General Information

- Relieves 4 Cough & Cold Symptoms: Cough, Nasal congestion, Body ache, Headache and Muscle stiffness.

- 8 hours of relief from cough and cold

- Active ingredients in Vicks VapoRub work in two ways: 1) By Inhalation - Medicinal vapours help relieve nasal congestion.; 2) By Stimulation – Rub in. VapoRub Acts directly on the skin, warming away muscular aches and pains

- Suitable for adults and children above 2 years old

- Available in two pack sizes: 50g | 100g

Don’t let cough and cold come in the way of you and your family’s sweet dreams. Vicks Vicks VapoRub Chest Rub Ointment provides up to 8 hours relief from cold symptoms so you can enjoy a full night of restful sleep, even with a cold.

Suitable for adults and children above 2 years old.     

Vicks VapoRub contains cough suppressants. So if you want a good night’s sleep for the whole troop (For children 2 years and above), gently apply VapoRub on chest and throat before bedtime to reduce coughs due to cold. A loving massage will also soothe cold induced minor muscular aches and pains such as sore muscles and blocked nose.

KEY FEATURES

Directions

For temporary relief of nasal congestion and coughs associated with colds. Use on chest and throat. Rub on thick layer at night and/or morning. Keep clothing loose to let the vapours rise to the nose and mouth. May be covered with a dry, soft cloth if desired.

Steaming Application Method:
Part fill a bowl with steaming water (not boiling) and add 2 teaspoonfuls of VapoRub. Then gently inhale the steaming vapours with a towel over your head and bowl. Children should be closely supervised to avoid scalding. May be repeated up to four times a day. Discard bowl contents after use. For temporary relief of minor muscular aches and pains. Use on sore muscles. Rub into skin up to four times a day or as directed by a doctor.

USAGE ADVICE

DOSAGE: For nasal congestion and coughs: • Rub-on: Adults and Children 2 years and above: Rub a thick layer on chest, neck and back. • Steam Inhalation: Adults and Children 6 years and above: Partly fill a bowl with steaming water (NOT BOILING) and add 10 mL (2 teaspoonfuls) of VapoRub. Then gently inhale the steaming vapours with a towel over your head and bowl for 10-15 minutes. May be repeated up to four times a day. Use with care to avoid scalding. For muscular aches and pains: • Adults and Children 2 years and above: Rub on affected areas up to four times a day or as directed by a physician.

I remember my Mother rubbing Vicks on my chest and back and also putting it in a bowl of hot water and having us kids breathe it in with a towel over our heads to clear our noses and chests. You are always my number one go to.

I love the smell and the tingly burn you get when you apply it under your nose, on your chest or even on the soles of your feet. This is for sure my go to product during winter and I find using Vicks means I generally don't need cold/flu tablets which can only be a good thing. Highly recommended.
