Directions

Cleanser: Gently massage into hair and scalp. Rinse well. Scalp Therapy Revitalizing Conditioner: Apply from scalp to ends. Leave-in for 1 to 3 minutes. Rinse. Scalp & Hair Treatment: Shake well. Apply evenly to entire scalp. Do not rinse.

I was referred this product by a friend because I was struggling to grow my hair or even gain thickness to my hair, not only does this product do both of those, it also gives you a clean and healthy scalp! They say you should notice a difference in a months time and it had only been two weeks I had noticed a dramatic change to my hair! This product smells beautiful and fresh and I seriously cannot believe how amazing it has been for my hair! Absolutely love this product.

I have tried Nioxin before using the No 3 system. I love the peppermint smell and they leave my scalp feeling clean. The treatment is a little small when comparing with the size of the shampoo and conditioner and I feel I will run out of it first. I’m not sure if they actually help with the thinning but they do leave hair clean and smelling lovely.

It’s easy to use and has a minty clinical smell as opposed to your usual shampoos but I suppose this is because it is more ‘medicinal’ like. I didn’t really like the treatment foam though as it seemed to harden parts of my hair after application like after you put a hair mousse/spray in.

I waited a goodwhile before writing this as I wanted it to be accurate. its a solid 3.5 for me.. although it's hitting a 4*. so nioxin4 is designed for coloured hair. I have 6.66 level/coloured hair. The product is actually su0er lovely to use. it Snell's delightful, it cleans the hair and scalp well and I cannot complain at all. I had minimal fall out which given reviews I read I was expecting a lot of that so I was grateful I didn't, and my hair felt fuller and very soft after using.. although I cannot say for certain that's a long term thing or just a "whilst using" thing. So that's the pros. the cons..only one. It released a LOT of my hair colour resulting in me having to re colour extra in the duration I used this as it leached hard. I looked like a serial killer whilst showering courtesy of aforementioned red dye. Otherwise from the trial duration I see benefits. I'm not sure how long term they are but time will tell. worth a try but if you're a faux red head, get the colour boost ready x

With handy packaging in a cute box. I'd want more tingle, however as it doesn't feel as if it stimulates the scalp enough. Red hair, fine to medium and dry. Highly recommended for thinning hair that is coloured. Leaves you with a refreshed, clean scalp optimal for growing thicker, healthier hair.

I have heard great things about the Nioxin range minimising hair loss and improving the fullness of hair. I was therefore very excited to try this kit and have been using the products a few times a week. The kit comes with a shampoo and conditioner which are 150ml in size each, and a scalp and hair treatment which comes in a 40ml foam dispenser pump bottle. All three products have a pleasant fresh, herbal mint scent which is very uplifting and natural. The shampoo lathers well without drying my hair out too much, and leaves my hair feeling clean and my scalp feeling refreshed. Both the shampoo and conditioner contain peppermint, menthol, green tea and citrus extracts which add a cooling, refreshing and slightly tingly sensation to my scalp. They also contain some B vitamins and vitamin E to help strengthen the hair. Overall both products leave my hair feeling soft and full of volume. The scalp treatment foam is quick and easy to apply to the scalp and adds an instant cooling, refreshing sensation. It adds some hold and definition to my hair; the finish feels like a hair mousse. It doesn't feel oily or greasy which is great. Overall I am pleased with the products in the Nioxin kit as they have left my hair with some added volume and my scalp feels healthier. I haven't noticed a huge improvement in my hair loss, but I would be keen to purchase this kit and use the products for longer to see what the more, long-term results would be. I think this a good kit for anyone who wants to try these three products for several weeks.

I’ve noticed the smell stays on your hair which is lovely as it’s a pleasant peppermint. I’ve used the products twice only so it’s difficult to notice any difference. The final step (the foam) left my scalp feeling a bit sore and red but overall I’ve enjoyed the use of these products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leonie C. from Stronger, thicker hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to trial the Nioxin 3D Trial Kit System 4 which is a hair plumping system designed for colour treated hair with progressed thinning. My hair is short and I have it salon coloured every six weeks. I wash my hair every three days and use a blow dryer and hair straightener so I’m very conscious of using hair products to nourish and protect my hair to prevent it from becoming too dry. With age my hair has become progressively thinner particularly on one side of my head. The trial kit contains shampoo (150ml), conditioner (150ml) and treatment (40ml) all packaged in simple white bottles with identifying labels. The tops on the shampoo and conditioner bottles are different colours for easy identification. The products are made in Mexico. The Cleanser Shampoo has a thick gel-like consistency, pale green in colour, with a lovely mint scent. I always double wash but use less shampoo on the second wash. I find with this shampoo I don’t need much at all to work up a lovely foamy lather on my short hair. The shampoo rinses out easily enough. After shampooing, my hair doesn’t feel soft and silky but I can still run my fingers through my hair to separate the strands. The Scalp Therapy Revitalising Conditioner is white and creamy with a medium consistency. Again it has that lovely mint scent which I love. The conditioner is easy to apply all over my hair and, after leaving it to soak in for a few minutes, it rinses out really well. My hair then feels softer than after the shampooing process, but not silky soft, and not matted. I always squeeze the water out of my hair with a towel (rather than rubbing it) to prevent breakage and frizz which rubbing can cause. The Scalp & Hair Treatment comes in a small pump bottle. It is a foam product, again with that lovely minty smell. The idea is to massage the foam over the scalp but I’ve only been using it on one side of my head (the thinning hair side) to see if there is any noticeable difference at the end of the trial period. I don’t put a brush or comb near my hair until I blow dry it to about 80% dry. I then continue blow drying my hair while styling it with a ceramic brush. I then use a hair straightener to finish the process. I notice that on the side where I have applied the treatment my hair is a bit stiffer which helps with the styling process because my hair is then more inclined to stay in place. The results after four weeks: I believe the products are working for me. My thinning side is a bit thicker and stronger and hopefully with continued use this will increase. Because the products have helped with styling I’m less concerned that my hair won’t separate in the thinner areas. I’d consider purchasing these products if I continue to see improvement. Cost wise it’s not too bad because even though the bottles aren’t large I don’t need much product so they would last quite a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Zora Z. from Great Trial Kit for Specific Concerns [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled this 3 part system over the course of a month, using the product once a week, in alternation with my toning shampoo and conditioner as I have coloured blonde hair. My hair is quite brittle and damaged from years of poor maintenance and colour treatments (my own fault, I know!) so it was about time I started looking at ways to repair the damage and scalp care is crucial to that. Over the month, I also changed hair salons, and noticed that they use and stock Nioxin products so I took this as a good sign! Hair thinning has not necessarily been a concern for me, but rather the breakage and lack of length growth so I was interested to see how this product would work. After approximately 5 uses, I have noticed an improvement to my hair. The Nioxin website recommends daily use of the kit to scalp and hair but this was unviable for me personally. There are reparations to the damage and breakage of hair and I do feel continued use would alleviate some of my concerns. The shampoo lathers well and cleans the hair effectively. I felt I needed more conditioner to feel it was making an impact through the hair. The leave in treatment was slightly foreign to me at first as it focused solely on the scalp and not a product that you work through to the lengths of the hair.

All other conditioners make me instantly get a rash like reaction and very itchy. Not 100% sure about the leave in conditioners as it dries hard.

Rated 3 out of 5 by traceym43 from so i followed the [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] so i followed the directions, and i used it a few times, had a slight tingling sensation on the scalp and made my scalp feel really clean, wasnt a fan of the chemical smell, and after a few uses found my scalp was gettimg quite itchy so i had to discontinue use, unfortunately this is not a product i can use. I did notice a slight change in my hair as it did look thicker so i would recommend trying this, not if you have a sensitive scalp tho.
