I don't feel like this cleans in between my teeth as effectively as some other dental flosses. It's good to keep as a back-up for when my usual dental floss runs out.

As others have stated here it is now just terrible, constantly fraying when flossing. And very difficult to use. I used to love it but sorry you have totally lost me as a customer. Will definitely NOT be buying again. What’s changed and why? Sounds like your quality control systems have left you down badly. Very disappointed indeed. What a waste of money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The "new" floss is just bad. Colgate changed its formula from the old tape/ribbon format back to traditional nylon/stringy floss. What a bad idea. The nylon/string just split apart so easily. And cutting when cleaning. Bring the old tape back !!!

Can't think of any reason Colgate would change it but to save money and try to sell an inferior product disguised at the good old product. The reviews here show what people think, unfortunately the fact that these reviews have been here for months and the product is still the same suggests Colgate is doing nothing about it.

I was actually worried I would chip a tooth. These flosses used to be flat and wide and work without snagging and shredding. The flosses are nowhere near the same standard as they were.

Unfortunately colgate completely changed it and now it doesn't fit between my teeth and when it does it shreds and doesn't actually do its job. Sometimes I need floss to get the floss strands out!

It ripped and got stuck in my crown tooth for half an hour, I had to try and use my other precious old colgate floss to try and pry it out, along with tweezers. Finally it came free with the old colgate floss that didn't break. What have you guys been doing? Who is your designer/product engineer who is signing this off?

I have used your product for probably 25 years now and I am disgusted you guys have changed what it's made from. I am now at risk of damaging a filling or pulling a tooth out as it catches and shreads easy. And to top it off it's so hard to hold it that it keeps pulling through my fingers. Are you going to listen to the people and change it back or is that the end of me buying your product? I cannot keep using this so money wasted and will need to look for a new brand to try. Not happy colgate.

It does not glide between your teeth, keeps getting caught on gums and frays every single chance it gets. Absolutely hate this product and will stop purchasing Colgate floss from here.

I noticed one pack was a dud - shaped like firm string instead of the usual flat ribbon and assumed I either got a bad quality batch or selected the wrong product. Like others I purchased another pack only to find the same issue. I then Googled to learn this floss has changed. How did this change get through quality control? It gets stuck between teeth and rips. Was it tested? I have to change brands. Seems deceitful that the change wasn’t indicated on the packaging.

Hard to slide between teeth, frays immediately, fibres gets stuck between teeth, and frayed floss is painful/difficult to remove. It's even hard to grasp. Who approved this product??

I can’t even get it between my teeth most of the time, and when I do, it feels as though it’s going to chip a tooth when I try to pull it back out. When my husband uses it, by the third tooth, it either breaks or frays. We have now switched to Pliksters Gorilla floss and Oral B floss. This is reminiscent of Nescafé's Blend 43 recipe change which completely obliterated their life-long consumer base… why ‘fix’ something that isn’t broken?!
