It is easy to use on any member of the family. The speed of the reading makes it especially easy to take temp on the 4 month old. Longer term ...... since it uses 2 x AA batteries there is no need to try and find non standard button batteries as we always have AA's on hand. Very easy to remove batteries when Unit is not expected to be used.

It has the nightlight which makes it easier to take temperatures without waking my little one. I love that it came in a carry case so I can keep the spare probe covers with the device. Could not have been happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use! I bought this thermometer online for my mum as she had seen mine and how easy it was to use. Correctly position it in your ear and it displays your temperature in about 2 seconds...too easy. The display lights up, which is great if you are taking a temperature in the dark. The thermometer also automatically turns itself off if you forget to, which is a great feature. The battery seems to last ages, and it comes with a holder and a case - both very handy and conveniently sized. My last one of these lasted 12 years and I only replaced it after it was dropped from great height onto an unforgiving floor which put a small crack in it (still works though and is now the back up). Highly recommend!

Carry case keeps everything together, so compact, fits perfectly into nappy bag. Replacement covers are an extra expense to consider before purchasing, they can only be used once for hygiene purposes.

The product is an ear thermometer which is great from 3 months onward but not accurate for newborns because their eardrum is not fully developed and not accessible for an accurate scan. I was after a laser thermometer which sounded like thermoscan. If you zoom in on the pic, the smaller writing says ear thermometer, but the product description on the website doesn't mention ear thermometer anywhere. I thought that might be important.

I purchased for use in family daycare and during covid, however it gives me totally different readings multiple times on the same child. One was reading a fever temp and then checked underarm and it’s not! It’s great to use with disposable caps so it’s hygienic and quick reading for little kids but not reliable
