Rated 4 out of 5 by from surprisingly good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the sample with my beautorium order, I had never tried a serum before and was a bit sceptical but it was great it felt fantastic putting it on and absorbed quickly and the more I used it I actually felt my skin texture improving. It is a great product and the only factor that was a bit worrying was the packaging it concerned me that all those plastic capsules are not good for the environment. It would be great if it was in another type of packaging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really effective at adding moisture [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really really loved the impact these had on my skin. This serum is supplied in dinky little capsules, ensuring you don’t have to worry about how much to use – it’s pre-measured. I found that it was a little tough to twist or pinch the capsules open, and took to snipping them with a pair of scissors. This is quicker, neater, and less likely to result in unfortunate squirting incidents. However, the serum itself is wonderful. It immediately gives your skin a somewhat silky feel, and overnight dramatically increases how moisturised your skin feels. I did find that I needed to wait a little longer than average – perhaps five minutes – before I could effectively apply moisturiser over the top. I simply re-arranged the order of my night time routine, and found this no real problem. Apart from the minor challenge of finding the best way to open the capsules, I found no downsides to this product. It feels great on my skin, and it’s wonderfully effective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very hydrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] wow, i got this as a bonus with my beautorium haul. What a nice little present. This product comes in golden small soft round capsules. It's very easy to open them and not make a mess. Just remove the little tabby bit and squeeze onto your hands. This is very clear and runny, similar to a light oil in consistency. it glides over your face to well but u found it does take some time to sink in as my face felt quite oily afterwards. Therefore I would recommend to use at night time. After using a few of these, I can see my face is more hydrated , softer and glowing. It does have a heft price tag but it does work really well.

The product comes in convenient sized capsules, which are easy to open and would be handy if you were travelling. Applied before using moisturiser, I found it gives my everyday moisturiser an extra boost, which is great for nourishing dry winter skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for dry, mature skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to see this sample in my beautorium package. I've been wanting to try something like this but the price point isn't ideal for those looking to sample. I love the little capsules although it is easy to spill some when you twist it open and really, it's too expensive to waste! After the first one I was a lot more careful with how I held it. It is a serum which some find too oily but I found great for my skin, it went on easily, felt smooth and not oily at all once you start applying and I found I could easily do my face, neck and hands with one capsule. I would lightly moisturise afterwards and within a few days I did notice my skin feeling a lot softer, less dry and it seemed like my skin tone was more even and less patchy too which was a great bonus! I don't wear makeup often so only applied any after this once but that was fine, it stayed on all day and felt great, in fact it probably came off a little easier at the end of the day. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this product and buying if I ever spot it on sale or end up with some birthday money to spend and splurge on myself.

The packaging is super pretty and I couldn't wait to try as I'm a recent serum convert and this product is certainly of higher quality than I can possibly afford at the moment. I was super surprised when I took the top off - there is SO much in a tiny capsule. For me I used half a capsule in the morning and half in the evening. It certainly made my skin feel soft and supple. Personally for me I prefer a serum to be more oil in texture - this kind of felt less oil and more a hybrid moisturiser - made my face very very shiny. But overall I like the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful Serum, But Pricey! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive a free sample of this serum in my Beautorium order. The consistency of this serum is very oily (in a good way). My oily skin has come to love the balancing effects of facial oils. This serum feels very rich & takes a while to absorb. When I put moisturiser on top, it felt too heavy. I don't have what you'd call thirsty skin. This serum is rich enough that I didn't need anything else. After a few weeks of nightly use, my skin has been feeling soft. I'm sure in the longer term I'd see great results. WOULD I PURCHASE? No. If I win Lotto one day, I'll probably buy this serum because it really is wonderful. Meanwhile, I find it hard to justify the expense. Also, as I throw the empty little capsules in the bin, I wonder if they break down. Made in Italy. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a 7 day sample of this with my most recent Beautorium order and I really enjoyed using this. I used this at night instead of my usual rose hip oil and these tiny capsules contain a lot of the serum/ oil enough to completely cover my face, neck and declotage. It sinks in to the skin very quickly which is great.My skin felt very moisturised and felt very soft and still felt that way the next morning. I found the capsules a bit fiddly to deal with and if your a bit clumsy (like me) you can end up loosing a bit of the liquid. Unfortunately there is absolutely no chance of me being able to afford this product but I do think it's a nice serum and I was happy to get this sample

I am so happy I was given the opportunity to trial this as this is not a product that I would have purchased. You apply the product after cleansing and before moisturizing. I was a bit skeptical about applying oil on my nose as I have combination skin and my nose gets very oily. However, after applying this daily, it has made my skin feel so much better. I'm still not convinced about the benefits of the oil in a capsule as opposed to a pump pack but this is a great product. I'm also not sure if I will be purchasing in the future due to the price point, but I will consider it.

I've heard great things and wanted to try them but the price is a bit out of my league. I took the advice of other beauties on the forum and pierced the end of a capsule with a needle, only squeezing out enough to apply to my face, neck and decolletage. Perhaps I have a small face but I found I could get 3 uses out of one capsule. It feels a little like oil on my face and doesn't absorb straight away. While my skin felt pretty hydrated I followed with a moisturiser which I felt I needed. I like what this did for my skin. It felt plumoer and I noticed my pigmentation less, however I won't be repurchasing simply because of the cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Youth Capsules [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the generous extras in my Beautorium parcel of goodies, I received the trial set of Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules containing 7 capsules. I had heard such great things about the serum that I couldn't wait to break into those capsules! Packed with anti-aging properties including potent botanicals, retinol derivative and of course ceramides, the capsules are formulated to hydrate the skin and bring back its youthfulness. The serum is packaged in these cute capsules which are contained in a plastic tube. After reading reviews, I was already aware that there was enough serum in each capsule for more than one use. I used a pin in the "neck" of the capsule, so that I could release product and keep the remaining serum for later use. The serum feels like an oily substance, whilst not being thick. I discovered I was able to use one capsule for both my morning and evening routine, giving myself a very generous amount for each application. This gave me 7 days to use the serum. This product felt so luxurious as a I massaged it into my skin. I like to use the words smooth and soft when describing the way my skin can feel after using skincare. Those adjectives just don't accurately describe how my skin feels. My skin felt like silk. When using the capsules, I just couldn't stop touching my face. I have combination skin that is on the drier side. I decided to cleanse, tone and only use these capsules. My skin did not feel lacking in any way, it did not feel dry or tight. One week isn't much of a trial when it comes to seeing visible results in anti-aging skincare, but I must say that my skin was firmer and had a more plump look which seemed to make my fine lines less visible. And did I mention how amazing my skin felt??? I am interested in checking out the other products in the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide range, if they're anywhere near as nice as the capsules, I need them all!

Have been using this for about 2 months now and wanted to wait for a bit to see results before submitting a review. The capsules are great and so easy to use. I like that it is in a capsule for individual use, seems really hygienic that way! There is no smell at all (or none that I can smell). I have been using this every evening after I cleanse my face and before I put my night cream on. The consistency is oil like but it absorbs really well. Takes a couple minutes before the shine goes away. My skin is very sensitive and I have not noticed any breakouts. A more even complexion without foundation. I didn't give this product a 5 because it's not a "miracle worker" so to speak but I have seen noticeable slight improvements so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Silky soft skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a delux seven day sample of Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum in the April 2017 beautorium - thank you, BH! I have been really enjoying sampling this product. This serum is designed to help restore the skin, strengthen the skin's moisture barrier and assist in our ongoing battle with signs of aging. The capsules are pretty easy to use - you twist the tab a few times and the serum comes dribbling out, ready to be used. The serum itself is quite runny and has an oil like consistency. However when it is applied to the skin, it leaves the skin feeling instantaneously silky smooth and hydrated. I applied it generously to my entire face and my neck and I still found that one capsule contained too much product and I tended to have some left over.

I remember seeing them trial team tested on BH so I was interested to use this product for myself. I am only 23 so I cannot really comment on the element of "youth restoring", however I can comment on how it made my skin feel and appear after use. I have used this product in two different ways. The first way I used it was after I cleansed and moisturized. I noticed an instant difference in the feeling of my skin, it felt softer and it locked in my moisturizer for longer than usual. I also used this product under my makeup. For me it was an absolute winner here, I found it made my skin look plumper and it added an element of hydration. When I wore it under my makeup, my skin felt softer, my makeup on stayed on longer and my skin didn't feel dry when I removed my makeup. The capsule itself is a really interesting design. I found it a little tricky to open the first time (I wasted a fair bit of product), however I did quickly get the hang of it. I was so surprised how that tiny amount of product was so economical, one capsule is more than enough. I noticed that my skin was brighter and softer after using these capsules. Thanks BH for letting us sample another great product.

I have been using it for about a week now and already within a couple of days I noticed a difference-my skin looks brighter and hydrated and looks and feels a lot plumper. I tried using quite a lot and also a small amount-both worked no better than the other so I only use the smallest amount. I use this on my face and neck and in the morning and evening. The packaging itself it pretty lux and easy to carry the small capsules around for after the gym shower or travelling.

I used these capsules last week and was very impressed. I used them before my moisturiser morning and night. A light weight texture that glided on my skin so easily. My skin was instantly hydrated and felt so soft and protected. During the day after I had applied my moisturiser, my makeup glided on so well. I found that it also lasted better throughout the day. After using it at night time my skin looked fresh and bright the next morning. With no real fragrance, it didn't leave that drying feeling. The capsules are so easy to use and being a single use product, it makes them ver hygienic. I love the packaging- sleek and modern! While they are quite expensive, definitely a product to consider.

I was very surprised as I'm not yet 27 and think I'm a bit young for this. I don't think I'd buy these as the price is waaaay over my budget. The little capsules were very cute. They took a few tries to open and then the serum just flowed out! I found it to be a lot and it was quite thick- felt like I was smoothing on oil, all the way down my face, neck and chest area. Took ages for it to feel like it had absorbed. Despite all this, I think it made my skin feel smoother and clearer. Bonus for not making my face breakout in pimples (surprising as it's also that time of the month and I've come down with a cold- both triggers for pimples). Would definitely recommend this to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Luxurious serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elizabeth Arden ceramide capsules were something I had seen before but never tried. After receiving my beautorium purchase in the mail this was one of the products that came with. It was a sample of several of the ampoules which I was always curious about. I wasn't sure if it was really target for my skin as even though I'm always for using skincare products that are anti ageing, I suffer from pigmentation, acne and large pores so even though I was skeptical about how it would work I figured I wouldn't know unless I tried. The whole concept of these capsules are very unique as you have to break the twisty top open and then gently squeeze the capsule to get the serum out. The capsules help preserve the product and keep the active ingredients from losing its potency. Each one has the exact same amount so you never have to guess how much to use which prevents any wastage. The serum was oil based but didn't feel too heavy on my skin. It did take several minutes for it to absorb so I had to wait awhile before I could go straight to bed or else the product would end up on the pillow. It definitely packs a punch in terms of hydration. I applied it to my face as well as my neck and décolletage. After several days of usage I found that my skin felt a lot smoother as if it had exfoliated my skin, making the texture much softer. My skin tone looked a bit brighter as well. It's a really nice, luxurious product that worked well but would probably be more suited for those with more dry skin.

The box looks and feels like there are precious little gems that would do good for your skin. The only disadvantage is that the lid opens too easily and does not lock well in place allowing it to only be stored in an upright position. The capsules itself have the right amount and easily glide on the skin leaving enough product for coverage on the face, neck and décolletage. The serum itself is very very light and absorbs very well on the skin without making it oily. Its not heavy like other serums and works very well at night leaving the skin feeling quite plump in the morning. I used it twice a day and found that it acts as a primer over my makeup. It does not smell and has a neutral odour. After a few weeks, I could see the improvement on my face as my patchy skin seemed more smoother and the dark spots looked faded. Also, my skin looked younger and fresher especially in the mornings when you wake up. A lot my hydrated.

The packaging is unlike any other skincare serums I have seen. The container is nice but the little capsules feel cheap and are not as easy to use. The product itself is clear in colour and doesn't spread as much as you would think. Each capsule contains enough for me to cover my face and parts of my neck. The product has no scent. The serum feels very much like an oil and doesn't dry so I wouldn't recommend using it before you put makeup on. It does however feels amazing on the skin and leaves the skin feeling just as amazing. I'm very impressed at how fast it has worked on my dry patches. If you have the money it is worth the splurge.

I would repurpose the pot to keep my jewellery in because it has a nice pop up lid. It is a nice feeling holding that deluxe pot every day, makes me feel like a princess. Inside the golden pot are Golden "Pearls" of Beauty. These capsules hold ample of serum to do your whole face , neck, décolletage and shoulders. very generously packed. To be honest I found one capsule contained more than enough serum for at least two uses. I enjoyed the generous amount of serum in one capsule. I tend to use only half a capsule in the morning and preserve the rest for the evening but it can be a bit messy sometimes. I had to take utmost care to store the half used capsule upright in a small airtight container. I love the fact that the serum is hygienically packed in the capsules. Those capsules are so handy if you are travelling. No need to pack the whole jar just take enough capsules in an airtight bag to last throughout holiday. The capsules can be twisted off to reveal the serum. The serum is so rich and has a smooth silky oil texture. I could hardly smell a scent, therefore it is safe to say that the serum is odourless. The serum is so nourishing on my skin. When I first applied the serum on my skin, it felt so fresh and radiant. I enjoyed massaging the serum into my skin. The serum takes a while to absorb therefore I love massaging my face to allow the serum to sink in right through my skin. It is so hydrating that I felt that I did not need any moisturiser after I applied this serum. After a weeks use my skin felt so smooth and soft. My skin looked plumper and hydrated. I had some dry patchy skin around my chin area which improved tremendously. After using it for three weeks , I can notice a positive difference in my skin. The area where I had large pores looks so smooth. I also feel that it has improved my skin tone a fair bit. I also notice a huge difference on the texture of my skin. My skin is plump, fresh and revived. I found the serum also had a subtle exfoliating properties which is a good thing for ageing skin. I had some hormonal pimples which healed faster and my skin just flaked off revealing clear skin. This capsules has nourishing ingredients to moisturise your skin as well Ceramides to act as a barrier, protecting your skin from external damage. To conclude , I agree within three weeks I did notice an improvement in my skin. My skin looks fresh and healthy. It is so smooth that I almost don't need to exfoliate . My cheeks are firm and plump. I will continue using these capsules as I feel they are working for my skin.

Enclosed in a gold cardboard box and a beautiful gold container that will look stunning on your bedside table. Not to mention it's a one click to open container! The products come in individual capsules, gold capsules of course, this is to ensure the freshness of each dosage. One capsule will be plenty for 2 faces (you and your partner). Or you can use it all over your face, neck chest and back of your neck, it's a very generous dosage! I love that I get to open one every day. I've been holding onto the body of the capsule gently and cutting the top off with a pair of scissors, however you are able to nip the top off with your finger nails just be careful not to squeeze too hard otherwise you may experience some spillage. The serum itself is heavy duty, it is thick and creamy, I initially thought it might be too thick for my face and I might break out but it acted as a cocoon for my face in the evening, I didn't not break out and my face looked plump in the morning. The scent is not pungent or overpowering. The fine lines on my forehead were less noticeable, my skin appeared very hydrated. I have only been using this serum in the evening as I feel that it is slightly too heavy in the morning. I love that I can now take my serum on the go, the capsules are such a great idea and perfect for travel i am at the age where I am starting to more lines and I feel that this serum is the perfect tool to repair and prevent. I learned ceramide is a naturally occurring lipid in our skin that reduces with age, by 40y.o it would have been reduced by 60%!! So get on it ladies! I highly recommend this product! The only thing is the price, it is quite dear, a month's supply can set you back $150, you can stretch it out to 2 months of serum if you use a capsule over 2 days I suppose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intensely Hydrating & Smoothing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Elizabeth Arden's Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum, is an incredibly hydrating ceramide serum. The product looks luxe, thanks to the little gold tub, which holds all the serum capsules. I like that the serum is contained in individual capsules, which you twist open to reveal a intensely hydrating serum. This means, that the serum is kept fresh and safe from ingredient deteriorating oxygen. The packaging is also fantastic for travel. You do however, get A LOT of serum per capsule, I would even say to much. One capsule has enough serum for 2 generous applications. If you apply to much serum, it can feel a little thick and greasy, so you only need the smallest amount be application. The serum plumps fine lines and hydrates the skin. My skin looked very healthy after each application and with time, it improved the overall appearance of my skin (less tired and grey). Skin feels incredibly smooth after each application and protected from the elements and pollution. It is also a great serum to use over other lighter serums (especially those containing drying and irritating retinol or acids). As you get a generous amount of serum in each capsule, it is a good reminder to also look after your neck and chest area. I don't believe the serum has much of a scent, so those with sensitive skins or sensitive noses will be safe and happy! The serum also did not make my combination skin break out - despite it's richness.

The individually packaged doses - in little chubby, squishy ampoules - were very generously sized so that I could use one dose for my entire face, neck, decolletage and shoulders too! So there is plenty of this ceramide serum to use every time I opened one up. For the first two weeks I used one in the morning and one at night but after that I found that my skin was so hydrated I could kick back a gear and apply one just for night time useage. I found this worked much better for my skin on many accounts and I think that tweaking the useage of this product is key to success with it. I found my skin was absolutely drenched with moisture after two weeks - and that was the name of the game with this rich, easy-spreading fine serum. So after two weeks useage (and I'm now into my fourth week) I found that using it just once at day (at night) to be plenty for my oily combination skin type which is also pimple-prone by the way. I did notice a breakout during the first and second week but this could very well have been owing to hormone changes and not this serum. I did notice that my zits disappeared much quicker than they have done before though and I think that is because of the way this ceramide serum accelerates skin turn-over to mimic the way young skin does. I liked that a lot about this serum! My skin looks fresh, hydrated and clear and I'm nearly at the end of my fourth week now. I feel like I've found a happy balance with these high-end serum ampoules. I will continue to use them. I liked the luxe quality soft-close and easy press-down-on the lid type of container. It is a gold large round container holding sixty ampoules but there is also a smaller sized container cylinder which holds 30 ampoules. There is no scent and it's colourless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you beauty heaven for the chance to trial this product! The Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules are the new and improved versions of the old capsules. They come in "single dose" format, and the capsules are stored in a luxurious tub. There are 60 capsules which, if used once a day would last 2 months or twice a day would last 1 month. I am excited about ceramide because it works on the skin barrier and at an intercellular level (I am always a little skeptical when skincare claims to work at a deep intracellular / nucleus level becuase of the unknown level of penetration). The formulation also contains a beautiful cocktail of fatty acids which is known to be beneficial to the skin. The capsule twisting technique took a while to master. The serum is transparent, very smooth and for me it feels more like an "oil" rather than serum. It is easy to spread on moist or dry skin, but I prefer to use the serum on moist skin as it absorbs better. I also found that one capsule contains way too much serum for face and neck so I brought the serum down to my chest and boobs (and there is still half a capsule left!!) After just 2 to 3 days of use I noticed a DRAMATIC difference to the texture of my skin in my chest and surroundings. It's an area that I usually neglect. My skin is smooth, supple and really soft. It is as though my skin has been completely retexturised. This is the case even immediately after shower when all the product has been washed off. I have never quite experienced such a dramatic result with any skincare product! Initially I replaced my serum (containing hyaluronic acid) with the capsules. However, I found that after 5 to 7 days my skin (especially my face) felt slightly tight, although it still looked smooth and radiant. Since the capsule is oil based rather than water based, I suspected that my skin is craving water. Therefore in the morning, I switched back to use my hyaluronic acid serum but then followed by the capsule. I actually think that with the added mositure in my skin the capsule seems to absorb even better. Whereas at night, I use the capsule every night but depending on how my skin feels on that particular day I may or may not use a hyaluronic serum beforehand. The capsule is so hydrating there is no need to put on a night cream afterwards. At the end of the 3 weeks trial I am so happy with the results - my skin feels smooth, soft and supple all the time. My skin looks radiant. The biggest retexturisation remains to be in the chest area, but I am also very happy with the state of my skin on the face and neck. One additional bonus - I do not feel I need to exfoliate my skin as often (I was only doing it once to twice a week previously anyway; I have only exfoliated my skin twice during the 3-week trial). When I can feel my skin this smooth there is really no need to exfoliate more often than necessary. In the 3 weeks' trial I did not notice any difference to deep set wrinkles/fold lines on my neck but I am not sure if it's because I haven't been using the product long enough. I also haven't noticed any change in pigmentation as yet. The serum itself is a 5 star product, no doubt. However, I am taking 1 star away because there is way too much product in one capsule for a single use, and it causes too much wastage. A box of 60 capsules adds up to 28mL, if packaged in a bottle it would probably lasts me 3 months using twice a day. I would definitely repurchase if it can be used at this rate. However because of the capsule format, a box of 60 will only last a month if used twice a day, which makes the price point too high. I have experimented using only half a capsule at night and save the other half for the morning but it is a bit fiddly and also I am not sure about the product stability in open air.

This rich feeling oil was pleasantly fragrant and a few drops glided easily across my skin leaving it feel hydrated, alive and fresh. I did prefer using this product at night. It felt like a decadent treat to use such a fresh little capsule of goodness. Travelling with these capsules is a delight as they do not break easily. A word of warning, do not squeeze the capsule too tightly when twisting it open. The golden oil will squirt everywhere!

The serum feels a little too greasy for my liking.It is very fiddly when you open the capsule and the product runs out can be a bit messy. I would prefer a serum in a bottle as it would be easier and less messy when you have to apply. The serum is very moisturizing and good for dry skin but I didn't like the greasy feel of the serum .If you have very dry skin this might be ideal for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product with a purchase and I must say it is great, hydrated my skin and left my skin feeling very soft after only a short time of using the serum. I feel that the product packaging is not great as I never needed to use as much as there is in one capsule, so you have to place the opened capsule into a plastic container to keep it for the next time. I would like to have the product in a jar,this would make it easier to use.

I'm reluctant to give a good rating for how this product made my skin feel upon application, however. Imagine a cleansing oil, but not rinsing it off. It felt very strange for me and the instructions say to use morning and night after cleansing. Morning? Um I don't think so... I only used it at night, let it sit for a bit and applied moisturizer. The next morning my skin felt very soft. It's quite runny so even though I well avoided my eye area, it somehow got in my eyes after a while and caused a bit of irritation. Overall it's a very nice product, but I'm not sure I myself would keep using it, and my partner's not very happy with me going to bed with a greasy face!

I found it very hydrating which is nice, I have dry skin and usually use a hydrating serum at night and this was comparable for hydration but it did feel a bit filmy after application. I don't like the packaging however, the capsules are a bit fiddly and I kept losing product in the process of opening them, plus it seems like an awful lot of waste.
