General Information

Hirudoid Cream 40g treats bruises, sprains, swelling and scars.

Hirudoid Cream is for bruises, sprains and swelling, the treatment of scars and various inflammatory conditions of the veins requiring medical supervision. Hirudoid is used to treat accidental or surgical injuries such as contusions, sprains and haematomas. For the treatment of scars, Hirudoid assists with loosening scar tissue and the improvement of scars due to injury and surgery. Hirudoid speeds up the healing of bruises, approximately halving healing time.*

* In one study of 10 healthy volunteers, the time it took for 50% of the bruise to be absorbed was 2.1 days for Hirudoid and 4 days for the inactive cream. Larsson B, et al. Thromb Haemost 1985;53(3):343-5.

Directions

Unless otherwise directed by your physician, apply a 3 to 5 cm ribbon of Hirudoid to the affected area once or twice a day as required and massage gently into the skin until absorbed. If the area is extensive or particularly painful, spread Hirudoid on it cautiously and cover with a dressing soaked with the cream. It should also be massaged around the edge of the affected area. For the loosening of hard scars, Hirudoid should be massaged in firmly.

Hirudoid cream was recommended to me and I was amazed. Within a week the bruises were gone making it much easier to breathe without pain. Highly recommend this cream to anyone with bruising and/or swelling.

It was miraculous in easing the pressure and pain caused by these bruises and they disappeared much more quickly than if nothing had been applied. As an AFL player my 27 year old son still uses it himself regularly for the many knocks and bruises he receives and he can still feel its miraculous effects!!

Went to CW and bought the 40g item a day later, rubbed it all over my foot sometimes once a day, sometimes twice a day and when I went back to check with my doctor a week later, the bruising and swelling healing was progressing very well. Very good product. (PS: wish there was also some pain management ingredient in it :) )
