Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for first timers I bought this month's ago but just recently got sick again and it does work and if you are a first timer using this, it isn't easy. Yeah.. Not really idiot proof I guess. The only downside is that if you don't put it on right you'll end up with the wrong reading but eventually I got the hang of it. Batteries haven't died, thank God but I'm a happy customer and will use this in the future.

Loud beep when it takes the temp, not ideal for a sleeping baby. Colour indicators, great. Quick temp read, yes All and all, okay for a cheap ish thermometer.

I have searched in person and online and had no luck. The purchase is a waste of money if you can't replace the battery. It is disappointing to see it is still being sold.

Went to find a new battery after only 2 months and it was near impossible. Ended up at a watch specialist and $13 later it works again. Not good enough vicks.
