and will continue to use the product, as it is a nice way to fend off UV rays and keep my skin nice and avoid sunburn and possible skin issues.
