Rated 3 out of 5 by from More like “cool” pack I can’t speak on the hot side of the pack but I purchased as I needed a cold pack for my broken ribs. It only stays cold for about 20 minutes. Don’t bother with putting a cover over it as it makes it not cold at all. Then I would need to put it back in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours to you again. I guess it could be my bad for reading ‘cold pack’ instead of ‘Ice Pack’. It’s more like a cool pack. The ice packs that come in my meal boxes do a better job!

After using them for only two weeks, one of them seemed to have a leak with a small amount of gel coating it’s surface and the cloth wrapped around it. This created a serious risk for infection as my wife’s wound was still healing. I’m very disappointed with this and it has added a lot of stress to an already stressful situation.
