General Information

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash with 2% Salicylic Acid and MicroClear technology is a facial cleanser for acne-prone skin which provides deep cleaning which helps prevent pimples without over-drying your skin.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is an alcohol free cleanser that provides deep cleaning without over-drying your skin. With 2% Salicylic Acid and clinically proven MicroClear technology, it penetrates deep to clean pores to help prevent pimples by removing excess oil and surface buildup. Special ingredients soothe and condition skin, leaving it clean, residue-free and never oily.

Warnings

For external use only. Not suitable for sensitive skin. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are using topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product. This may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one product should be used. When using this product avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drugstore Acne Product Win! I bought this on the recommendation of Dr Dray from YouTube. This is an affordable, effective acne car product. The cleanser has 2% salycilic acid (BHA) which can help acne prone skin. This is also surprisingly gentle on the skin. I have combination skin thsa leans more oily in the t zone and did not find this stripping or drying. For my acne, it was semi effective though I have found more effective products since. That being said, I still think it warrants 5 stars for those who are wanting to try something cheap and easily accessible!

I pair it with an oil free moisturiser. It is easy to find as it is stocked in major supermarkets, so is not too expensive.

It is gentle enough and cleanses very well. Initially my concern was that it would not work in harmony with my anti aging creams and serums (which are a different brand), however, it works very well and does not hinder the results. I use this product in conjunction with Neutrogena's Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish for exfoliating

I have been using this for quite a long time and i absolutely love it! it gets all my make up off, its easy on the eyes and i think the small amount of salycilic acid helps with breakouts and keeps my skin clear and less oily. I tried a few other options like Serums etc but it wasn’t until I got this my skin changed dramatically! Salicylic acid really works wonders on acne prone skin.

It keeps my skin clear, and is mild enough for me to use every day (once a day) even though I have highly sensitive skin and rosacea as well. I've tried other products here and there, but my skin always over reacts, and I always end up coming back to this!! Please don't ever discontinue! This is the best acne wash I've ever used, and that includes products that are triple or even 5x the price.

I found the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash left my face feeling clean and refreshed, yet did not dry it out or leave an oily residue. With consistent use there has been a significant improvement in my skin. Although I still get pimples, they aren't giant red angry lumps you could see from space. The small pimples that do come up are gone within 1-2 days.
