Directions

1: Mix• Put on the expert colourist gloves provided.• Place plastic mixing tray on flat, stable surface where it won't tip over.• Unscrew the cap from the colour activating lotion (2) bottle.• Empty contents of colour activating lotion (2) bottle into mixing tray.• Unscrew the cap of Permanent Colour Crème (1) tube (previously opened for allergy test - see reverse side of instructions)• Empty contents of permanent Colour Crème (1) tube into mixing tray.• Using the applicator brush, thoroughly mix contents of tray until the colour is completely blended.2: Apply• Gently brush or comb your hair into your preferred style.• Using the applicator brush, apply colour to your most visible roots at the hairline around the face, part and temples.• Make sure you saturate your most visible roots with colour. Don't worry if the colour of the mixture on your hair looks different from your desired colour - when its dry, your colour will be beautiful.• If any colour gets on your skin, wipe it off immediately with a damp towel. Countdown to No Roots• Once you're done applying the colour, leave it on for 10 minutes or the time indicated by your strand test.• Pour any unused colour mixture down the drain. Once mixed, it will lose its effectiveness after an hour.• Tip: if your greys are really stubborn, it may be necessary to leave colour on for up to 15 minutes. 3: Rinse & Go• Rinse hair with warm water until the water runs clear and style as usual. You've got natural - looking colour that will last up to 3 weeks!

I did need a small amount if help to make sure u got the roots at the back, but it was simple enough for my husband to be able to use. 100% grey coverage, I will definitely order another as I’m going to need it over the next 6 weeks!

I am slowly turning grey around my roots and near the ears. I was really excited that there is a product like Clairol Root Touch-up. The instructions were easy to follow and I was immediately excited when I saw the time is 10mins... ONLY 10mins!!! Sometimes I can't be bothered home colouring my hair especially in winter due to the time it takes. The product was easy to mix together in the little plastic tub created. It was no mess. It had little smell either. The brush was easy to apply to my part and my sides. Having the brush meant I was able to use it in both my left and my right. I left it on for a good 13mins and then washed off. I was so happy with the results it looked exactly like the same hair colour and blended so well. I will definitely be repurchasing this product. So easy quick and effective. I would highly recommend, such a great way to retouch the roots or grey without having the hassle of an over-all dye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product for just doing your roots [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the idea of a hair dye product that is just for touching up your roots. I get grey hairs but don't always want to dye my full head of hair, just those bits at the roots, so this touch up wand is a lifesaver for me. It is really easy to apply with the touch up wand, and you can be really precise with which parts of your hair you want to dye, so this is great! After I applied the touch up and washed and dried my hair, I found it did cover the grey hairs I wanted covered up, so it got a 2 thumbs up from me! I would totally recommend this touch-up to anyone like me, who only wants their roots covered (if you have blonde hair with dark roots, or like me, if you have greys to cover.) It lasts only a few weeks, but if you don't have to dye your whole head of hair every time, that is great for someone like me. I will be purchasing this touch-up from now on as it has been a really good product for me.

I had never used a Clairol home hair permanent hair colour previously, so was anxious to try this. As instructed for allergies or reaction by doing a patch test. The scent was quite pleasant, the product blended well and the colour range very good, a great touch was the colour required if the hair was coloured by another brand, such a great idea. (This was printed on the pack). The pack contained everything provided for the hair colouring treatment, full instructions, brush, two colouring products, a dish and spoon for mixing the products and gloves. An easy process and a gererous quantity of product. I was very pleased with the end result and the process was so easy, using the brush provided and the hair sectioned as per the instructions, and so quick, only 10 minutes for me. This can be extended to 15 minutes if required. It's very suitable for any adult with regrowth after hair colouring, it's reliable, blends perfectly and so quick and easy to use.

So thought I'd give this method a try...it was really simple to use and so quick, my roots were completely done in 10 minutes! Matched my already-coloured hair perfectly as well. Clairol Nice n Easy is my go to. The product instructions were clear and the product itself easy to apply. My regrown covered easily as per the instructions and the colour match was good however, I prefer the idea of a full hair colour and conditioning treatment to refresh all over as I noticed my ends were brassier than the roots when dried. Would be great for a choppy short hair style or thin hair but not for long thicker hair as the finished texture is not consistent.

I found the entire thing to be easy to use and enough product for my hair. I wanted to try this, as I usually use Clairol Nice N Easy hair dye to do my hair normally. I like that it didn't just bleach my roots, but had a good toner to keep the colour more natural. There was more product than I expected, so I was able to focus on my roots and blending the roots into my hair quickly at the end, using the left over product. It blended well into my hair and I am happy with the outcome. I would use it again. The brush was pretty good, it's small but does the job for roots and used my gloved hands to rub the rest of the product into the hair bear my roots.

This is a handy, easy to handle little "gadget" to help me when I am too busy and unable to find time to go to the salon when my greys starts peeking. The application was smooth with the "comb" and after washing, my hair did not feel dry although there was no separate packet of conditioner inside the box. I loved that they covered most of my grey ,am sure it will cover better next time with more practice. Affordable, good value and i would recommend anyone to go stock up a few boxes.

I loved that it came with a brush and a bowl. I have thin shoulder length hair so this was the perfect amount and coverage for me. I also love the idea of having that little emergency life saver stored in my bathroom ready and waiting. The product was easy to use and the results were great, it covered my pesky greys and the colour blended well with my hair tone and colour. I would highly recommend any lady to store one at home and use for that in between hair salon appointment.

It coloured the greys for a short while, just didn’t seem to last long enough. Would use it when I am short for time. Fragrance was subtle and not overpowering. After feel of my hair was nice and very easy to manage and style. Easy to follow instructions. No itchy scalp while waiting for the time to lapse which was very good. Price is very reasonable for what it is meant to do, which is root colour touch up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a cream this is a great touch in between colours - especially if you don't have time to get to a salon and might have somewhere special to attend. Ready made kit - comes with a mixing bowl and the colour bottles. I used all of it the first time, and ended up wasting a lot, because I didn't realize that I could mix only as much as needed. The instructions are easy to follow. Not very messy and if you have the heads up then only mix what you need and make the packet last longer. I only have one colour in my hair and it was perfect just to cover my front roots and sides. I would definitely recommend the product and purchase it again myself.

This product was a good match, the instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to use. The only issue is that there is not nearly enough to cover the roots over my whole head so I concentrated on the front. Once rinsed out, conditioned and dried, my hair was soft and manageable. It's a great product - but I would need two of these to cover the roots over my whole head.

I always find it’s my roots that need blending more than anything as my greys are extremely stubborn. The colour I chose was a bit light for my overall colour but the idea of it is great. I do tend to leave a colour on for slightly longer than recommended as to help with the greys blending in but overall happy with the results. Will recommend and reuse when in a bind, but if you need more than just a touch up between visits I’d probably recommend a second box or a full covers colour

The coverage was very good. It even managed to cover all those tough greys and the colour blended in really well with existing colour. There was very little smell while using especially compared to normal hair dyes. The application was good with easy to follow instructions. I chose to leave the product in bit longer as 10 min didn't seem long enough. Not sure that the coverage would be as good if gone with there recommended time. I would definitely recommend it to others as an easy to use in between colour touch up

It comes in a range of shades to suit most. It is easy to use with a small brush for the dye. The process only takes a few minutes with only 10 to 15 minutes waiting before rinsing. It blended in well with my previous hair dye colour (a medium brown). A regular dye would also work but is not as quick and easy. Also I worry about colouring the lengths of my hair too often which makes this product a great solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the product as a touch up on my part and temples which are my grey areas. It was easy to apply and the packaging was easy to use. The enclosed application brush was handy to use with a nice to hold handle. There was not alot of product, as it is just a touch up rather than a full colour. I left the product in for around 15 minutes, which is much faster than my usual colour, and it covered my greys well and blended in quite well with my usual dark colour. It didn’t smell to bad, and washed out quite quickly. The cost of the product is comparable with a full coverage product, but the faster application and development time is definitely a positive factor with this product.

This was easy to use and the brush is great that comes with it. Perfect size and easy to hold and manoeuvre on your hairline. Covers greys really well but also stains very quickly so make sure you prep your hairline with Vaseline. It lasts at least 3 weeks which is great but the application time is definitely not 10 minutes I didn’t have to leave it around 20-30 minutes Overall I didn’t notice much difference between this and my salon grade full hair colour so decent in comparison

The first thing I loved in this kit were the application gloves. I have long fingers so other plastic gloves either don't fit or tear very easily. These fit well and were easy to put on and take off...infact, I have kept them to use again! I worried when I saw how much product was in the box as I have very thick hair and, as it turned out, my concern was warranted, as there was only enough product to colour the top of my scalp and around hairline. Having said that, I was very happy with the colour result and subtle smell. What I did find surprising was that there was no after care conditioner, which is always in my usual colour kit. All in all, a nice product but not for people with thick hair.

My hair growth is too quick due to which I have to do root touch up every now and then. It was quick and easy to use. The creamy texture is also awesome. The brush and making plate is a bonus. The color I used was medium brown and it took 20mins which covered everything even a tiny miny hair on front. Also the shade was exactly my hair match. Only the reason for 4 star rating from my side is that it was not enough to cover my front half head which I prefer to do. Rest the product and it’s usage is great.

My hair if fine but I have lots of it. I usually use salon products but to my surprise it worked really well. I left it on for a little longer than it said and used my own applicator brush. Great to have in the cupboard for an easy and quick touch up especially with lock downs and illness not so easy to get to the hairdresser. It was very easy to use and very effective. It leaves your hair nice and soft and conditioned it well. There is a great colour range for every colour hair. I would highly recommend this product. I will definitely keep some in the cupboard for in between use. So much cheaper than going to the hairdresser for touching up.

Cons: There is just not enough product. I have fine and straight Asian hair and don’t have a lot of hair by all means but this is just enough to cover the top of the hair, sides and a bit underneath . Summary: In saying that, I still do think this is a great product for people who just need a touch up in between salon visits or to extend the time before the next visit. It won’t replace the job your hair dresser does though.

I tried it immediately out of curiosity. I followed instructions and waited for about 20-30 minutes for its effect. Voila! It did cover my grey spots completely. I was worried I hadn't selected the correct colour, but it was perfect. The packaging was very good and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I was very pleased with the results I achieved, the colour blended well with my natural hair colour, there was no obvious distinction of where I had put it, although I did blend it down each section. I wondered if it was worth the time doing just the roots. Doing my whole head of hair wouldn't have been much more time. I have above shoulder hair length and my hair is thin. In saying that, the saving is well worth it when I consider what I pay at a salon every six weeks. Overall a great product.

My package arrived a little bit damaged but I was able to reticence the products from the box which were luckily not broken, I had to wait a week or so to get a bit of regrowth to work with. The instructions were straightforward and I followed them exactly as instructed. I have a few greys around my forehead area and was really hoping for good coverage. Once rinsed and dried I did notice that it didn’t get all,if the greys but that may have been my error. However I was quite happy with the coverage and the colour blended well with my current colour. For the price it’s a good colour to use when you are o poor for time and need a decent result. Definitely recommend.

I usually dye my hair at home and find that there is a stage where I need to do a little touch-up rather than a whole hair stint. This product came in handy for such a time. My greys in between my hair part and sides were showing, so I used this kit to help out covering my grey roots with the dark brown colour shade. The kit comes with a small brush, a bowl, Colour Creme and activating lotion. The mixing of colour and activating lotion was very straightforward and simple to do. I used the brush to help with precise application and then waited for the recommend 10 minutes for development. This kit didn’t supply shampoo and conditioner, so I had to use my own. I felt like my hair needed a little bit more conditioning than usual. Once dried I was satisfied with the coverage. The dark brown shade blended ok for my hair, I might leave it for a little longer next time though. This is a great product for the in-between stages of hair colouring, although I don’t think it lasted the 3 weeks. I would still recommend it for ease of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy back up [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a cream, this is perfect to do touch in between colours, or to extend your current colour. Ready made kit - comes with a mixing bowl and the colour bottles. I will actually get three applications out of it, as I only mix what I need each time. Very easy instructions as you only have mixing to do! So, very easy to use. No mess or waste and you can just mix up what you need. If you need more, just mix more! The colour was perfect for my balayage, so that’s what I used it for. Just put it on 10 minutes before your shower, so very time efficient. I have just put a second application on, and got four weeks in between. Would recommended to keep a box in the bathroom cabinet as a back up. And for a rainy day!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Packs a punch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised the size of the formula and was doubtful if it will ever be effective at all with my thick hair. When I tried it, I found that it didn’t have a strong ammonia smell. The kit came with a small plastic bowl and brush apart from the colouring. I have focused application in the middle top part of my hair and near the edges of my face. Tiny formula but packs a punch. Very effective. I did wish the formula I used was lighter in colour as I had highlights in my hair but impressed that it had covered my greys. Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy for touch-ups [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this product easy to use and quite effective for covering my bit of grey regrowth at my temples and hairline but like all DIY colours nothing seems to hold to the greys for too long. I’ve only given four stars as I still prefer to mix my own colour because I can customise my shade and it’s a lot more economical when I have to cover those greys every couple of weeks but if you’re not confident with DIY and prefer a box dye then this one is actually fairly good. The range of colours is a bit limited so you may need to pull the colour a little further through your hair to get a good blend. I actually prefer the Clairol Root Touch-Up Colour Blending Gel as there are quite a few applications in the tube and although it may not be quite as effective and long lasting as the permanent creme it’s a lot more economical.
