General Information

Beauty Flash Balm helps energise the skin for a radiant, glowing complexion. Use by itself as a day treatment over your regular day cream, mixed in with your Clarins liquid foundation, or as a mask.

Directions

As a day treatment: apply without massaging, gently smoothing a very thin layer onto a cleansed face, neck, and décolleté area. Then apply skincare and make-up.
As a make-up base: apply over your regular skincare product in the morning or evening, then apply your foundation.
As a mask: apply a thin layer 2-3 times per week. Leave on for 10 minutes. Remove the excess with water and pat dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best finishing cream/primer EVER !! This balm is beautiful, a rich thick cream which is dabbed over your moisturiser before applying your makeup. It plumps up the skin like no other cream i have ever used and can be used on its own with a serum just as effectively. I have tried so many creams and always come back to this, can not recommend it enough !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My primer of choice! I love this product since my Mum introduced me to it a few years ago. Being a Clarins fan Mum has used it for quite a while and I'm so glad I do too now! It is my primer of choice - going on like a dream, leaving a smooth, radiant finish that creates a beautiful canvas for my makeup. It helps to keep my makeup lasting throughout the whole day.

Love everything about it... the texture, the fragrance and most of all the end result. It just makes my face Glow from within, my makeup stays on throughout the day and my skin seems 'taut'. I use it sparingly as I don't want to run out of this.

I had my doubts when I first tried it because too much hype makes me suspicious (how much could it really do?), but I was an instant convert. It really does freshen, brighten and tighten. It really does make my skin look healthier and more glowy. I can't live without this product. It's just awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Grail Product I have been using the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for about 15 years now and I absolutely love it. A friend of mine who had a dry skin type raved about it and despite having oily skin I decided to try it myself. It was amazing- the texture of the balm/cream is light, but still creamy and a little bit goes a long way. Like other Clarins products it has a pleasant plant- based scent. I have sensitive skin and I have never encountered irritation from this product. I use it every now and then as a treatment by applying a thicker layer to my face, waiting 5-10 minutes and then using a tissue or cotton pad to wipe off the excess, but the best way I like to use it is as a primer before I apply my makeup. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, you shouldn't be stingy with the balm, it absorbs quite quickly, so to get the best results you need more than just a sheer application. Apply your foundation immediately after. I use this balm almost every time I apply my makeup and I definitely notice the difference when I don't use it. It gives your skin a noticeable radiance without making it looked oily or congested. Definitely a Holy Grail product for me.

I was uncertain about buying yet another product that is supposed to do wonders but I have not been disappointed. This product while not cheap goes a long way and gives great results. I apply under my foundation and it gives a wonderful smooth base , fills in lines and firms, I also look fresher and really notice the difference when I have been unwell or just exhausted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why didn't I try this sooner?? I tried this product quite by accident and it has now become a staple on my bathroom shelf. I use it as a primer because it doesn't contain any ingredients that cause my skin to break out - most notably it doesn't contain silicone. I can't really put my finger on exactly what this balm does...it just makes my make-up look better and my face look brighter. If I forget to apply this a base I really do notice a difference in the brightness and smoothness of my complexion. My only regret is that I didn't try Clarins Beauty Flash Balm years ago! It's not cheap, but if you cut the tube open when it's near empty it really does last for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Product! Never fails! This has got to be one of my absolute favourite, go-to, always makes me look good products! I was introduced to Clarins flash balm by total accident- my MIL had left a bottle in the spare bathroom, and i was desperately searching for make-up having forgotten my makeup bag, and having a few drinks the night before. I tentatively squeezed a few drops from the tube, and massaged them into my face. After looking into the mirror i was amazed- My dark circles seemed to lighten, my skin looked healthy & moisturised and my entire complexion had some sort of glow! Since then, I have used this balm all the time- i'd use it daily if i had the bank balance! It is great as a base before applying foundation etc, but works equally as well without covering, and I love it on days where my skin needs a bit of a pick me up! I would definitely recommend this product to everyone- it is definitely worth trying for that gorgeous glow!

I watched a few youtube videos & then spoke to my beauty therapist (a Clarins stockist). She advised me to apply it and while it is still tacky apply my foundation. If you wait for it to dry, it has the tendency to ball up. The balm can also be used as a mask. I love the product. You can wear it alone or under foundation. It gives a lovely subtle glow to the skin. Can't imagine I will ever be without a tube of this in my makeup stash.

When I wear it under makeup I have an indescribable glow that looks natural but which I know is attributed to this product. I have found that you need to use a decent amount to have this effect, so it is definitely not an everyday product for me (until I win the lottery). I use for any special occasion or for a pick-me-up treatment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great multitasker I have used Clarins Beauty Flash Balm on and off for about 15 years now and it’s one product I keep going back to when my skin needs an instant pick me up or healthy glow. It’s a bit pricey but you definitely don’t need to use a lot each time. It helps create a smooth, even base for makeup and I feel that it also helps tighten and firm the skin. I think it works best if you apply a small amount under makeup, as it gives you a healthy glow and creates a smooth base. I also like to occasionally apply a thicker layer as a quick, relaxing face mask as it smells amazing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the texture of this moisturising balm The Beauty Flash Balm's classic red and white packaging is really classy, and so is the product within! It has a pleasant scent that's not too overpowering and the texture is smooth and creamy without being too thick, which means it absorbs quite quickly. I wouldn't say my skin looks instantly brighter after using, but it definitely feels a lot plumper/firmer. I find it works as a great primer for my make-up. Great for an extra hit of hydration in summer!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not For Me I feel so disappointed that this product did not work for me in the same way that it clearly has for so many others - I was expecting a new holy grail beauty product, but unfortunately couldn't really tell what all of the fuss was about! I tried to use this as a primer, I found it thick, hydrating and absorbed nicely into skin. It had a slightly unusual fragrance that did not put me off using it, but was also not one that I enjoyed. I found that I may have had a slightly dewy appearance to start my day, but that my foundation (and I tried with a few different types) just slid off my face pretty quickly.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, HG product to the masses doesn't do anything on my skin. I feel like a beauty failure - so many people and beauty gurus rave about it, yet I can't tell the difference between using it on my skin, or nothing at all. I really looked forward to trying this, I guess it's just not for me.
