I have heard about dietary collagen supplement for a very long time but I have never really spent time looking into it. I received these Nature's Way Beauty Collagen gummies from BH 10th Birthday Party. My first thought was, as I was taught in Biochemistry 1001, all proteins are broken down into amino acids (which are the protein building blocks) in the gut, so there is probably not much benefit to take "collagen" supplements as long as the overall protein intake is sufficient in the diet. However, I did an ncbi search and scanned a few papers relating to collagen intake, and I found this in a 2015 paper in the Journal of Medicinal Food: "Although it is generally believed that collagen-derived products are hydrolyzed into amino acids in the gastrointestinal tract before being absorbed into the blood circulation system, there is considerable evidence showing that peptides can be absorbed partially intact. Several human and animal bioavailability studies with orally administered collagen peptides have shown that food-derived collagen peptides are absorbed mostly as free amino acids like other protein sources, but also as collagen-derived peptides. Therefore, orally ingested collagen peptides are able to cross the intestinal barrier and enter the blood circulation system, from where they are transported to the skin. Inside the target connective tissue, collagen peptides affect the metabolic processes of the skin." WOW. So, there is a small amount of a specific form of collagen that would be absorbed as peptides rather than free amino acids. Interesting As to the specific type of collagen peptide used in these gummes (Verisol), a study has been carried out in 2014 with the following parameters; -114 subjects in total split in groups (receiving Verisol/placebo) - women aged 45-65 years - each receive 2.5 g of Verisol or placebo, once daily for 8 weeks - assessment of eye wrinkle formation and stimulation of procollagen I, elastin and fibrillin biosynthesis in the skin Long story short, there was a statistically significant reduction of eye wrinkle volume, and a higher procollagen type I and elastin in the Verisol-treated subject VS Placebo So there is some scientific evidence that this may work. Note the study has been quite specific. Women aged 45-65 years (I'm outside this bracket); 2.5g of Verisol once daily for 8 week (I have done like, 4 days). The suggested dosage of 3 gummies per day is bang on. (1 gummy is 4g containing 21% of Verisol, meaning each gummy contains 0.84 g of Verisol, so 3 gummies would total up to 2.5g) I have been taking these gummies for about 4 days. No visible results yet (wasn't expecting any in this short period of time) but I absolutely love the gummies. They are bouncy and juicy and does not have any unpleasant aftertaste. The best part is I would limit myself to eating 3 a day as that is the recommended dose (whereas I can finish a bag of Allens lollies in one go!)They are a very good alternative to other snacks and I will certainly be purchasing some of these in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 2663anne from So yum I would never have purchased Collagen Gummies for myself, I’m just not a vitamin person but I was happy to try them after receiving them in the BeautyHeaven 10th birthday goodie bag The gummies are an unusual shape and colour (they look like nipples) but have a nice raspberry taste, not at all artificial which is very surprising It’s too soon to know if the gummies are having any effect but in my short time my skin seems to be smoother and more even toned.

One of my friends was over at my house today and saw the product on my kitchen bench. Like me (at first) she was quite curious and intrigued. "Do they really work?" she asked. Well.. After having tried them for a few days, in conjunction with my other daily skincare rituals; I would say a resounding yes. My skin is softer, and I am surprised that they're not overly sweet either.

Its a beauty collagen gummy taken orally to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, firms skin and increase its elasticity. Collagen helps keep our skin looking young, smooth and firm. As we age, the body's production of collagen declines and thats where we need external help to maintain the youthfulness of our skin. I have to be honest, I was a little dubious about this claim, so I looked up studies on this topic in the online peer-reviewed scientific journal ncbi. To my surprise, various studies conclude that oral intake of collagen does indeed improve skin hydration after 8 weeks of intake, the density of the dermis increases, and the fragmentation of the collagen network decreases after only 4 weeks of oral intake. So I've tried the berry flavored gummies for a few days now and it tastes tangy but with a bit of an after taste. You can either chew or suck on the gummies and have to take up to 3 gummies a day for best results. The gummies are 99.8% sugar free and each gummy has 9 calories each. It does contain gelatin so for those of us who don't like taking it, there are other options such as the powdered form from the same brand. As anti aging is a priority for me, I'm relieved to realize I don't have to drink the blood of a unicorn to maintain my youthful skin, gimme Nature's Way Collagen products instead.

The gummies are supposed to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, firms skin and increase its elasticity as it says on the packaging. Collagen helps keep our skin looking beautiful and fresh. We are all getting older and I am now in my fifties, so looking after my skin is a sensible thing to do.I have started my second lot but am yet to see any effect on my face, not sure if I am going to buy a third as they are not cheap.

I am an older lady so I feel any help can't hurt. My routine is to munch on the gummies (they taste great) whilst getting breakfast ready.

I bought this on sale because I was getting desperate wit my post-baby hair loss, so even if I knew these do not work, or there was little evidence it worked at all, I was full of hope. BUT many can say this is good because it is sugar-free (99% so almost), still they used some type of sweetener here. It’s a beautiful berry flavour like any other berry gummy in the shops, but because this did not do anything for me, $15 for a pack of berry gummies no matter how yummy doesn’t make sense to me. So obviously I didn’t repurchase. I will ditch the collagen supplements from here on. Biotin is a supplement that I had proven to work for me by strengthening my nails so I’d rather purchase those.

The gummies are strawberry tasting but they are not that sweet. The gummies are soft and 3 gummies is one serve. Three gummies is one serve so the gummies if you were to take them every day would only last 13.3 days. Seems like a lot of money to me. Easy way to get your collagen however for your skin.

I have heard that eating collagen (eg. bone marrow soup, fish skin) is good for your skin and hair but I do not routinely take any collagen supplements. I had previously tried a powder collagen supplement but didn't like the taste. I enjoyed the taste of these Nature's Way Collagen supplement. They taste like a giant sized berry Jol gummy (same artificial taste that is not too sweet). I did not mind having to eat three of them a day as they were nice and made me feel like I was eating candy. I would prefer to have a once-a-day supplement but it doesn't deter me from this product. As I currently have severely damaged nails (peeling, brittle, slow growth, dull) and bad skin (acne, redness, scarring), I was hoping to see some positive results. Unfortunately, the tub only contains the equivalent of 12-13 days of supplements and it was not enough to see a change in my nail health. I believe you need to take vitamins/supplements for at least a 6-8 weeks before you can see any difference. I originally thought that the tub I received from the BIB marketplace event was a trial size so you would get more gummies when you bought a full size tub. But after checking the product online, it seems that this is already the full size. I don't know how the price compares with other collagen supplements on the market but I feel like $20 for under a fortnight's worth of product seems a bit expensive. You would need at least 3-4 tubs just to see if there are any improvements.

I have been eating them but not for long enough to notice any difference to my hair, nails or skin. I'm finding them quite easy to eat as they are sweet and tasty with no weird aftertaste. They are definitely very palatable. The recommended dose is to eat three gummies a day which means that one tub doesn't last very long... less than two weeks' supply. If I were to take a collagen supplement on a more regular basis, I would consider this one again because of the taste. I would have to compare the price to other products though as it seems a little expensive.

But this one is extra bad at that - way too chewy, can't taste much and felt like eating rubber. Sorry for being so negative about this but while I care about the concept of being beautiful from within, I also care about enjoying the experience. Love the color but rest was just bit Meh! for me - don't like the tub that feels like very cheap plastic, don't like the taste and texture (which I mentioned already), fragrance is fruity but sort of like mixed with rubber and also don't like that it contains gelatin. In a nutshell - can't finish the tub so can't comment of effect of this product - but taking it from a friend who did manage to finish this product, it didn't do much for her skin and hair either. So, now even less motivated to try out the powder or tablet form.

But I'm not so sure about the effectiveness of it. I look after my skin pretty well topically, so I really can't tell if it makes the difference eating the gummies. My hair and nail also seem to be the same. If you have spare cash, then definitely go for - it's probably harmless. But if you look after yourself, not sure if it's necessary to take them.

I personally would prefer a one a day gummy and a pack that lasts a whole month or at least 2 full weeks. As the pack stands there are 13 days and one gummy left over which means that it's not a product that you could purchase on your fortnightly shop as you ne would short one day, which I find inconvenient. I am unable to say how this has improved my skin as I think feel the results wouldn't show in a 2 week period and I have noticed any changes. The gummies are however tasty and sugar free which is a plus.

For me, $20 per fortnight (well 13 days actually) is quite a lot. Over an entire year (assuming they are not discounted) you’re forking out around $550. I’m also sceptical of things that suggest you take three as a dose, I mean why not just make a single gummy the correct dose? Not to mention that even primary school kids know 40 does not divide by 3 without a remainder, so why not make a bottle have enough gummies to complete the full fortnight... marketing. Nobody wants one gummy left, so they have to buy another bottle. Oh and at the end of that bottle they’ve got two left, so they have to buy at least one more bottle. Ok, scepticism aside, I had a fairly decent cat scratch to the eyelid one week ago (totally accidental, freakish circumstances), but i’m talking 1.5cm long and split open to about 0.5cm. My first aid was pretty good, considering I was doing it with one eye closed at 5am, so I managed to avoid stitches, but it was still nasty and I expected it to take a while to heal. Five days later the wound was fully sealed and remaining scab came off on day 7. Day 8 today and you can barely see the scar, it looks like a plastic surgeon worked on it. So I think the collagen intake may have helped the skin healing process. The flavour of is totally, super, kiddy sweet, so you do kind of get addicted to them. I think it’s supposed to be strawberry, but no real strawberry ever tasted like this.

I do remember how easy they were to take as they are chewable and I much prefer vitamins this way than tablets you need to swallow. I do wish the jars were bigger though because taking 3 a day means you get through the tub pretty quickly. I don't remember noticing any obvious differences to my hair, skin or nails but I didn't take them long enough to give it a chance. They were pleasant to chew on and not too sweet.

There are some pros and cons with this one, which is why I have gone down the middle for this review. The positives of this product is the ease to take. They taste great and I found it easy to munch on the go. The recommended dosage is 3 per day, which means the 40 pack does not last more than a few weeks. I find it quite costly to spend this for only 2 week supply. I have finished the one pack and I think I have noticed a small difference to my skin being a little brighter, but nothing dramatic in this time.

Top marks Nature ‘s Way for being Australian owned and made, this gives me confidence and trust in your product, as we all know Australia has strict quality control rules when only the best goes into products. Also means jobs for Australians, thank you. A delicious sugar free berry flavoured jelly, like eating lollies, it’s hard to stop at 3 which is the recommended dosage. I wouldn’t eat too many as you might find yourself on the run as my daughter did. I’ve been trialling this product for about 2 weeks now , I look forward to eating these delicious gummies every night as an after dinner treat, I don’t need to feel guilty as they are super free and are hopefully giving my skin a collagen boost. It’s a novel and delicious way to get collagen, hopefully it’s doing good , as it certainly taste good.

They are berry flavour gummies that contain type 1 and 3 collagen both of which improve skin hydration and elasticity. They come in a tub of 40 and you take 3 a day - slight whinge, why not 45 which gives a complete number of days. Their favour is natural though not specified in the ingredients and they are quite tasty so very easy to eat. These gummies are Australian owned and made in Australia but unfortunately from less than 10% Australian ingredients. They are 99.8% sugar free though they taste sweet and contain gelatin so no good for vegetarians. I've just eaten my last pink gummie but I haven't seen any improvement in my skin. However you need to take them for longer before you could expect any effect. I do have a sweet tooth so I'm thinking it might be worth me buying more and eating these to try and kill two birds with one stone.

They remind me of little “ripe raspberries” lollies without the raspberry detail on top!They are not too sweet and chewy so easy to eat. It states on the pack that you see results within 4 weeks so it does take quite a while for them to work apparently but I do notice my face looks a bit more radiant since taking them. I don’t know about the collagen part as I don’t really have that issue yet.

I've got a sweet tooth & I found these rather moreish, so I put them out of sight. There are 40 gummies per jar & the suggested serving is 3 gummies per day: that's just less than a fortnight's worth! Info on the jar states that these gummies are clinically proven to show results within four weeks. I haven't noticed any difference in my skin, but it's too soon to expect that I would. It would take two jars (at least) before I should expect to notice any improvement. That makes it hard to rate the efficacy of these gummies. Packaged in Australia from imported ingredients. I know a little about collagen as it's an ingredient in my skin care. It has such a cute pink packaging & the gummies are cute & pretty pink too! It says they are sugar free but unfortunately that means they contain sorbitol & mannitol.. these substitutes never usually go into my body. They contain gelatin too so no good for vegetarians. I tried them anyway to see if I could notice any change! I took three a day. They taste very sweet & are easy to chew. I took them for about two weeks but couldn't notice any effect on my face.

Having received this in the BH 10th bday goodie bag, I was delighted to know this barely contained any sugar! It comes in a plastic pot with a white lid you screw open and close. Inside are pink gummies weirdly shaped like fingers without the nail lol the instructions say eat 3 to 4 a day which means it does not last very long I don't think I saw much difference given how much you need to eat per day. It just tasted super yummy. I'm hoping that it did boost something into my skin in the short time I ate them

It can also help keep skin, bones, teeth and blood vessels healthy. I have been taking these for around two weeks, although I don’t see any changes yet I am sure these vitamins help in the long-term I like that they are sugar free and They do taste yummy too. They don't hurt to take but I will continue taking them to see if I notice any skin changes.

Also the gummies itself is cute looking. I have eaten almost all 1 jar now, taking 3 gummies every night. The thing I do ‘t like is it’s quite chewy and it doesn’t melt/ breakdown easily. So I feel like swallowing bubble gum. The taste itself is good. It clearly has no sugar because my teets feels fine. It also smell good! I’m not sure how long we have to keep consuming this to see the result. I will see how it goes in 2 mths time since I haven’t seen the effect on my skin yet.
