General Information

This device is intended to be applied externally to a body surface and provide cold or heat therapy to underlying tissues to relieve discomfort from muscular aches and pains.

Clay is more effective than gel hot & cold packs*

Retains heat better than gel
Very soft but does not ‘flow’ so forms to the body without leaving ‘empty spots’

WARNING: Do not cut or puncture the pack. Discard if punctured or leaking.

The unsupervised use of this product by children, elderly or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.

FIRST AID:

To be used if contents are ingested, or exposed to skin or eyes.

IF SWALLOWED: Immediately give a glass of water. First aid is not generally required.If in doubt, contact a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor.

EYE CONTACT: Wash out immediately with fresh running water. Ensure complete irrigation ofthe eye by keeping eyelids apart and away from eye and moving the eyelids by occasionallylifting the upper and lower lids. If pain persists or recurs seek medical attention. Removal ofcontact lenses after an eye injury should only be undertaken by skilled personnel.

SKIN CONTACT: Wash skin with running water (and soap if available). Seek medical attentionin event of irritation.

Ingredients

Glycerol, Kaolin, Silicon Dioxide, Water, Mica, Isothiazolinone

Directions

TO USE HOT PACK:

Before heating, the pack should be at room temperature. If you store the pack in the freezer follow the instructions for HEATING FROM THE FREEZER below.

CAUTION: Follow the instructions carefully. Misuse can cause burns. Overheating the pack in the microwave can damage or destroy the product. If any swelling is observed while heating turn, off the microwave immediately and wait for swelling to go down before opening microwave.

Place pack (not in fabric cover) in the centre of microwave. Flatten the pack and ensure clay is evenly distributed. Heat on HIGH power setting for the time indicated below.

1200W - 45 seconds

1000W - 1 minute

800W - 1 minute, 15 seconds

600W - 1 minute, 30 seconds

If microwave does not have a turntable, rotate the pack 90º halfway through heating. Carefully test pack temperature prior to use. If it is too hot, allow to cool to desired temperature.

Maximum temperature of the pack is reached approximately 3 minutes after removal from microwave. If a hotter temperature is desired after this time, heat in microwave for 10 seconds at HIGH power and test again. Repeat this process until desired temperature is reached. Place the pack in its fabric cover before applying directly to skin.

REHEATING: If the pack is to be reheated after 30 minutes of use, follow the above instructions but reduce the time by half.

HEATING FROM THE FREEZER: Place pack (not in fabric cover) in the microwave on DEFROST or 30% power for double the amount of time in the chart above. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then follow the normal heating instructions.

TO USE COLD:

Place pack (not in fabric cover) in a freezer. The pack will reach the temperature of your freezer after one hour, however it will remain flexible. Place the pack in its fabric cover before applying directly to skin.

CAUTION:

Should application become uncomfortable, remove the pack from the skin and wait a moment before reapplying. It is generally recommended that a hot or cold pack should only be applied to the skin for 20 minutes at a time with a 2 hour interval between applications. Do not use over sensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of this product by children, elderly or incapacitated persons may be dangerous. Cold therapy is not recommended for people with circulatory problems, Raynaud’s syndrome or diabetes without consent by your physician.

Omg i think it lasted over an hr i think??? But once one spot is used to with heat,u dnt feel heat so u touch heatpack to move or to reheat,but it is still hot!:)) u dnt have to keep going to reheat!!!!!! Also, the bag that comes with has straps that you can wrap where you want to be held. One down size was,my microwave was bit small to spread this large size heatpack evenly. I ended up pop it in the corner for somehow....:( and got the medium size which fits perfectly into my microwave... but ny husband already ordered bigger microwave for me yo use large size heatpack!!!!!!!;;;; Prob need to order another big one again?:))

The pack sits flat on your back and it not to bulky. It stays hot for a long period of time. If you need a heat pack get this one.

My partner has severe skin allergies that flare up in summer. As the clay packs remain soft when frozen they mould to the body as required and are perfect to ease hot and itchy skin

I love the way I can doze off to sleep knowing that the icepack will stay in place around my very painful knee. It seems that 20 minutes later I can wake up, replace ice in freezer and wander back to bed - only to repeat in a couple of hours, when the pack will be nicely frozen again and ready for me to us.

Also, once you heat it to specification and use it inside the provided cover you cannot feel the heat at all coming through, rendering the fabric cover useless.
