Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ear plugs. Was staying in a noisy motel and these plugs saved my sanity. Dont bother with foam ones they dont work. FYI always check the pricing ar chemist warehouse as the were on special but i was charged incorrectly and didn't realize until i left shop. This has happened more than once and is a pity as that can't get their prices right.

My husbands snoring is horrendous these plugs are the only thing that enables me to get any sleep. I have tried everyhing from industrial to moulded plugs for my ears but nothing works like these do

They cut out most noise relly well but nothing stops all noise. Big plus is you can boil them to clean them - haven't tried that yet but will do when they get soiled.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reduces noise volume somewhat They do reduce noise, but they don't block it out entirely. I can definitely still hear noise to the degree that it severely negatively impacts my life and I cannot focus. I am so jealous of the people who have posted reviews saying “I can’t hear anything with these in”. I wish that I also heard an absence of sound. I have excellent hearing, and that is a curse. I think, if you have bad hearing, then you might find these block out all sound. But if you have excellent hearing like me, then they won’t block out all sound. Lots of my neighbours play loud music through their stereos and I can hear the bass so loudly. There’s always some kind of manmade noise like construction noise, gun shots, fireworks, cars, airplanes. I live in a rural area and there’s always unbearable manmade noise. These ear plugs do not block out any of these noises. They reduce the volume, but, I can still hear all these noises loudly. I can feel a seal going on which means I’ve inserted them correctly, but this is painful to my ears. I am very careful to follow the instructions and ensure I'm not pushing it into my ear canal, but once I feel that seal, it creates a ringing in my ears. Everytime I blink I can hear it loudly in my ears, like this clicking sound of my eyelids/ eyelashes closing. Every time I swallow or talk I can hear it very loudly (much more loudly than without the earplugs). Everytime I take a step, I hear it very loudly, my ears hurt, I can feel the ear plugs intensely with every step, and they make a loud noise every time I step. If I sleep on my side (with the earplugs in), it hurts my ears. And because of the material, they are impossible to clean. Because I sleep in them, when I wake up and take them out… they are dirty from touching my pillow (because they are in my ear and my ear goes on the pillow). There is lots of little black dirt stuff on them. But I can’t wash them off. The only way to get the dirt off them is to remove it with my fingernail, which also removes bits of the silicone ear plug too. Overall I think they're appropriate for sleeping if you sleep on your back. But I wouldn't wear them out or even whilst getting ready for bed. I imagine that for swimmers, if inserted very well, they would keep the water sealed out. And they will reduce the volume of noise, but they won’t block the noise entirely.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Company has reduced the volume of these plugs Have been using this product quite happily for many years but am really disappointed in the current product. Just bought a new pack of these earplugs and found that though they cost the same the volume of the plugs has been reduced by about a third and now seem too small to cover the ear canal properly. They are definitely not the same value for money compared to my earlier purchase of the same item. They still may be good for a child but not for adult use.
