[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the translucent shade most days on my oily skin to set my makeup and give a matte appearance. I haven't tried any of the other shades, but my experience with this as a setting powder has been brilliant! Doesn't give a cakey appearance at all, in fact I can never tell it's there... other than the lack of shine that lasts all day or night!

On the flipside they don't always meet my coverage expectations on bad skin days, and can also appear a tad greasy in the t-zone area. Revlon Colorstay pressed powder seems to solve all of these problems in one. This product gives a helping hand to that sheer BB cream or tinted moisturiser that sometimes just isn't enough. The powder itself is very finely milled and applies silky smooth. It contains the slightest bit of shimmer giving your skin an ever-so-subtle glow that is in no way obvious. Dry patches aren't emphasized and oiliness is eradicated while skintone is more even. The result is a smooth, natural looking finish that lasts all day and night. The packaging is fairly standard and convenient enough. It's housed in a black flip top compact with a mirror and sponge. Despite being a self-confessed beauty junkie that rarely buys the same product twice and always has to try something new, I would happily secure a permanent spot in my makeup bag for this.

I found that it makes non colourstay foundation colourstay, resulting in longer lasting foundation. It also adds extra coverage and the shade is so naturally flattering, it doesn't look at all cakey. I don't use the applicator provided, I apply it with my powder brush only to the areas needed, and I purchased 2 shades (1 light and 1 dark) to contour and highlight. I think this is a bare essential that no gal can afford to do without.

I just replaced it with a spare one i bought.

It's perfect for extra coverage on top of any liquid foundation and sets the makeup perfectly. It is convenient to carry and easy for touchups. I have very oily skin and this powder ensures that my t zone stays matte which also makes my makeup last all day. The powder also compliments any Colourstay Liquid foundation, because it adds more colour and depth to the face. Would recommend to everyone

Though that can be fixed with a hydrating face mist. The best way to apply this foundation (in my opinion) is to press it on using the puff that comes with it.

And the finish isnt as 'photoready'. Nevertheless, its still a really good compact powder and definatley triumphs amongst the many that are out there. I just use it depending on what i want to achieve from my powders that day!

She recently decided to send me her powder that she never used in colour 'deep' which is way too dark for me, so I don't really know what to say about this powder. I use it to contour my face and it does that perfectly. However it is too powdery for contour, as it is a powder obviously. I don't tend to throw away products that don't fit me as I hate to waste, so I found a little different use out of it. Packaging is pretty handy. I don't remember if it has a sponge applicator inside or not, I think I lost it or something. You get a round black plastic packaged powder with a 'button' which saves the powder from opening up in your purse. It also has mirror, which makes application really easy. It feels soft on your skin which I like. It has that velvety finish, and doesn't make you face caky. I personally use it as bronzer as mine is too dark. I thought it was matte, but I just have realised that it has little shimmer in it, which probably makes it really pretty on face. Covers really well. I remember I used this powder long time ago in a lighter shade without foundation and it gave me great coverage. It also doesn't make your skin oily or anything like that. Feels really light and soft. I don't really know if I recommend it or not, because I didn't really use it properly. I may actually buy myself a new one of those in lighter shade and see how it works. If I will, I will write a new review:)

It stops any shine on the skin but never cakey. Sets my foundation and will actually last the day. Love the packaging aswell because it has a mirror and sponge for easy checks and touchups (not that you need many!) Only thing is it can transfer onto clothes. Overall very good value and excellent quality
