General Information

Protect your lips with this SPF 50+ lip balm. Dermatologically tested, it contains moisturising Vitamin E and cocoa butter, and is 4 hours water resistant.

Provide very high UVA and UVB broad spectrum protection to your lips with SunSense Lip Balm SPF 50+. It is suitable for all skin types, provides 4 hours water resistance and includes moisturising Vitamin E and cocoa butter. Its glide on applicator helps ensure even coverage over the lips. Free of preservatives and lanolin, this lip balm has been dermatologically tested and is Australian made and owned.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear to further reduce risk. Frequent re-application is required.

However, once the lip balm is warmed (even just once) the balm isn't as deeply moisturising, as the ingredients seem to separate. If it were a thicker consistency OR EVEN A STICK this would be more moisturising. I still love it because of the SPF factor and no taste.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protects and hydrates I bought this lip balm mainly for its spf 50 sun protection. It comes in a opaque squishy tube with a slanted tip. There seems to be this extra bit of plastic hanging around the tiny hole on the slanted tip that is not comfortable on my lips when applying the lip balm. Hopefully this little defect is just a one off as I don't think the extra bit of plastic was meant to be part of the product packaging. The lip balm is clear gel-like texture and smooths onto lips easily. It has a slight sunscreen scent that I'm not too fond of. The high sun protection puts my mind at ease when out and about but I have to be careful as this lip balm can leave a white cast. If you want hydration and sun protection, this lip balm is sufficient.

I found it long lasting, even after eating, drinking, smooching, etc, my lips still held on to the moisture it provided. Also a great pre-lipstick conditioner. So difficult to apply though - only because you need to have muscles of steel to squeeze the tube hard enough to get some out. I think it may be because of the very very high SPF factor (50+), maybe that makes the product so thick. Boy is it hard to get out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lip balm for summer! If you tend to get overly dry lips on those summer months, then this lip balm is for you! I got this in the December 2014 Beautorium, and have ever since been using it as my daily lip balm. It has a smooth texture, and creates a moisture layer on top of the lips to keep them moistured for an extended period of time. I can't stand lip balms that absorb into your lips, and your lips are dry 5 minutes later- this lip balm doesnt do that, so this is a big plus for me! And with 15+ SPF, you can spend a long day at the beach knowing your lips are protected!

I've been on the hunt for something different ever since. So glad I came across this product. It's a little greasy, but great for dry lips and offers excellent protection. The product is easy to apply with a glide on applicator.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft & Protected Lips This is quite a good lip balm. I love that it not only has SPF but quite a high sun protection at 50+. The balm itself is a lot more thicker than other balms I've tried but leaves your lips smooth and leaves a nice gloss sheen.

Though I use it everyday, it would also be an essential for the beach. It looks just like vaseline being similar in texture, however a little bit greasier. Goes on invsisible, giving just a slight sheen (the same sort you get with vaseline) There is no scent and the applicator is a simple slanted tip. Works as well as I expected, and being the only lip balm with this high an SPF factor, I will definintely be repurchasing.

It has a great smooth consistency, and leaves my lips feeling soft and nourished.<br />It does leave my lips a little white and pale, but I use a lot. And it quickly absorbs into my lips and looks like a gloss not like I have zinc lips.<br />Great size, and I get the whole summer out of it and I use it 5+ times a day.<br />The packaging says glide on applicator, however I found it quite messy and am continually wiping it clean when applying straight to my lips from the tube. I find it better to apply to finger and then smooth onto lips.<br />No smell and flavour with this balm. And its made in Australia extra bonus.<br />My only other small criticism is the soft tube, I personally prefer a stronger tube that doesn't loose its shape as I feel I waste half the product (but that's more personal then a flaw in the product).<br />I would recommend it to other beauty lovers, who want an SPF lip product.<br />xox

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a fan of the white residue... I love the moisturising component of this product. It leaves your lips silky smooth and rids all dry flaky bits. It's the perfect lip balm in that sense HOWEVER, unfortunately I've had to stop using this lip balm because it leaves a horrible and VERY noticeable white cast on your lips. And these white marks will sink into the lines on my lips, making them appear as though they are dry, flaky, wrinkly lines - not a fan of, at all! I am extremely disappointed that I now consider this product unusable!
