Directions

It applies on smoothly with a big brush, my skin looks, feels smooth, soft and so clear. I sometimes mix it with my models prefer powder for a little extra coverage. I sometimes wish all these makeup brands/products never excited and we could all walk out with a natural appearance and maybe we wouldn't hhave so many skin issues.. lol if only

My skin is a combination skin so this powder helps to make my oily parts matt which is my t zone I have been using this product since a year and I a in love with this product.

This powder is fabulous for me for these reasons, I only need to use a little and it gives me all the coverage I need, it is lightweight and a great everyday powder for me.

During the day I find it far too glittery and unnatural but in dimmer light it gives me good coverage and it always makes my skin look matte and flawless in photos as the name would suggest. Been wearing this since my year 12 formal and it's done me so well ever since!

I do agree to a degree when othe reviews say it doesn't last all day. I find that if i prime my skin the powder lasts longer and I don't get much shine through the day. Im happy using this for work and going out.

Revlon ® PhotoReady™ Powder eliminates shine and evens skin tone for perfected skin in any light. Our micro-refined, ultra-lightweight texture makes it virtually undetectable, and you totally luminous. Quick disclaimer from the duck: I have this in two shades, 001 Translucent and 030 Medium / Deep. Immediate claims on viewing the product: Not your typical pressed powder compact; I'll admit I'm used to seeing little round compacts with mirrors. What's great about the packaging is it's a tight rectangular compact and you can see through the window just how much is left. It's also easier to pack in your handbag because of its shape. That said, the aforementioned window is a substitute for a mirror, which is sorely missed when you are out and about and you are touching up! It comes with a brush, rather than an applicator puff or sponge, which is another downside. And the brush is nothing to speak of. The clasp / clip on the compact lid is sturdy and lasts from when you first open it to the moment you finish it off (and I have finished off a few of these, which is a testament to the product). Read on! My thoughts on application: I have to say, I really like this product. I've gone through at least three translucent compacts and am onto my second 030. It's light, easy to blend, works with a variety of brushes and the good old puff, wet or dry if you want a heavier finish to your makeup... it's so versatile. This is a go-to in my personal kit, and I am not a professional. I have a collection of powders in loose, compact and mineral, and this is the one I have purchased the most. No, it's not the absolute best, however this is the most consistent, it's easy on the pocket with an average price point, is accessible, is a well-known brand and delivers when I want to look good. To be honest, if I'm low on time, this is the one I constantly go to. No questions asked.

This would not be a great everyday face powder because if you happen to get oily, then the glitter shows on your skin and it looks like you just sprayed glitter onto the face.

I'm only using these for a couple of reasons: easy to use, easy to transport as it's a compact, and ideal for work. What they're not ideal for: lasting all day. There is a very slight shimmer in the translucent and, when freshly applied, doesn't give me the flashback effect you can have in photos from high shimmer or SPF foundations. I use this one to set my concealer or to keep my eye area more highlighted from the rest of my face. I use the medium for the rest of my face and neck. The shimmer is not as obvious in this colour. Downside: this stuff does not last the distance, which is why I'm on the lookout for a better powder in a compact. I don't use this one for when I'm going out on the weekend (that's when the MAC comes out).

I have heard it's a dupe for MAC's MSFN but if it is... well then MSFN sucks. There is a LOT of shimmer in this, but it doesn't translate to the skin which is nice. It does have good coverage, and boosts the coverage of your foundation quite well, but it looks really matte, powdery and can be cakey. I just didn't love it. I will continue to use it up but won't repurchase...

Great if you are only wearing it for a few hours and can regularly touch up but it won't look good for the whole day

The micro glitter does an amazing job of concealing imperfections but shows up in daylight... however it does what it is supposed to and works well for photography. It has decent staying power and and good consistency, and I actually chose to wear this for my wedding recently. However, rather than pairing it with the foundation and looking like a fairy vamp, I layered it over the top of my Revlon color stay in order to just conceal enough for the photos. After the wedding I think the powder ended up in the bin, but served its purpose!

It looked very powdery and cakey and didn't blend well into the skin. I found it also clung to dry patches and accentuated texture on my face. This was a big fail for me and considering the RRP I really was hoping for something a bit better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I seem to always be on the look-out for my perfect powder and I had high hopes for this one as I've had fairly good results from Revlon powder in the past (before my shade was discontinued). Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with the PhotoReady Powder, firstly due to the lack of shades available (3). I felt that that lightest shade (the one I bought) was too light for me, while the medium would have been much too dark. Shade problems aside, my face looked quite good for a short time after application (when used alone) but soon became blotchy and pores and lines appeared to be accentuated. I've never had much luck with mineral products in the past, and I see from the ingredient list that this product leans more in that direction, which might explain why it didn't really suit my skin. I'm sure that a lot of people have good results with this product, but unfortunately it wasn't suitable for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Glittery [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Revlon is always a hit or miss for me - I absolutely love and adore their Colorstay foundation and many of their lip products but their whipped creme foundation and PhotoReady primer just did not work for me. I picked up this powder in translucent thinking it would be a good handbag product to touch up during the day. Firstly, the packaging is quite bulky as it contains a flimsy, little brush that I never used and a tiny rectangular mirror that only shows you a tenth of your face. I could forgive it if the product worked better but it just added to my overall frustration. On to the product itself. From the packaging, you can't tell that it has little glitter particles pressed into it but once you apply the powder to your face, you look like Edward Cullen in the sunshine. I'm not sure how glitter makes you look photo ready but it's certainly not what I had in mind! Because of the glitter, I would not use this as a stand alone setting powder or even a touch up powder. The powder is also not 'powdery' enough to fully set my foundation unless you apply a lot of it...which means you look more and more like a disco ball. I ended up using this product as a brightening powder under my eyes after setting my concealer with a separate powder. Besides the glitter problem, the translucent 'shade' doesn't actually go on translucent. I have light medium skin and it gives a slight ashy cast on my skin. I can only imagine how grey it would make a darker skinned beauty look! I did not feel very photo ready after applying this product. As an oily skinned gal, I need my powder to help my foundation hold up for at least 10 hours. This powder didn't add any lasting power to my foundation, nor did it provide any sort of oil control. It doesn't claim to do any of that but it would have been nice.
