OPTIFAST VLCD is classified as a very low energy diet (VLED) and not a formulated meal replacement. A VLED can be used as a total diet replacement, meaning you can replace all 3 meals with specially formulated VLED products, such as OPTIFAST VLCD. With a formulated meal replacement, you can only replace 1-2 meals per day.

Directions

Add one sachet of OPTIFAST VLCD to 200-250mL of cold or warm water. Stir, blend or shake to dissolve. Do not use boiling water. All prepared products should be tightly covered and consumed within 4 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated. Note: Discard any unfinished product that has been heated.

Made with ice and 200mls of ice cold water, then blended it turns out almost like a iced coffee. I actually enjoy having this shake and could happily drink more. If you are a coffee addict, add a teaspoon of instant coffee to the mix before blending for extra oomph. There may be cheaper weight loss shakes around but I have found Optifast to be the best taste wise and nutrition wise. Highly recommend Optifast. Almost 80 kilos lighter since I started just over 11 months ago.
