Rated 5 out of 5 by Ageless.beauty from DIY Salon Looking Nails [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was home sick with the flu when there was a knock on my door, a courier waiting with a bag of goodies waiting for me. Not expecting it to be from Beautyheaven, I was very excited to find out what it was, forgetting I was ill for a little while I was literally in Beautyheaven! I cannot believe I was given the whole collection of nail polish, adream come true. There is such an array of colours, so many beautiful shades, Im definitely set for the summer. I haven't tried shellac or UV light kits yet due to bad press on both, I was super interested and excited to try the gel version. Revlon Gel Envy brushes were great. I liked the wide twin head brush, it allowed me to paint my nails smoother and neater than with a thinner brush. From the colours I tried I found the consistency thicker than normal nail polish which I also liked, some colours I only applied one coat whilst others I applied two. I was also impressed on the drying time no difference from normal nail polish. Without the top coat the nails looked really smooth and semi shiny and looked like normal nail polish but as soon as I applied diamond shine coat it completely transformed my nails to professional looking nails. So far the nail colour lasts a good week. Around day 6-7 there are chips at the tip of my nails but I think that is because I type at work and wash lots of dishes. But otherwise they are pretty durable. I was very impressed on how easy they were to remove with nail polish remover considering how thick they went on. I also expected my nails to stain with the brighter colours and they didnt which was a super bonus. I really dislike it when my nails have colour stains on them but I did not experience this with any of the colours. My least favourite would be the shimmer colours as these I found difficult to remove off my nails, but as all shimmer/glitter nail polish its always a challenge removing it. The smell was quite strong but being delirious was a small price to pay for loads of fun. My favourite colours are Checkmate, Royal Flush, Hot Hand, Queen of hearts and Pocket Aces. I am so grateful for being part of this trial, Ive tried colours that I would never of given a second look in the shops and loved them when I applied them. Thank you Beautyheaven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so ecstatic and grateful to be part of the Trial Team for this product, and was blown away by the gorgeous colour selection- I had to try all the colours immediately! I love how the base coat is included with the colours, which makes things much easier and faster. I was worried how that would work, but my nails were protected and the dark colours didn't stain at all. The double brush is interesting, but I can't say it was an impressive feature. If anything it just picked up excessive product and I had to take more care wiping it off. I found all the colours did not apply the same, some were easier than others. As expected, the lighter colours were sheerer and streakier, and did not self level, even with two coats. The dark colours applied brilliantly, and were opaque with 1 coat. The top coat was glossy and shiny and smoothed the polish underneath. The polishes dried quite quickly. They lasted very well, with was very slight tip wear at around 4 days, then a tiny chip at around 7 days. I haven't ever gotten gel nails because I've heard how hard it is to take off, and I've seen it ruin nails. This polish was a little more difficult to remove than my usual polishes, but if I just held the remover-soaked pad for a few seconds then swipe, it came off. And there was absolutely no damage to my nails. On the other hand, the finish was definitely not as glossy and beautiful like gel nails. This was just a tad glossier than other topcoats, but I've tried other topcoats that are shiner. So overall, this is a gorgeous new range with an impressive colour range, staying power and easy application. Whilst not quite like gel nails, it's certainly very glossy. Top marks for being free of formaldehyde and the other harmful chemicals! Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky to trial this as part of Trial team and can't believe how many shades we got! I shared them with some friends in my office to get a wider variety of reviews. Firstly I loved how easy this was to apply. It was easy to achieve great coverage with just one coat of the combined base & colour, and even though I'm pretty sloppy with my application, any spills were easily removed with normal nail polish remover or even just a baby wipe. I have very weak finger nails, and tend to bite them when I'm stressed and I love that Gel Envy gave my nails a bit of extra strength and didn't chip off straight away! One of my friends who tried a deep red shade has had hers on for over a week now and it still hasn't chipped, even though she is a photographer and her job is a bit of a polish chip hazard! Gel envy is super quick drying and so is the diamond top coat. I loved that the diamond top coat set my colour super fast and gave it an extra high shine. I have even had my toenails painted for over a week with no chips yet! The polish was easy to remove from my fingernails with regular nail polish remover and I didn't have to scrub at all to get it off. Gel Envy also has a low odour compared to some nail polishes. I definitely love this product, best nail polish I've ever tried. It gets 5/5 for me - I can't decide whether I love the HUGE colour range or the high gloss shine the most!!

This product is amazing and it truly is salon quality at home! I am blown away with the results. Firstly let me just say this is such and easy product to apply, base coat twice and then top coat once, which seals in the colour, helps your nails shine and quickens the drying process! I found that you needed to wipe the brush when applying, as too much product caused it to peel and not last as long. Secondly, i was impressed with the way this product lasts! It lasted me about 4 - 5 days on fingers and over 2WEEKS!!! on my toes!!!!!!!!! As a busy mum i am more than impressed with these results!! I couldn't ask for more from a home product!!! Especially with the amount of cleaning and dishes i do!!! :) The colour range is amazing and there is a colour for every, mood, outfit and occasion!!! They are all fabulous! The bottles and brushes are great quality and ones id be happy to have on display in my bathroom. The thing that stood out most for me with this product is it reduced my nails from splitting!!! The nail polish actually provided my nails with a thick protection layer! I have not had a single nail split since using this product! This is something that the best nail strengtheners could not even do. Finally, this product even though super long lasting is so easy to remove, it comes of with normal nail polish remover, so i can change my colour as often as i like ...! Fantastic product and i will continue to use it..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a love hate relationship with nail polish, I LOVE beautiful manicured polished nails, but have the dodgiest nails that polish just seems to hate. I can use cheap or expensive polish, base coat, top coat and nothing works! My nails can chip within 24 hrs, even overnight and 2 days is usually the max I can go without polish chipping off. I'm not rough on my nails, just the usual stuff around the home so it drives me utterly crazy. Enter Revlons colourstay gel envy polishes.... I'm hooked! The polish comes in a range of finishes, everything from solid brights to shimmery glittery hues. The names are all gambling related with names like Ace of spades, dealers choice, royal flush etc. They are a hybrid gel polish that requires no base coat, just apply 2 coats of polish wait a few minutes then add the top coat, no need for UV lamps. They dry super fast (within 5 minutes). Meaning even the biggest nail klutz.. Ahem looking at myself here, can manage to do their nails without mucking them up afterwards! The top coat adds a fabulous high shine that I adore and I find I am easily getting 4 days of wear out of them before they start to chip, with the shimmery shades going about 3 days. Major acheivement! I'm in freaking love with both the colours, the finish and the lasting power of these, so much so that I'm considering retiring my old polishes to a basket for my babygirl to use! Revlon has hit a big home run for me with Gel Envy polish. :)

The first amazing thing was that I was sent all the colours!! and I tried every one of them!! (only on one nail at a time of course ïŠ) I loved them all. I might not actually wear the yellow, but it was still a really nice colour. I love having polished nails and have tried a lot of different brands at home, and have also had manicures, gel and non-gel, at salons. So how would I compare the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel? As mentioned before the colours are awesome. I loved the brush, nice and wide, which made application quick and easy, the drying time was good and the finish is beautiful. The shine from the top coat is amazing. My first application lasted about 5 days before I saw any signs of chipping and then only on my index and middle fingers of my right hand, which are always the first to go anyway. The polish on my left hand was pretty much perfect until I removed the polish on day 8. It was easy to remove, even the dark colour I had used (High Roller) came off clean. So it obviously doesn't last as long as an in-salon gel nail, but it is a much cheaper, more convenient, safer (no harmful rays from the lamps), and you can take it off at home without damaging your nails. The only thing that may put people off is the price. If for some people it did only last 5 days, it might not be worth the extra cost, especially if you have to buy the top coat as well to get the best result. Rated 5 out of 5 by g3moStone from Life changing maybe?! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, a big thank you to Revlon and BH for their generous trial. Having thought I was going to receive a single random colour for the trial, it was like Xmas receiving the huge rainbow of colours from the line. I decided to partake in this trial because I am NOT a nail girl. I've tried to have nice nails, but even with the top brands, shellac or professional manicures my nails rarely last longer than a day. In most cases I find polish takes so long to dry I end up with dints and smudges, I get sick of the smell, I muck up my right hand so much I end up with only one hand painted or I get a chip within a day that continues to chip away thereafter. And I've never understood so called 'cult' nail polish brands. I'd basically resigned myself to the fact that my job and lifestyle did not allow for nice looking, manicured hands and nails. And given that I like shorter nails, it's rare to find a polish that doesn't look childish on the odd occasion a polish formula works out. But the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy line may have changed all that. I chose Hold Em for my toenails for the whole trial period, a beautiful violet shade that would suit all skintones (including my super pale winter skin). The polish has held up almost flawlessly even though the weather has been warm enough to get around barefoot on weekends. I've only had to touch up the growth and this worked well over the existing polish - lazy I know, but they're toes! For the first week of the trial on my fingers I chose the dark gunmetal shade Ace of Spades because I wear grey almost every day in winter. The colour required two coats, but I was really pleased to find that the coats dried quickly and didn't streak. The colour looked a bit too murky for my skin tone at first, but I found it improved once I applied the Diamond Topcoat. Even the little fingerprint marks on my thumb disappeared to an even glossy finish once it hardened (in no time at all). The durability was fantastic. The only chips I got were when I managed to nick my fingernail whilst shaving and another where I hadn't tidied up the polish on a dodgy cuticle and it peeled away. Other than that it seemed the top coat kept the polish from further peeling and made it almost impossible for me to mindlessly chip away at the shaving chip. After a week I had much less wear around the ends of the nails than any other polish (including shellac). I could have just made do with repainting the two damaged nails, but I wanted to test another colour and actually looked forward to the process for the right reasons for once. Removal of the polish was actually easier than other polishes and left no staining whatsoever despite the dark colour I had chosen and lack of base coat. For the second week of the trial period I chose the eye-catching cerulean blue shade Wild Card that I am still sporting chip-free as I type. This colour's formula seemed even better than the dark grey to apply. I could have made do with a single coat, but I opted for a second to really make the colour pop, again with no streaking and fast drying times. And the crazy thing is that my right hand is actually neater than my left (I'm right handed). The Diamond Top coat is a stand out on its own and I wonder how it would go over non "gel" polishes. It really does dry to a hard finish, glossy but not at all gluggy, and quick drying. Apart from the easy-to-work-with formulas and the durability of the polishes my favourite things about the Gel Envy line have got to be: - the colour choice - the lack of smell, they really don't have that offensive paint smell, nor do they seem to absorb any smell over time - the lightweight feel on the nail - the shape and size of the brush. It's wide but controllable and has a slightly curved end. I found it really easy to work with and streak free. - the cylindrical bottles make for easy (and pretty) storage and the long wide handle of the brush made for easy opening and painting, even with one hand still a bit tacky. I am so happy I took the plunge and participated in this trial. I now have hands, not just nails, that I am confident to show and actually enjoying giving myself a manicure now. I'm not sure if others had as much success as me, but it's like Gel Envy was made for me. My only issue is - what colour should I try next?! Thanks again BeautyHeaven and Revlon. I might actually brave blood red nails soon and I'm looking forward to testing out the versatile pastel and crazy bright shades in the range in summer.

I thought I would get only one colour to try and I was delighted to get all 30 colours in the range. These polishes are great! The time I've had for the trial enabled me to get three applications. Each time, I got 4-5 days out of them, and I used a variety of finishes, shimmers and cremes. I'm really hard on my hands, and particularly during the course of this trial as I'm currently on a skiing trip. The first three days were only tip wear, usually a result of my typing as part of my job. Yes, I wrapped the colour, but the tip wear still happened. The thing is, three days for a standard polish is great for me! I was very impressed. Also, with the top coat it did dry quite fast. Removal is super easy, I use standard acetone, and it works just fine. No scraping required. The brush is fantastic and makes application a dream. Minimal clean up required. The colour range is lovely. I'd wouldnt mind a few more glitters but I'll be using more of these. A couple of things- you really need to push your cuticles back. It chips from the nail base if you don't. Also, the top coat isn't as glossy as some others I've tried. Finally, and this is particularly annoying, I got really terrible staining on my nails because the instructions said not to use a basecoat. I mean it was epic. It was a blue colour and when I removed it my fingernails were stained so blue the they looked like they were going to fall off from the cold. I really want to see whether I can use the top coat with other polishes to see how it goes but I haven't had a chance yet. Still, a great product from Revlon. Recommend!

I was happy with the range of colours in the collection and how glossy the Top Coat is! I also think the Top Coat provides extra protection and staying power as my nail colour did not chip until the 5-6 day. PROS: - Beautiful creamy consistency (with exceptions, see Cons below). All of my favourites above have a creamy and opaque finish which I love - Top Coat provides glossy shine - Nail Polish starts to chip at 5-6 days for me - Easy to remove (except for the Red polishes) - Colour and Base in One, so speeds up the process of applying nailpolish at home (compared to applying a separate Base Coat, Colour and Top Coat - Quick drying time CONS: - Some of the lighter shades like Checkmate, All or Nothing, In the Money (beautiful though), and Cardshark had a thin consistency and left a streaky finish after two coats. Three or more coats is recommended.

I have always loved the look of salon quality high gloss gel nails but never been a fan of all the chemicals or uv gel lamps for the long term issues they can create. I especially don't have the time or finances to head in salon every few weeks to go through the touch-up or nail scraping process to remove the colour and start again. Ouchies for healthy nails. That's why I now have Gel Eny! I love it and my only frustration is that the colour lasts so well it's going to take me nearly a year to try all the 30 shades available in Revlon's newest range. Thanks to beautyheaven and Revlon I have been able to put this whole range through its paces and see how the nail enamels perform, it's a true nail heaven! All the Colorstay Gel Envy nail polish colours are named using a fun Casino theme and the colour range is supreme with something to suit everyone ranging from pastels, to brights, shimmery fine glitters and nudes. A full rainbow of colours, “Joker's Wild” was my first colour choice. A lovely creamy colour and formula (picture apricot, peach and tangerine combined for a soft coral-esque hue? Pastel-like with a huge twist of rockin' colour punch.) This base and colour in 1 applies fast and easily thanks to its double layered brush. The brush grabs a great amount of polish so my tip is to be sure to swipe it against the top of the glass bottle gently for just the right amount. Two coats were fast to apply as the polish dried rather quickly compared to other nail enamel's I use. It did have the usual nail enamel scent while applying but wasn't overpowering and didn't linger. Looking at the colour at this stage I was already impressed and liked it's hue as well as the fact that the formula's are all formaldehyde, toluene and DBP free. The next step is to add the Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat. This formula seemed very different to most top coats I have used with a thicker, smooth texture. Thankfully it was easy to apply as the diamond coat formula glides across the nail enamel easily coating the entire nail with a gel like finish. I was instantly impressed with the high sheen, glossy look that this gave my nails and how fast they dried. It only took about 2minutes for these to be touch dried and well under 4 minutes for them to be set. This is amazing drying time compared to other gel's and polishes I have tried and a huge plus for someone time poor like me that doesn't have a long time to sit and wait for nails to dry or fuss about with drying drops. From start to finish this process at home took me a maximum 10-12minutes and that includes the 2 base and 1 diamond top coat. The final look is remarkably akin to salon quality and the colour looks flawless. I instantly felt transformed with my nails looking and feeling super fine, high-sheen, glossy, gel-like look and protection and very feminine. They even felt smooth to touch like I had stepped out from a professional manicure and polish. The colours in this range are formulated with optical brighteners to enhance and provide a long lasting colour which these shades definitely do. I'm lucky to last 2-3 days with most nail colours and that can take undercoat, 2 colours and top coat which is time consuming. The Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy has lasted me a great 5 full days before noticing any wear and tear and I really put it through its paces with typing, cleaning, cooking, pets and all those every day activities. The Achilles heel for this formula was when I chopped a large number of strong white onions and their juices managed to work at peeling the tips of the nail polish away from a few nails. Amazingly they didn't chip or split just gently peeled away without any damage to my nails, and compared to how onion juice affects other nail polishes I am still mighty impressed. If this hadn't happened the nail colour would have lasted a few more days without doubt. Removing the shades was as easy as applying my everyday nail polish remover to a cotton pad and wiping it away. Fast, effective and left nails fresh and ready to try a new shade like “Full House” a soft aqua-esque shade. I am impressed with the long lasting wearability of these great colours and gel-like shine as it's an easy DIY system that is fast and leaves me with salon looking gel-like nails without all the nasties. The gel-like appearance seems to help protect the nail and colour and harden them for longer lasting wear without over hardening the formula and nails or looking like false nails which are a huge turn-off to me. Instead of looking at other women's gel nails and loving the look but not wanting to commit to it long term I love that I can change colours without salon visits and that these withstand my day to day activities while remaining fresh and shiny. I can proudly say that I have Gel Envy and love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was such a treat to be able to review the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamels for the Trial Team! I assumed that I would receive one or two colours to try, but no... 30 colours and the Diamond Top Coat arrived! It was like winning the nail polish jackpot (especially with each colour name based around a casino/card game theme). Not only was it great to receive the whole range, but also I found the product to be very good. Actually, really good. The best polish I've tried for some time that wasn't a real gel polish. I think I would have been just as impressed if I had only received one or two colours. I don't really get salon manicures but I do own the Orly Smart Gels lamp and colours which I have really liked wearing. The Revlon Gel Envy enamels compare really well to the lamp-cured Orly gels. If you are looking for gel-like nails but are a bit money-poor and time-poor then the Revlon Gel Envy polishes could be what you are after. The Revlon Gel Envy nails do achieve close to a "flawless, salon-quality colour" with highly pigmented colours and a high gloss finish without streaks. Each bottle has a double brush which does make application easier as long as you make sure excess polish is scraped back into the bottle before applying. Two coats of the colour/base topped with one coat of Diamond Top Coat are all I needed when trying the Yellow (210- Casino Nights) and Blue (440- Wild Card). Both of these colours lasted without chips for at least four days. With other nail polishes (non-gel) I find the chips start appearing on day one or two. Revlon Gel Envy had great lasting power without the prep and curing required for a real gel manicure. (In some ways I wish it hadn't lasted so long so I could have tried out more colours by now!) The formula is free of the three big baddies (so no Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP) which is obviously great. It smells like any other nail polish of similar ingredients. The packaging is sleek black and white and the colours look great through the clear glass bottles. I think it will be a long time until I drag out my gel lamp and polishes as these Revlon Gel Envy polishes are excellent. They go on easily, dry quite quickly, look extremely glossy and well-pigmented and they are very easily removed with normal nail polish remover. I've loved the bright colours I have tried so far and feel cheered up just looking at them. Thank you Revlon and beautyheaven for letting me trial these great nail polishes! I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit that I have very limited experience with gel nails and have only got gel nails done at a salon twice in my life. The reason behind it is I find getting gel nails done at a salon is time consuming plus expensive. I absolutely adore the longevity and shine of gel nails but don't like the fact that I have to pay a lot of money to get them done plus scheduling a nail appointment for a busy working mum like me is a no go. So I was really really thrilled to be involved in the revlon gel envy nail enamel video trial team for Beauty heaven. I really liked the idea of having beautiful gel like glossy shiny nails at home as a DIY nail manicure without the costs involved of purchasing additional tools i.e. UV lamps and gel nail remover scrapper tool etc. The nail polish is a simple 2 step process whereby you apply the basecoat/colour first then apply the diamond gel top coat. It is really convenient that the base coat is built in the nail polish colour itself. So if you are used to applying a separate base coat before you apply colour you would be glad to learn that you wouldn't need to apply a separate base coat with this gel envy system. The base coat is built in the colour so it saves you time and once less process to worry about. The nail polish applies smoothly and I didn't notice any streaks. Most colours are really opaque and only needed two coats to cover my entire nailbed.Most colours are really creamy and intensely pigmented. The brush is a really wide brush which made the application easy and fuss free. However since the brush is wide it picks a lot of product from the bottle therefore you have to make sure you scrape some off on the sides of the bottle before applying otherwise you would get a large blob of polish on your nails and it would make a messy application. Once you get the right amount of polish onto your brush the polish applies smoothly like a dream. The diamond top coat helps to seal in your colour and gives your manicure a nice glossy gel like finish. The consistency of both the polish and topcoat is like a regular nail polish consistency. It applies smoothly and it isn't gluggy or gel like as the name suggests. I was incredibly impressed with the diamond top coat and amazed at how fast my nails dried as soon as I applied the Diamond Top Coat. I think it took about minutes to two minutes to dry. I really love the fast drying time as I am always in a rush trying to accomplish the next task in my list and waiting for polish to dry is something I don't enjoy. If you are in the market for fast drying nail polish then Revlon gel envy is worth to try. You won't even have to apply additional dry drops or any additional products to make your nail polish dry fast. I love the variety of colours available in the range. There are thirty shades to choose from and a colour to suit every occasion and every mood. There are a couple of slightly glittery shades and a really good nude colour for everyday wear. The bright colours are eyecatching too.My favourite shade for winter season is highroller, Its a beautiful eggplant purple and love how it suits my medium/dark skintone. I also adore the shade sky's the limit it's a beautiful sky blue shade with a hint of shimmer. The glitter in sky's the limit paired with the glossy topcoat looks brilliant and noticeable. I got several compliments at work over this colour . I like the fact the colour and topcoat are sold seperately and not as a combo because all you need to do is purchase one diamond top coat and several colour polishes according to your choices. The nailpolish with the diamond top coat lasted me 5 days without chipping and that is a huge huge massive plus side for me. I always have problems with nail polish chipping on me on the second day of the mani. Im loving the longeivity of this polish, it lasts me throughout most of my work week and saves me time as I don't have to worry about re-doing my nails every other day. I also love the finish, the manicure looks so glossy and shiny and is comparable to gel like manicure without the effort of getting your nails cured under an UV light. The nail polish removes easily with your regular nail polish remover. You don't need a special nail polish remover. The nailpolish also didn't damage my nails and also I liked the fact that I didn't have to use a special tool to scrap off the gel polish. You don't need special tools to get a quality manicure with gel envy and it is effortless and an easy process even for someone like me who is clumsy at applying nail polish.I give it FIVE stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get to trial this product as part of the trial team and even more super excited to see we got to trial the entire range! - Thank you BH and Revlon! The range of colours is fantastic - there is definitely a colour to suit everyone - from barely there pinks and nudes to bright and bold reds, yellows, greens and blues. My favorite purples and of course the classic French colours. The packaging is very appropriate with the bottle being a good size and shape to fit easily in your hand making application easier. You get quite a few uses out of each bottle and it has quite a good seal to stop air getting in and drying it out. I like that the bottles are clear so you get a true representation of each colour. The polish itself is a good consistency that allows for and easy application and dries super quick. As a mum of three I am all for time saving products and this is definitely one of them. The colour polishes are colour and base in one saving a whole step and the diamond top coat dries super fast allowing me to get on with my daily activities quicker. The colours are infused with optical brighteners which give that extra shiny, glossy look that every girl loves. They are also have a high pigment saturation which means you get the full depth of the colour easily, using less product. The diamond top coat is very aptly named as it gives the colour the strength and shine of a diamond. My favourite part is it's formaldehyde free meaning no stinging on sensitive nails and none of the risks associated with this! I work with a lot of strong chemicals which usually strip most polishes but gel envy polishes have been holding there own! After a week the only sign of wear is on the tips where it is slightly coming off. Other than that the only reason for me to remove and reapply is either a colour change or because I can see the growth at the base of the nail. As a shellac fan I don't think they have the same lasting power as I can get 2-3 weeks from that with the only wear being the growth. However, it does compare to the CND Vinylux brand of gel polishes. Even some of the colours are identical e.g I tried the dark purple High Roller which is identical to Vinylux Rock Royalty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The names of these nail polishes are fun-loving and lighthearted - names that reflect memories and ideas about fun nights out at casino's, cardgames - and a bit of lighthearted gambling!! The nail polish itself could well be worn beautifully to a casino where hands and nails are all on show, without any chance of the polish getting chipped or losing it's glossiness! I have never been able to wear a nail polish for so long and have it look so gorgeous as I have with these truly longlasting nail polishes; and 'polish' for the nails they are! So very, very beautifully glossy! I'm actually sitting here typing this at the end of a whole week of wearing this polish (colour: All Or Nothing) and my nails are still glossy enough to impress. Any previous polish I've used on my hands gets chipped, ugly and needs complete refreshing by the 3rd day of wearing it. This Nail Envy beats any other polish, "hands down" for longlasting beautification of my nails - only by the 5th day did I notice the tiniest of chips in one of my nails. (I'm a hands-on person constantly using my hands both indoors and outdoors - I'm a a mum-of-three and I love gardening and actively looking after all my pets - chickens, cats & dog.) I like to wear polish on my hands but in the past have always found it's chipped and got wrecked way too quickly to leave it on for more than a few days - by then it normally really needs to come off. The colours are also so easy to remove with ordinary nail polish - actually easier! That's something I definitely love about this polish too. I'm also discovering that the smell of these polishes are nowhere near as strong as my other nail polishes that I've used. There is a special Top Coat that comes with this great range of Nail Envy colours. This top coat is called Diamond Top Coat - and I can see why. It makes the nail colour hold fast and glisten with bold shine. I love this top coat and am about to invest in a couple more bottles as I can see I'll be loving and wearing this nail polish over and over! The brush is also a bit different - if you look closely it has two sections on the brush of bristles which seem to hold the polish better. Very innovative brush! Revlon has always represented 'glamour' to me and this new Colorstay Gel Envy range completely embodies my idea of glamour to the highest degree for nails! I'm loving everything about this range - the lighthearted & glamorous names, the beautiful and modern colour choice (some with shimmer, some creamy), the easy application and easy removal, the glamorous long-lasting glossiness as well as the lower odour. Oh and it's also free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP!! I'm completely won over!

The problem I have is that I use my hands a lot - gardening, cooking and cleaning and polish always chips and breaks. I was delighted by Colorstay Gel Envy because it lasts much longer on me than usual polishes and still comes off easily so I can change the colour.

I like to do nail art and these are an excellent base colour with the longevity that I need for my nails. The polish acts as a barrier for my nails they seem to grow nice and long when I use them. They last a long enough time, but I do like to change my nail colour fairly regularly. The polish itself is a little bit thicker than usual which I really like because its so much better for my nail art. The is a wide brush which is really easy to use and means that you can apply the nail polish really fast. I think the only downfall is that it takes a while to dry and if you apply a second coat too quickly it can cause bubbles in the polish and I start again so I make sure I have plenty of time to enable it to dry properly.

This shade gives almost opaque coverage with one coat, but I apply an extra coat just to be sure. It applies evenly and without any streaks. This is the only Gel Envy shade that I have tried, so I can't compare it to others in the range, but this shade has a thick consistency. However, the nail polish is not so thick that it peels off. Although Winning Streak is a beautiful shade, I have been disappointed with it because it always chips in less than 24 hours (I use it with the Revlon Diamond Top Coat). I have read reviews for Gel Envy and longevity seems to vary for each shade. I have fragile nails with vertical ridges on them, and so far I haven't found a nail polish that doesn't chip quickly. Despite the lack of longevity, the Gel Envy Longwear Nail Enamel has many positive attributes: it is easy to apply in a few strokes, it dries quickly, and there is no need to apply a base coat.

Although I have not used it a lot, I already like the formula a lot. I find it slightly thick when applying, but it dries very well. It lasts, even without a top coat (I should use top coat but I am often too lazy and impatient to use it) so that makes me like this product even more. The colour Pocket Aces is the perfect orange/peachy fuschia colour, better than any I have used before. It makes me so happy to wear it!

You only need one coat and it dries in no time. I love the bottle, it is a nice shape and size. It is not as long lasting as I'd have hoped though, but I am a little bit rough and careless when it comes to my nails. Put it this way, it's not like having shellac done at the salon, but then again I did only wear one coat. So perhaps two coats would do the trick. Still, much better than any other nail polish I have every tried.

When Shellac polishes first came out I used them frequently and really loved them but I found they were really destroying my nails! The Revlon Colour Stay polishes have the extended finish of shellac and gel but without the damaging effect on nails. They don't last quite as long as gel or shellac but they do last a lot longer than regular polishes! The wide brush also allows for easy application and 2 coats is enough to ensure a perfect, non-streaky finish. Would highly recommend!

I didn't give it a 5 only due to the cost, I've run out of the top coat. As I couldn't find it discounted anywhere, and didn't want to pay that much just for that the top coast, I ended up going with a slightly cheaper brand.

I have found though, that Revlon colorstay gel nail polish, is able to withstand more. It's durability is amazing and my nail polish remains chip free for many more days than I would normal get with a normal nail polish. The wider brush and thin formula allows for easier application of the polish over the whole nail. I usually prefer to do two coats, depending on the colour, and then finish with the top coat. The polish dries really quickly, and has a shiny/smooth finish. I would love to see an even bigger variety of colours as an extension of the range!

However Gel-Envy has blown me away. It lasts as long as gel and can be removed with nail polish remover. You get the best of both worlds. It dries quickly, which is another big tick in my book. They seems to be adding to the colour range as well. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone who like to paint their nails.
