General Information

Numit 5% Cream 30G

Size: 30g

Warnings

For external use only. DO NOT APPLY NEAR EYES. Do not use on broken skin. Do not apply to large areas of the body, except on the advice of a healthcare practiioner. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Lidocaine (Lignocaine) 2.5% w/w Prilocaine 2.5% w/w

Directions

Instructions for use on intact skin 1. Ensure the skin is clean and dry e.g. remove makeup. Press out a sufficient quantity of cream (about 2g) at the site of the procedure. 2. Apply an occlusive dressing or a plastic film. If using plastic film it should be stuck on with adhesive tape. Paper framed dressings are also suitable 3. Cover the Numit cream so that you get a thick layer underneath. Do not spread out the cream. Smooth down the dressing edges carefully to avoid leakage. 4. The time of application can easily be marked directly on the occlusive dressing. N.B. Numit must be applied at least 1 hours before the start of the procedure and may be left on several hours without loss of effect. For split skin grafting Numit must be applied 2 hours beforehand. Forprocedures on adult male genital skin, Numit must be applied 15 minutes beforehand. .5. Immediately before the procedure, the occlusive dressing will be removed, the Numit cream wiped off and the area cleaned with alcohol. Duration of effective skin anaesthesia will be at least 2 hours after removal of the occlusive dressing.  See enclosed leaflet for full instructions before use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't go without This is great for dermarolling. It helps so much with the pain. Couldn't go without it. I did notice it has a limited working time, though. At first I left in on (my face) for the whole 1 hour or more and it numbed very well; The next time I left it on as long it was almost like I never had it on at all! I realised the next time after that that - as I felt my face with my hand after application - it starts to numb after about 20 minutes then after about 40 minutes it will begin to wear off. So after realising this I made sure to time around 30 minutes to wash off and work to have the best numbing. Not sure why it worked so well the first time, maybe it was just the slight relief that was so good! Definitely recommend working when it starts to feel numb if you want the maximum benefit.

I remember some laser clinics used numbing cream on me before procedures such as microneedling pen until they decided to cut costs that I had to buy myself. I apply it to my face and leave it for 45 minutes prior to treatment with cling wrap over it. Numit doesn’t work that different to EMLA. The price is not that much different. They both require 45 minutes on the face prior treatment and lasts typically some 2 hours later. It is effective especially on the fatty parts of the face (so watch out with the forehead and jaw). I also use it on the balls of my feet when I need to wear stilettos for a period of time and it works like a dream.

Used this as directed for 2 hours and wiped off in the toilets before the vaccination. I had to ask the nurse if she'd done it because I didn't even feel it. Second time I felt it a tiny bit. I no longer have a dread of needles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for laser tattoo removal I got a tattoo and started having it lasered off immediately after it healed because the tattoo artist mucked it it. At my first appointment I came to realise that the laser process is excruciating so I was recommend to use this Numit numbing cream to take the edge off the pain and that exactly what it does. It didn't take the pain away from the laser but it certainly made it more bareable for me. It contains Lidocaine (lignocaine) 2.5% w/w and prilocaine 2.5% w/w and can't last for 2-4 hours

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Numit I love that this is Australian made, affordable and easy to find in chemists. I use this product before any procedures I am going to get as I can't stand the pain. Mainly microneedling and laser. I apply to clean dry skin and I only need a thin layer. It spreads easily and gives great coverage. Within 30minutes it actually makes my face reasonably numb but I can still feel things which is good as it's best for pain and tolerance. I like to give it at least 30 to an hour to work. It washes off easily. It's affordable - only need a small amount. It's a great product to use before procedures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff works I am a real baby when it comes to needles and I freak out. I was going to the pharmacy to get a flu vac and the pharmacist told me about this numbing cream. I put it on about 45 mins before my needle and didn't feel anything. I think it would be fab for anyone getting eyebrow tattoo, facial procedures or kids getting needles. It's pretty well priced and comes in small and large size tube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle cream I bought this cream to use while getting a tattoo done. It's the first time i opted to use a numbing cream but did so as it was a rather large piece on my ribs. I was very hesitant but surprised that i sat through the 3 hour session with no to very minimal pain, i did start to feel the procedure after about 2 and a half hours which was better than feeling the entire thing. Highly recommend this cream.
