Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Scrub cleans deep into pores and helps prevent breakouts. With Salicylic Acid and MicroClear technology, this scrub dissolves oil, dirt and impurities, helping to unclog pores and leave skin clear and smooth.

I use it at night so I have a fresh face before I apply my night serum. I think using this in the morning could be too drying if you only use a light moisturiser like I do. I have bad acne, and my skin played up the first few days I used this but it has since adapted to my new routine, and I think it helps keep my blemishes to a minimum.

Though using this particular NEUTROGENA scrub I was pleasantly surprised. The beads did not feel like much when I squeezed the product on my hand though I felt them work on my face. My skin had been left feeling clean and soft after use.

I’m sure it’s fine for some skin types though, I have fair skin. The foaming face wash I like & is fine for me so I was surprised the scrub wasn’t. Perhaps spot test first to be safe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not cruelty-free I really wish I did research before buying... This includes menthol, which is very sensitizing and when I used it I did feel a tingling, cooling sensation. Didn't do much for my skin, except for one time when I scrubbed VERY gently on a whitehead I had and it disappeared the next day. Facial scrubs are not necessary at all and are not good for most people. I've since switched to chemical exfoliation by using BHAs, and the results are much better and less physical damage is dealt to my skin. Neutrogena is not cruelty-free... another reason why I won't be buying again.
